I think for most of us we have had the same experience. My siblings don't like the fact at all!!! My sis does not even really want to talk to me now. She has cancer and when my SO asked about her she was very upset. She has seen so many programs on scams she does not trust our relationship. My brother is the same way. They think he is juss trying to get in the states. But funny thing is they have not talked to him etc. They are judging someone they know nothing about and dont care to.

My mom, grandmother & aunt Love it! My mom calls him, my grandmother has even talked to him. My grandmother has his pic in her room. She says when she wakes up she says good morning (says his name). how cute! Funny as they all are older and they were the ones I thought who would be against it and they are trying to help us. My older brother is for us he said why not? And has been very encouraging!

My mother shared a story with me and it talked about PUSH. It was very encouraging & every second of the day I try to remind myself of that.

To my fiancé

I know this journey adds lots of heartache & stress. But WE have to PUSH= Pray Until Something Happens! This means that we look to Jehovah to help US endure the trials that come along the way. As you say something good does not come easy & I say you are my good!

For anyone on this type of journey they need to PUSH

When the separation is overwhelming for US both we must PUSH…

Well I received my package in only 12 days! He had a guy he knows of who has his own business make a medium hand made card for me. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! He wrote me a letter, had some other goodies in it but best of all.... He mailed my ring to me! I love it!!!!! Everyone else is in love with the ring as well. The ring had to be made as I wanted silver vs. gold. I know it was a great cost to him to ship my package. I did not ask him to send it but he wanted to. My package of love is Priceless!

What is strange though.. There was a tracking number to the package. The scan always said it was leaving Naija. After a week the same scan. It made it seem it never left there. Then it was delievered to me in 12 days the scan still says the same. I was very happy to receive it so fast!

Thanks for your kind words! Well after 80days in Naija he finally got the package. He had to pay for it but nothing we can do about that now. He said dust was on the package. lol So package number one down. Then last sunday he received package # 2!! That took about 1 month 2 weeks for him to receive but he did not have to pay anything for the 2nd package. I included a 90min tape (in the 2nd pkg) with me talking to him. He sent me a text then he called me and said baby I'm listening to the tape I cried and laughed at the same time. In the first package I did not tell him but I had a letter for all the siblings 7 of them and our parents along with some other goodies they all loved! He has started using some of the meds already.. so I'm happy he has had use of the things already & wont have to spend $.

Now he is sending me something. This will be the first time I have received anything from him. Seems like my 2nd home is taking a long time to ship it out. He mailed out over a week ago. But I'll have to wait. He says he had something handmade for me, I'm so Excited!

Well I dont know as my fiance went to customs/post office today and he said they were not nice and not willing to help at all. He has the tracking number & I emailed him when I first sent it out, the scans from USPS for the pkg. It has been 70days since I mailed it on Nov 24th & 63 days in Naija! I have had it with them. I told my SO it takes the joy out of sending something. Plus I did not add a month ago I sent him another package. lol I have not even looked for that to be deliv anytime soon! Why hold it? That is what makes me angry. Like I told my SO if they want to charge a duty fine tell us the price and we will pay juss get the pkg in his hands! We dont care.. I have the mind that they are not going to hand the pkg over.. I don't know

My papa is getting better but I worry about him and have shed many tears for him. He was hit by a car! But I ring his phone often and send him lots of messages to let him & mama know I'm always thinking of them! I encourage my SO as much as I can b/c he took papas accident very hard! We all did! But lots of family from the village have come to offer support! I spoke to one of my uncles the other day That was nice! Thanks again!

well after all this time the package still has not been deliv. it has been in naija for about 60dys as of this week. when i called USPS they say they are going to have me fill out a claims form as they look at it as a lost packg. I'm not happy at all!!! They did an investigation and Naija did not reply back. they give them 23buss days (so they still have until feb 3 to reply but i doubt that they will). but USPS said to call them in 24 days of the start of the investigation and thats when they said they think its lost. As last scan from dec 1 08 says customs.

Then on top of that my papa soon to be father in law gets in a bad accident and he will be in the hosptl a VERY long time. I'm NOT happy with the care he is receiving!!! The type of accident he was in we are shocked and but VERY happy it did not take his life! I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER mail USPS again!

Wow! My heart goes out to you and my prayers! So sorry to know someone would treat anyone this way. Guess it looks like we are all wondering where you are? I wonder can someone help you with calling cards to call back home? As making them from the cell is really costly!

well i am going to leave it alone.. i called him this morning and asked what he thought about me calling and he said things resume today as there was a holiday or smthn over there and he has been checking it about everyday to see if the pkg is there.. so i told him i juss need to be patient.. but also told him it bothers me knowing it is there (in his country) and not being deliv.. he is so sweet and will say dont worry it will get to me.. and im like ok baby

I can tell you it was not easy to get a person on the phone, he went through a lot of recordings before he made it to someone live!!

Yeah I think we all can relate as being in this type of relationship is one of a kind. It can put a toll on your emotions for both parties. He is thinking of moving out of Naija if all goes well. I told him I would def support that as it would benefit us Both! We shall see......

Well my heart is set on the 2nd post last pic. When my mom made a surprise visit I had a chance to show it to her and she loved it as well. My concern was something that a man and a woman could wear. I talked to my SO this past weekend and I expln to him what it looked like. He said he trusts me and he knows my taste. I said but baby it has a blue flower. lol He said it does not matter. I know I will like it. So I felt better. I did not want anything that would look too feminine for him to wear. He was happy it was in his favorite color. Unless anything changes I am set on that one. I love the colors in that fabric and the half hearts design etc..

$ 99 for 5 yards is reasonable for that quality. There are some other fabric web sites floating around here, try and and do a search and check them out. I don't know where they are buried at. When I have more time I can try to find them.

Thanks reeses16! I took her out to lunch today and I was trying to hold my tears back as I knew it was our last day together. We had a great time!!! I was sending a few text to my SO as I had fried Plantains for the firt time at lunch. They were so Good! He taught me how to make plantains & I cook them all the time but I boil them. She saw the fabric and fell in love with it! In my post (intrntl fabric) I plan to go with the second post last pic if all goes well. And he wants them made in Naija vs. here so I told him that was fine, I'll juss bring fabric with me.

I can't stand when the packages reach Naija I received a scan on the pkg just about every evening (when in US hands) now that is has reached customs no more scans 7dys and still says in customs.. Wonder how long it will still say that or if it has moved?
