Hey, guys! when you contact your congressman, you'd need to follow thru if you don't hear anything, remember: it's government.

You know what else I think? A couple of weeks ago there were number of inquiries and complaints about VT, so they shaped up their butts and rained NOA 2 faster than CA, now back to being slow. Another storm of complaints and feds inquires could speed things up, perhaps?

So, we were right:

Once scheduled, the beneficiary is provided via mail with an invitation letter and information sheet outlining the steps to be taken.

(Embassy schedules interview prior to mailing out Packet)

and as soon as he gets # case he needs to make an appointment for medical exam and police report. because it takes time too and of course translations of his Russian documents into English. Check the website or he should call to his embassy in Moscow. AS soon as he gets the full packet 3 then he will call to the Embassy again for interview date. Then he will get his Packet 4.

1) we have case number already - it was given to us when NVC sent out the papers

2) police report long done - it took us since August to actually get in Dec Stupid small towns - they are so disorganized

Packet 3 is yellow envelope?

We were under impression, it already arrives with the scheduled date...?

don't worry..time is close and that's why you are getting nervous as for Ukraine and our packet 3, I have already dowloaded it from my Embassy site . And following to their instractions. That's all.. what you have to do right now, it's to gather all your info about fincial supporting.. Affidavit of supporting, forms and etc. and that what you gathered for USCIS. Just update your case again. Maybe here you will find more info!

I called NVC and they told me that my case is at USA embassy in Cairo and they are going to send me packet 3 and they did 3 days later

Great, I called NVC and they told me package was sent out on 10Feb, by the tracking number, package had been delivered in Moscow, but DOS does not show the update info yet. question: if NVC says they have no way of tracking the package, how do they know when it reaches consulate?

Hey, Amber! Sorry to hear this: seems like a lot of Sep filerers got slamed w/RFEs..sorry.

We sent out everything we possibly could. Skype, VZO (history), 12 pictures together, our divorce certs notarized, screen shots, intensity of emails, fone bills, few printed romantic letters, train tickets, hotel bills, boarding passes, my 3 visa stamps in passport, etc./

And still we were shaking after noticing Sep RFE in this trade.

Joe and Nadya, your case had been delivered to Kiev, I think along w/ours to Moscow. Unless there was somebody else who was approved at the same time as you from Kiev

i went to europe last year with school and met him on the flight home. we kept in contact all summer and took a vacation together before he had to return to BY. it was magical. in hindsight, i'm almost glad i was forced into a long distance relationship because we know so much about each other and have become stronger because of it. but this needs to come to an end soon. now it's just stressful!! thx for the support!!

What makes me laugh, is how the Federal government thinks the USC needs 'permission' to bring their wife into the country or keep their wife here if they get married in the USA.

Too many fraud marriages hit the country. On the other hand, bringin your wife/hubby into the country takes even longer than fiance visas:)

also there really should be some way for fillers to effectively cancel their petitions if they break up because I noticed someone who was approved last week who didnt need the visa anymore even though they did try and withdraw the petition... waste of resources still working on these petitions.... grrr VSC

I am a part time student and I also work in a diner, and yesterday I was talking to a somewhat regular customer who tried to tell me it takes 2 days to get a visa to the US, it just depends on where you live. I tried not to laugh in her face, it was pretty hard.

I know what you mean, but we couldn't wait. As soon as we hit 4 months, off went that letter:) So, I just stayed on the top of following thru, and it happened! Whether it was him or luck, we don't know, but frankly, it does not really matter. What matters, is that we have our NOA2!!!!

And that was the happiest day so far in a while:)
