  1. I will not beat around the bush here but I tell yah when I came back from seeing my SO last August, shoot! It was very difficult, I hated the month of August, I was stressed, taken to the hospital twice. But then when Septermber rolled along I was ok, why?

    1. Coomunication - Always commnunicate with your SO, emails, text, whatever just keep in touch! makes me feel like they are just around the corner.

    2. Keep busy, distracted, makes time go fast.

    3. STOP checking USCIS, processing times, this WILL KILL YOU!

    4. Be strong for you and your SO, be faithful.

    5. Keep posting, VJ is a great place to vent and just hang out online.

You will make it my friend, I did, just look at my timeline and you will see what I am talking about.

Take Care all of you GODSPEED and fast approvals and good journey for all of us here!

I assume most people are chatting on-line with their SO, but if your not, I would reccomend it. If your SO has access to a computer also, and a web-cam, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, etc work great. and you can see your SO as well as talk for free. If they dont have a computer - and you have the means, I saw a cheap computer with built in web-cam at COSTCO the other day for about $350 - main purpose is just email and internet, but that is basically what you need.

My Fiancee is currently back in the Philippines, and her hometown is in the provinces, so internet connection is not great. Under this circumstance, Yahoo seems to work better than Skype (less bandwidth I think). I miss her being in Japan where she had a great internet connection and I could see her just about any time of the day.

I guess in terms of communication, I'm kinda lucky. I can talk to him everyday even if I'm in work because I'm allowed to use webcam as well as it's easy to insert chatting while working because work is internet related and most of the time in front of my laptop except if I have meetings or I'm in school. Whenever we can't talk online, we call each other. Hahahaha..... kinda expensive and it cost us a lot, my phone bill goes up 3200 pesos a month.

  3. Guys!... Do you check your timeline here in VJ? I just noticed that my adjudicated time is between 02/20 - 02/28, then it was change into 02/02 - 02/08. Kinda happy to see that it is stepping ahead of initial time. Is your adjudicated time also change?

At this moment. I'm not yet sleepy and I enjoy reading some postings here. I wonder if you have sleepless nights too? I do have, and I wait for my Bebe ko's call before I sleep. It's kinda late for me now coz of daylight saving.

I wonder how did you cope up with all the missing of your fiancé? Sometimes, it is really getting into me esp when my Bebe ko is complaining how much he miss me. "sigh" I feel so helpless and making myself so busy is not enough to ease the misery. But we need to do little sacrifices for our ourselves. It's impractical if I will let him see me because not missing him is just momentarily and once he goes back again, I will still miss him evenly. :crying::crying::crying: We better save our money for more fun once we're together.

  4. Donna-marie, for the most obvious reason of all: We wait TOGETHER instead of 10,000 miles apart not knowing when we'll get to be together!!!! Isn't that obvious from my post?! Pshbrk, thanks for your usual clear-headed and knowledgeable response.

I find your response RUDE how was SHE suppose to know..honestly I swear SIGH

So what honestly..I have Not seen my SO for 1.5 years but I am not going to be stupid enough to withdraw my K1 petition JUST because I miss him. If I want to be with him I am sticking to the legal route.

JUST because YOU get married does not guarantee you will get a visa for it. EVEN IN CHINA. Now you are on file and IF you cancel and get married they will know it was fraud; IN TURN will get you jail time.

I realize YOU MISS YOUR SO but we all do, WE are all in the same boat!

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY!

If you filed the k1 visa it will be 6 months to 9 months... BUT if you go get married it will 9 times out of 10 BE LONGER

    THINK ABOUT IT

If she is WORTH it then she is WORTH THE WAIT and IF your love is THAT strong then this wait for the visa WILL BE WORTH IT. If the love is strong YOU both will with stand this wait. It will go by fast..stay busy. WE all have to go through it if we choose to love someone who is not a US citizen

up to you otherwise do what push said and go

Definitely agree with you... Cham.... By the way, forgive me with my ignorance... whats the meaning of "SO" ..... coz for me it means system operator ... kidding!

  5. Yeah... kinda quiet..

I guess I'll be busy starting this Friday because of my class. I have only one subject this semester because I need to give more time for my work. I feel like I'm getting paranoid for this waiting game. Anyway, I'm happy to see that the July filers starting to get NOA 2, which mean processes are moving now. I hope by January, we will see progress in our petition. B)

  6. Hi Guys!

I know that as you get the visa in your hand, you want to fly immediately to be with your love. But then, in some occasion, you have to settle things before leaving. How long can a beneficiary stay in his/her country before going to US after he/she get visa? What if you can't book immediately for plane tickets?

    Thanks for sharing your ideas.

HI THERE I HAVE THE SAME TIME LINE LIKE YOU HOPE TO CHAT TO YOU

Sure... why not... you can send me messages here.... most of the time i have an access in internet.... so whenever i have enough time to check VJ... im checking it...

  7. I yearn for him a lot, too :crying:

Just wondering, what really makes them decide to deny your petition. Usually as what I notice, RFE now is for the missing documents or wrong fill-up of forms. Maybe they expect that you should be aware of showing all proofs for your bonafide relationship. Don't you think, might be the reason for the decision? Some got deny because of other cases such as divorce or other legal matters.

