ask ko nga si hubby how it felt to be young and inlove kasi i didnt experience that....he told me coz i was forced to mature early, hehe...was too focused on my career daw....he calls me an old bag, heheh

RayS, good luck to you and Stephanie!!! i hope this will be your last separation (though, this time, it's a good one).

Wishing for the speedy processing of your case. :)

sino ba naman hindi mapapagod sa kahihintay ng matinong (i mean, specific) sagot diba?!

  7. im still here, despite being third in history (after stephnria and godismystrength), hehehe....

i haven't been calling the embassy lately coz like i said, im done calling....;) my husband will call when he gets home daw but i dont think he can make it to embassy office hours...he usually gets home at 5pm (manila time)....

ping, rei, yes, the seminar i attended was way too much worth my 4 hours.....it's even better that those i attended paying tons of money....and i think, im attending the rest of the other seminars pa as long as i'm here...:)

i sent my hubby bo sanchez's book on 8 secrets of the truly rich (i like bo sanchez a lot, i always buy his books) and he soooooooooo liked it that he got inspired and started on working on our financial goals...playing in the stock market became one of our options...

yes, NOW is not yet the TIME TO BUY because the stock market is bad, according to the financial/stock market consultant who conducted the seminar, but NOW is the TIME TO STUDY and EQUIP yourself with tools and knowledge...the reason why i attended this seminar is because i want to learn to trade stocks online on my own...my hubby became interested, too, after telling him that we shouldn't trust stock brokers or entrust our money to stock brokers...in the first place, it's OUR money so, there's no right person to manage it but us...plus, marami ng niloko ng brokers nila at na-bankcrupt...

the lecturer of the seminar even mentioned that based on statistics, chinese save 50-52% of their income (WOW noh?!), filipinos 15-17% and americans save ZERO, as in NADA, NOTHING!!!...and i realized, this is soooooo true because americans love debts and loans because of their easy access to these!!!! they loan an enormous amount of money even before they could even earn it....so, as spouses or future spouses of these americans (sounding racist yata ah ;) ), we better start teaching them ways to get out of debt and help them save....remember, it's OUR FUTURE..:)

well, this is what i've been busy about lately...

i also would like to share this to my fellow VJers here....on top of attending seminars while here i am also busy looking up online for volunteer work within the area where my husband lives.

since based on timelines, EAD or AOS gets approved in approximately 3 months and known to the fact that my husband will need to go to work still when i get there and my sisters are about 6 hours away from where my husband lives, i thought, i wont be able to stand just staying home....3 months of not working here plus, another 3 months of not working in the US will definitely make me INSANE!!!

decided to forego the december test im suppose to take (with the next test schedule in june 2009), what better way to spend time while in the US besides reviewing for the june 2009 is to do VOLUNTEER work...but my advise, choose volunteer work wisely (especially to those rooting up for a career)...volunteer to institutions or centers which you have always wanted to work for, or if not possible, atleast in the industry you have always wanted to be in...

in my case, i looked up for hospitals within the area (i used maps.google.com to check how long a drive it will be from my husband's place to the institution...i only concentrated on the 10-12 minute drive institutions) ....but, i targetted those with internship openings and programs so, in case i can be eligible for internship after taking the test, i can have easy access as an insider....

volunteer work is usually 4 hours a day for a minimum of 16 hours a week...(VOLUNTEER thus, NO PAY but some insitutions give meal allowance per volunteer day)...i intend to do volunteer work on days my husband work....

fellow VJers, let's forget about the waiting and ranting...(nauna na yata ako mapagod kesa sa embassy peeps, hahah)...let's make use of our spare time wisely...and prep for our future in the US (ngayon pa lang nagsisink in na kailangan ko tanggapin na aalis at aalis tayo and we'll have to leave our family here sooner or later and be with our new family to start a new life)....haaaaaaaaaaaayyyy.....

sabi ng hubby ko, "THANK GOD, MY WIFE IS BACK ON HER TOES, WHOEVER OR WHATEVER DID THIS TO YOU, I THANK THE LORD FOR GIVING U BACK YOUR SANITY. THIS IS THE WIFE I MARRIED, SHE'S BACK!!!"

i laughed so hard when he told me this................so, ano, sakay na!!!! this is a ride to our future!!!

but before i go, of course, i want to do the visa cult dance

  8. joserizal,

mukhang kay window 44 (chubby, chatty woman CO with a line "so far, everything looks okay, please step outside and wait for your name to be called") based on DV at embassy nga ang processing....

well, she works really slow, that's my CO, same CO kami ni jamesnrei..her DV was at the embassy oct 7th...

so, if yun nga ang basis, well, next week pa siguro visa ko....

im attending a seminar tomorrow on Investing in Stock Markets sa PSE Ortigas....dito ko na lang ini-spend time ko sa mga seminars....

i called the embassy today and asked to be connected sa delbros, wala pa naman daw visa ko sa kanila so meaning, ok lang umalis ako ng house tomorrow...i dont wanna be out when my visa is delivered....you know, jamesnrei's experience, no text, no nothing, delbros just showed up....

i cant leave my authorization letter naman din with anyone kasi im usually alone plus kasi my housekeeper comes in thursdays, fridays, and sundays lang and she doesnt know how to read and write...:(

hay naku, their system sucks talaga!!! now i have to call delbros everytime i have to leave home...

  9. present!!!

ako din still waiting for visa...next ata ako sa history kay stephnria at godismystrength....i was interviewed sept 4th, DV is with NSO - aug 20, DV at USE - oct 14....still waiting - nov 12....

sad din coz my family here doesnt want me to leave before christmas but i'll definitely have peace of mind when i see my visa...so, i still want to have it this week and chaka ko na haharapin yung requests ng family ko....
