i, for one, is PRO pre-nup...all my family members went through it...my cousin is a lawyer specializing in wills and succession so she was the one who suggested this...

my husband (a USC) didnt want one but, his father suggested (after going through 3 divorces) that he offer me one....he told his father that he thinks we don't need it because i have whatever he has...his father is more concerned about his inheritance from him...i dont know about US laws but in the philippines, as far as i know, even if the couple has a pre-nup agreement, the spouse doesnt have a right on the inheritance portion of his assets but the children do (im not so sure about the children's rights, though...not yet a concern coz we dont have kids yet)....anyone who knows about the inheritance money as part of the pre-nup?

my husband and i have been married for over a year now but i am still contemplating on discussing pre-nup (though, it will seem like a post-nup this time, hehehe) with him for the only reason that i dont want to be burdened by his debts in case the marriage falls apart....it so happened that he's got some debts (coz he lost his job for a couple of months two years before we got married) and i dont have any....any suggestions for me? anyone here who knows rules in CA (coz we might plan to go back to LA -- my and his family is from LA though he is now based in vegas for two years now and im flying to vegas, too, when my K3 visa gets released) or Nevada on sharing/liability of couple of/on property and debts?

i also need your advice for clarification...please help...thanks...

btw, i just figured out tonight while fixing my files that i already got a manila case number for my CR1 at nung may pa pala nasa akin...but, i kinda neglact it bec i was interviewed for k3...since k3came in first, my husband asked me to go for k3...question, what happens to my CR1/IR1 application? and my case number for the CR1/IR1, can i still use it to follow up sa call center? baka kasi nag-abot na nga yung 2 eh, maybe this is the reason bakit matagal nirereview case ko...haaayyy....

i think i have priority date on my CR1/IR1 case number but i dont have a priority date on my K3...i was interviewed for K3 on september 4th...

joserizal, napansin ko nga may separate na line or something pag military but the thing is, my husband is/was not the one in the military...actually, yun yung frustration sa kanya ng dad niya kaya ayun, nagpiloto na lang para kahit pano may pambawi siya sa dad niya....

i want his dad to email the embassy tutal nangungulit na din dad nya samen eh...his dad used to hold a high rank in the US Airforce and he served the Federal government as parang chief inspector ng lahat ng airports sa US for a really long time...something like that...half brother din niya served in the marines for 6 years though not really a high ranking officer and is now in LAPD...bale, his family talaga has been into service....do you think his dad emailing the embassy will help?

i miss my husband sooooooo bad....though he was just here in august....

im waiting for k3 visa, too...though now, i have been married more than a year....i was interviewed at the manila us embassy on september 4th and until now, my case is still being reviewed by my CO, like most of us september interviewees here in the philippines....still praying, hoping and waiting for visa.....we can't figure out what the problem is since both of us were never married before our marriage and had no criminal case whatsoever....

our system here sucks!!! the addition of the documents verification process even made the waiting unbearable....

nakakalungkot kasi i really dont see any problems with my case...pareho naman kami never married ng hubby ko before we got married...no problems with BC nor MC...ang hirap talaga ng hanging...K3 supposedly ang visa ko...now, im eligible for CR1 na kasi more than a year na kami married but less than 2 years...baka makukuha ko visa ko pag IR1 eligible na ko, married two years and more...haaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy....

before during this time of day, we are all in the chatroom....
