90 days starts when you step on American soil and present the K1 visa to the immigration officers. They will write the date on his I-94 card and I think on the visa. I think Nick's has an entry stamp kinda half on the visa and half on the next page and they handwrote the 90th day date near the stamp. So your guy's will be approx Aug 7 written on his stuff. That's some of what they do when they take you off to another room to process the POE stuff and open the brown envelope. Sometimes they staple the I-94 inside the passport, but they just handed Nick his.

Maybe that was because I called ahead of time with Delta. And said if I cancel the flight what would happen and they said there would be a charge of 250 dollars. Well I guess there is nothing I can do about it now he already booked his flight for may 7th didnt want to take that gamble and he was afraid they would charge his credit card. And do you know if the 90 days to get married starts when they arrive in the us or does it start when you have your interview which I am hoping it starts when he arrives in the us on may 7th because I am planning the wedding now and dont want to have to rush and then get his aos asap. my fiance did a one way trip from england to atlanta. Because if we did a round trip even though it cost less but because he would get a nonrefundable flight it would cost of 250 dollars to cancel the flight home. Which was about the same price if he just did the one way. So he is doing the one way no hassle then.

So you think it is better to book a round trip think that is the way to go and then let it expire or call ahead of time.

yeah I was going to look at flights today for my fiance. It is cheaper if we book a round trip than a one way. So going to check on how to go about cancelling the trip back to england. Is there any one else doing that or is everyone booking a one way.

Found out we got APPROVED!!!!!! Oh what a happy day. I want to thank everyone so much for all their support and listen to me whine...Even though my finace was there for 4 hours. But he can sleep that off later. I am so estastic...Everyone here is so wonderful and I dont think I could of made this journey without you. xxxx

Good luck to you miss g. My fiance also has his appointment on monday as well. I am extremely nervous. Been driving him crazy the past couple of days to make sure he has everything. He is in london now and just cant wait until it is over. So im keeping my fingers crossed. Let me know how the interview goes...Think it should be fine...

Nick's Green Card arrived in the mail today. No updates on USCIS. Just a nice little surprise. Something for all of you to look forward to.

Whoo hoo I just called the dos today and they said that we got an interview date of April 6th at 8:30. I am so excited and relieved at the same time. Finally!!!!

Can I just ask? You only just sent your packet 3 right, coz of the mix up with your DS forms?? So how long did it take from packet 3 to interview date?

Yes we had a mix up when he sent in his first checklist feb 4. We just sent in the ds forms march 19. And got the interview april 6th.

So I dont know if you want to count the feb 4 or the march 19. But when we sent the ds forms he sent another checklist along with that and he put a travel date of april 21. Hope that helps. One more thing I also didnt know for almost 6 weeks that we didnt send in the ds forms. But im sure the interview date would of been some time in march. Noone told up about the forms after countless phone calls and emails. I found out here and online. That is how i figured we didnt send them in.

yes i feel for you monkeyjuice. This is very stressful. In my case my fiancee sent his packet 3 feb 4 and let alone we didnt know we had to mail in the ds forms. So we wasted 6 weeks with noone telling us anything even emailed the embassy and got no response back when I finally figured out what was wrong by looking at the website and finding out the forms we had to send I paniced big time. We finally sent the forms and a new checklist march 19 so im hoping they put it in the system. He already got his medical done and they have that on file but still no word on when to get an interview he did put a travel date of april 21 so we are hoping the embassy takes that in consideration. Talk about panic my noa2 expires may 14. Im just hoping everything is alright and we get an interview soon. If it wasnt for that mistake he probably gotten his interview already. Been extremely stressed out he has had all our paperwork since the beginning of feb hope that is still ok to submit and I wont have to send him any more current ones. So sorry to vent but lately just been nervous stressed and disappointed. But that is my luck if I dont have bad luck i dont have any luck at all. But congrats to all those vj people that got approved that is awesome.

I was just so impatient to get packet 3 sent off because we'd waited so long already & totally didn't realise Mike still doesn't have his 2008 taxes. Urgh.

I'm sure it will be fine...except for all the grey hairs I've got since this started.

Oh yes impatient is not the word. More like frustrated and upset. If someone would of told us after email and phone calls this would of been taking care of over a month ago. But now I just sit and wait which is more stressful cause now my mind wonders to make sure he did everything right. Because Im not there to help him he hates forms lol....But hopefully i will hear about an interview soon. Every time I call dos and they say no packet 3 received yet I say ok ill call you again tomorrow. lol...My grey hairs are getting worse. lol...

all you have to know is your case number. And the beneficary's name. Then they will tell you if they received it and when your interview is.

quick question when you send it packet 3 do you just send it the iv-15 checklist stating you have everything or do you have to send that in along with the ds-156 and the other ones.
