Could anyone share their infopass appt experience?

We have an appt this coming Thursday, and were wondering what to expect, etc.

Reason for our appt: we filed AOS in July, 2009, got RFE 2 weeks later, process resumed in August upon USCIS receiving whatever they needed back.

Had biometrics on Nov 5th, and our interview is scheduled for Dec 22nd.

But still, we have no EAD.

Also, on the USCIS site, it says: our case still pending initial info. Weird, ah?

Anybody had similar situation?

I am going on the 29th for a few days to visit and celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. Hopefully this will be my last visit.

Have a nice visit! My boyfriend and I were just discussing how long our fellow SEP filers, have to wait.

He said: "almost a year to wait for a visa"

I was like: "honey, at lease Canada is $200 away round trip, not $990 to Russia + $200 for visa"

You'll get within a week the date...

update on Us: we'll be getting hitched down in 1.5 weeks. No rush, except, turns out as hot as DC market is for his field (IT), everyone who is somehow reputable, who does not require security clearance which means for citizens only (government, what do you expect),wants a solid Green Card. Temporally employment authorization, apparently, does not quiet cut it.

Quick question.

My interview date is June 8th. I am planning to be back in Philly on the 12th, do you think that IF i don't get the visa that day, will i still be able to fly that weekend? Or should i wait till i get it?

i was hoping to be back by then, would it be a problem do you think??

Wait until you get the visa because even if you dont have the visa in your hand you still kind of have one, it is in the process of being issued. I'd say wait just to be sure that the same thing that happened to Kat&Allie doesnt happen to you. Are you planning to go for a visit or to activate the visa, because if it is just for a visit I'd say maybe can you try and go the weekend before or something? Woo hoo though for having a date I bet you are soo excited! wow that isn't a lot of notice they are giving you, I hope you dont have to travel far for the interview.

And no I havent heard anything yet. I am SOOO MAD that someone who got the NOA2 after I sent in my p3 has an interview date. I am trying not to let it get to me but its very aggrivating, im at about 250 days since NOA1 and still nothing. Which makes it hard to plan a 900 mile move. Hopefully I will hear something soon. I'm calling again on Friday and also going to visit Charles on the same day, but only for 4 days

In the main time, all right, guys, everything is perfect, except...Job market sucks! We really need a 2nd income, as my job is secure, it's not enough earnings to move into our own place, we need a stable 2nd income which is not happpening right now for some stupid reason, besides the country worst unemployment rate..( but we need a job! guys, please send your positive vibes our way! It's our turn to ask for spiritual help!

Well, my daughter and I have our medicals this Thursday and my interview next Thursday....after all this waiting it suddenly seems to be moving very fast

I just need to get one more thing ready for the interview..a letter from a solicitor/notary public to clarify my Parental Responsibility under English Law. I hope I can get it ready in time...i'm moving house tomorrow and starting a new short term job on Wednesday so will be super busy......

Probably, not....it took us 5 business day to get our visa. It depends of the region where DhL deliveres and how often. Where in Belorussia? If it's Minks, you are looking at 3 business days.

also, have you booked a ticket yet? you know, last min things are awfully expensive.

guys, interview ws a success, ticket is purchased, took a week to receive a visa, so he got in hand today!

w/the package stating "Welcome to the USA!"

Somebody asked why I didn't stay in Russia thru interview - you are kidding..I am only allowed 2 weeks paid vacation per year:) So, I used one week for Russia.

It was winter...guess what? My boyfriend says it's still winter there even today - snow storms and -2C.

Could you imagine? That's when we are enjoying beatiful weather here in DC with the opening of Cherry Blossom festival today.

I hate cold:( But it didn't matter when he is next to me..

Update on US:

We are all set to go! He is flying here on 23Apr, as I punched his ticket out of computer yesterday:)

We tried to speed up interview and guess what? We succeeded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We thought: Oh, well, the worse can happened, they can say "NO" to us, my boss always says: no matter what, you should always try..so we did!

My boyfriend wrote them a letter full of emotions pointing out the truth: that we were no able to see each other for 10 long months. Prior to my recent trip to Russia.

And it worked!!! they moved our interview from 21 of April to 31March.

So, we are all set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I’m sort of hoping that the approval is just around a corner but am not holding my breath that there will be any change in our online status any time soon. After all, they still have 2.5 weeks to go till the 60 days after the RFE expires.

The only consolation I'm finding so far is that, unfortunately, there are people out there who have been waiting a lot longer than we have. I don't feel so alone. Wish I didn't have to be in this waiting game but.... Wouldn't have been if people were doing their jobs right.

But thanks to VSC my jewellery making is improving with each passing day and people seem to like it enough to buy it. And since I enjoy it as well…

It occurred to me yesterday that if we don’t get approved in couple of months, I’ll need to buy all new summer clothes since I shipped all my summer stuff to Florida last year. We thought this would be my last winter here but at this rate, who knows?!

Infopass appointment was on Feb 20th. Officer sent an e-mail to the VSC inquiring about my case and why it has not been reviewed. Feb26th, we got our NOA2.

Must have done something. haha.

Oh, wow!!! That actually does help! Thank God, I didn't have to go that route, but it's good to know.

Wonder if the others that are waiting had tried that..? I stoped following August Trade since we got approved, so have no idea what's going on there.

And wow Wisdom, Im really surprised at how fast the interview was scheduled you are soo lucky!!

Thank you! But the interview takes place 2.5 months after NOA2 - that's pretty normal, pending your docs don't get stuck anywhere along the way.
