  1. afghans have a difficult time getting visitor visas because too many of those trying to get here are "students" (translated literally into the local language, dari,as "taliban").

seriously, a-stan is a 3rd world rubble heap. what could you possibly have in common wiht this guy. sure, 30 years ago it was a civilized place, but now ...

  2. If he won't do the paperwork then no, you cannot stay.

Also, you are NOT a "good citizen". You're NOT a citizen. You're an illegal alien residing in the US. Sure, you're paying taxes while working illegally, but that doesn't help you get status.

You need to find out what visa you entered on. Your comment about 2 years isn't normal.

there is no way they gave you a social security number that authorizes work. you are either using a fake number or have a card not authorized for work. you are misrepresenting your situation, and you know it.

  3. If the background checks had been a standalone bill, and not tied up with extraneous features such as the ban on assault-type weapons, could it have passed the Senate vote?

for the record, the schumer bill that reid introduced included a national registration requirement.

    it didn't stand a chance.

the toomey amendment to the schumer bill scrubbed that registration, but included a mandatory "lost or stolen" clause, creating de-facto registry.

    it didn't stand a chance.

the crazy ####### fineswine attached her ### weapons ban 4 times, with small changes in wording.

none of the 4 attachments stood a chance.

the only vote held was in regard to the toomey amendment. it failed, so no vote was held on the nasty old hag's 4 attachments.

the 90% (now 65%) of Americans who supposedly support this ####### don't even know what it contains. the toomey amendment had lots more than just a "background check" in text, and the schumer text was heinous in misrepresentation. so is the average "poll" that is held up to try to lend credence to the insanity. if you poll 100 new jersey housewives, you are gonna get 90% gun control support. enuf said about that.

in any case, enacting legislation that is repugnant to the Constitution is a huge waste of time and money. this ####### is just gonna be struck down, anyway. Constitutional rights cannot be stripped on basis of emotion. let's pray they grow up and stop trying, or just start dying. first on the list, fineswine, then laffenberg, then old chuckie slummer..

the words one fourth-grader copied down after a lesson about the Constitution

A lesson about the Bill of Rights took a strange turn when a Jacksonville, Fla., father found the words, “I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure” scrawled in crayon on paper in his fourth-grader’s backpack.

Back in January, a local lawyer visited Cedar Hills Elementary, the school Aaron Harvey’s son attends, to teach students about the Constitution, reports TheBlaze. Now here’s where things get weird. When the attorney left, Harvey says the fourth-grade teacher dictated the sentence and had students write it down. Several of his son’s classmates corroborated this story.

  5. sounds like this woman is an accessory after the fact, at least, nad an accomplice in unlawful flight to avoid arrest.

    http://dailycaller.com/2013/04/25/report-fbi-investigating-boston-bombers-wife-who-warned-husband/#ixzz2RajPXpAk

The wife of Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev is now being considered a potential accomplice to the attack by the FBI, according to a report by The Weekly Standard.

The Standard’s Stephen F. Hayes reported Thursday that Katherine Russell Tsarnaeva is being carefully looked at by investigators as a possible accomplice.

She reportedly called her husband in the hours after the FBI released photos and videos of the Tsarnaev brothers for their suspected involvement in last week’s blasts that killed three and injured over 250 people.

That phone call reportedly led to the chaotic flight of the Tsarnaev brothers, involving more explosives and a shootout with police. Tamerlan died late last week from injuries sustained in that shootout.
