  1. UK Embassy in Kiev or in Great Britain?? Where do you have to contact?

There is no UK Embassy in UK.

The options are as far as I can see: UK Embassy in Kiev, US Embassy in London or directly to ARCO. If you go directly to ARCO, you can get a certificate within a week (there is an expedite option that speeds things up) but people have reported a lot longer wait as well (3-4 weeks). Then there is posting it to Ukraine. Personally, I would ask UK Embassy in Kiev for advice first.

    Good luck.

  2. Joe, the email should tell you which office the case has been transferred to. Or at least that was the case with both emails I received form them regarding the transfer. Although I'm starting to question if they know what they are doing at all. I received a paper copy as well as an email from them telling me that the case has been transferred. After the biometrics appointment, the online status changed to - case resumed at the office to which it has been transferred. Today, I'm back to square one - email arrived telling me they've transferred my case to CSC !!!:wacko: Hello, anybody at home?! :bonk: I just wonder what's next?!

But good luck with the transfer.

  3. Congrats to new bio appointments. Let's see more of them come through.

I just received another email from CRIS. Boy, do they drive me nuts or what!!! :bonk:

    The story goes:

1.) transfer notice sent on 26th August.

2.) online status updated on 1st September to say the case has been transferred to CSC.

3.) email from CRIS received stating the transfer.

4.) biometrics appointment on 2nd September.

5.) online status changed saying that the case processing has resumed.

    6.) touch on 3rd September.

7.) email from CRIS notifying the transfer to CSC (AGAIN????!!!).:wacko:

I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I seem to be going backwards. Maybe I should expect a letter for biometrics in the post again.

What can I say, I'm totally confused now.

    Anybody's having similar problems?

  4. My biometrics appointment was just so tedious. We had to wait about 20 minutes before our number was called but it took another 20 to have my fingerprints done. Apparently I have too many lines on my fingertips and the computer was getting muddled. She had to re-scan 8 fingers 4-5 times before a successful scan. OMG!!!!

But on the positive side, I had a touch after the appointment and today again. But that's just for I-485, nothing changed for EAD form. Oh well, now the waiting game begins all over again. :clock:

  5. We just got transfer notices to say our cases have been sent to CSC (dated 26th August), fingers crossed no interview for us!

YAY!!! Go girl !!!

HI everyone! i hope you are having a great day :)

thank you for sharing your updates.

I went to my biometrics appointment last thursday august 27 and i got an email today September 1st from CRIS stating my Current Status: Card production ordered.

On September 1, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. :o i thought it took 3 months! i need to start looking for a job!

when do i get advance parole?

Congrats!!! That is really fast but fantastic news really. So pleased for you.

As for AP, they usually deal with it at the same time. Maybe in you case they just didn't update the data. In any case, it shouldn't be long after the EAD.

It lools like you might get the green card before the advance parole so no need to worry about that you can travel on the green card that is great news, I just got up and am off to my bio appointment in half an hour

Shaz, I think it's the EAD card that's been ordered for production and not the GC. Although with USCIS, you never know. PinK ButTerfLy could tell us which one it is.
