I fully support the OP. You have a RIGHT to be happy. It is your life. Yes, in marriage you have to compromise a lot but marriage is not supposed to be a struggle every minute of the day.
Before you make up your mind to finish it all, talk to him openly about how you feel and what do you expect from him. If that does not work, go for marriage counseling.
Don't ignore "I will kill myself" rant because he may soon switch to "I will kill you" if he feels you are not complying. He sounds way too desperate. First protect yourself and run as fast as you can.