Anyway, good luck to all of us. Yeah, let's have FAITH. God is always there for us. :innocent:

  8. ................................ Waiting

I just wanna share a song with you guys. This song is from one of the good Filipino singer. His name is Gary Valenciano. This is my all-time favorite song that I usually sing for my Bebe ko when I'm in mood.

" HOW DID YOU KNOW "

    I remember so well

The day that you came into my life

    You asked for my name

You had the most beautiful smile

    My life started to change

I'd wake up each day feeling alright

With you right by my side

Makes me feel things will work out just fine

    CHORUS

    How did you know

I needed someone like you in my life

That there was an empty space in my heart

You came at the right time in my life

    I'll never forget

How you brought the sun to shine in my life

And took all the worries and fears that I had

I guess what I'm really trying to say

It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way

No words can express how much I love you

    Repeat Chorus

  9. Did you guys realize how quiet we are compared to the VSC folks filed in August. I thought I will get some action going here...

    1) What's everyone and their SO doing - i.e., work, study, enjoying time off?

    2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied while playing the waiting game?

    3) What about shopping for the holidays?

    4) Any new hobbies?

    1. I'm working and the same time finishing my graduate studies. My Bebe Ko is busy thinking about making robotics (as hobby).

    2. My subjects in my graduates studies make me busy. My work makes me busy as well.

    3. I'm over stuffed this last few months, so I might not go shopping. Besides, no real bargain during holidays here.

    4. I love playing arcade as well as watching anime or cartoons.

What types of arcade games do you like? Have you seen the King of Kong? I thought that was a most excellent documentary ;)

Nope, I haven't seen the King of Kong. Is it funny? I have different kinds of games in my laptop, though I love strategy and time management games. I always have new one. :D Do you watch Naruto or any anime cartoons? I've been hanging around in crunchyroll to watch those animes.

  10. I was assigned in the power plant of the company where I am working right now. The job that was assigned to me before (2005) is new and mostly online activities. Most of the times, I am doing research and studying all the concept of the new aspect in industry. I'm not a fan of chatting before, but when I am complaining to my friends on how bored I am in my work and the people there were not nice to me (I have to be on my own most of the time), they taught me how to. So, I started chatting and visiting yahoo chatrooms in order to ease some boredom. I usually visited catholic chatroom and that's where I met my Bebe ko. We did chat almost everyday except weekend when I went home. It took us months to realize that we're starting to grow feelings for each other. Then else, are all history. ;)

:( I am not lucky as others here that their fiancé can go and see them many times. My Bebe ko (my fiancé) is a striving engineer like me. We need to spend wisely and think of our future ahead, so we need to do sacrifices. It is so damn hard that we're so far from each other right now. Like today, when I did my enrollment for my graduate studies, I feel so sad and missing him. Last year, we did it together and it was so fun. He got the chance to meet some of my professors. We ate in my favorite café near my school building, after the tiring enrollment.

Oh well, anyway, I am making myself so busy thats why I still enrolled for this semester. I only have one subject left till my thesis. ;)

  13. Once you are AOS approved, with SSN and EAD, you could go back to them and apply. No harm in trying.

Well, my only goal is to be with my Bebe ko, wherever he is. I am just thinking if it is possible that the person could acquire two petitions at the same time. It isn't really my concern (working visa), just trying to see some considerations. I got some offers for work in my fiance's place that is why I ask. But I want our K-1 petition pursue. I'll just cross my finger that the company will keep my resume. :P If not, then I'll just try my luck.

    Thank you for info.

Yeah. I am more excited to become wife. :P Also, I have another question. Can I enroll for school as transfer student while applying for AOS?

  14. The question here is what do you want? Do you want to move forward with fiancee visa or working visa? Given this two opportunities, which one has a bigger role in obtaining your personal goals/plans?

Working visa is faster as compared with fiancee visa. Data is from my officemates who transfered to U.S.

I was also given an opportunity to choose between fiancee or working visa. After analysis, my fiance and I made a decision to move forward with K1 visa.

I have some questions that some of VJ'ers maybe can answer. What if there's a company in US that will sponsor your working visa while you are on the process of fiance visa, what are the implications of this? How long does the working visa get approval? Is it okay that company will file working visa while the fiance visa is on the process?

    Thank you for sharing.

    What category of "working" visa?

H1B Visa... if I'm not mistaken...

  16. HI!

I was browsing the Philippine forum for September 2008 filers. I couldn't find any, and so I wonder if I could start this.

Hehehehe.... Gusto ko lang malaman kung marami ba akong kasabayan dito. At least may kasabay akong sa pag-aantay. Hay! Hirap mag-antay di ba? Buti yong mga iba, kayang pabalik-balik dito sa Pilipinas yong kanilang mapapangasawa or asawa. Yong Bebe ko kasi limited lang yong vacation leave sa work same as mine, at saka dapat tuwing sem break lang din kasi nag-aaral ako. Another consideration, we're saving for our wedding. Hahahaha..... di biro magpakasal dun.

Paramdam po yong mga kasabayan ko... :P

    :dance::whistle::bonk::lol::luv:
  17. I know how to speak Ilonggo but I am not fluent. But definitely, I will let my kids learn how to speak my native tongue. My fiance is learning how to speak Tagalog already as well as learning few words. He even suggested that our kids should learn how to speak our native tongue (he is half-Italian). Hahahaha.... I am trying to learn Italian language too. Ciao! :bonk:
