  1. Hey MENA! Hows it hangin?! Things for us are fast and furious... I have one question, and would love it if someone could pass an answer my way... Hubby is here of course, and we are contemplating a trip abroad... We were looking at his greencard... and we/they ommitted one of his names. Does anyone know if his green card has to match names identically with his passport? His visa in his passport is still good until August- I think, and we were just wondering because his Soc. Sec. Card matches, and I'm worried that since he already got his GC with an error, if we try to travel anywhere with a misprinted/wrong gc, we might have issues coming back into the states? Any imput on disa-one? Thanks for your help! much love-Amy

  2. I have been looking for a small version of a watering can since hubby got here- we are renting currently, and so the bidet would not exactly work... we do have a longer moveable hose thinggy from the shower that would reach to the toilet no worries, but I think it scared him on his first attempt! I think I only know of once that he actually used it! As far as a water mess.... OH MY GOSH! yes yes yes! we have water all over the sink board, toilet seat, and floor from one end of the bathroom to the other.. good thing he's at work all day or I'm sure he'd be blaming the kiddos for the wet mess-- In any case, still searching out the mini watering can, using a large mug I brought home from the hospital when I had my first born!----Ohhhhh! by the way- not that i think the bathroom thread is the one to spread the news on .... probably is some kind of bad omen, but we are gonna be back in the hospital with a new arrival the end of November beginning of December!!! so much for waiting to get our feet under us again! lol!---Take care kiddos!Amy

  3. Happy Tuesday!

Hope it's a good day for everyone.

I feel sooo much better today. I have been under a huge amount of stress due to a job issue. All is good now and I am staying in my desk at my current job. I was being reqruited to a different store and tho it sounded like a good deal, something didn't feel right. I prayed for guidance in my decision. This has been eating at me for almost 3 months. Yesterday, I did what was best, and turned down the new offer.

Sooooooo I need to email Jordan now and see what they want. 2 visa specialists at DOS said that Amman is trying to contact Ibrahim.

    (F)

This is exceptional news Jackie! I hope it means the waiting is over and he'll be on his way very soon sweetie! Keep us posted for sure!

By the way Happy Tuesday MENA!!! I hope everyone's day gets better! My son has his 8th birthday today, and we're getting ready for pizza for dinner!YIPPIE--Mom doesn't have to cook!

Hubby has been working for about a month, and seems to like it so far,,, he made a friend, who drives him home from work daily. Its pretty cool! Not sure how long this job will last tho- he isn't making very much, but we all know getting a new job is easier when you already have one! We'll see how the drivers lisence thing goes. He's doing pretty good- drives EVERYWHERE we go these days... its pretty crazy at times! I guess all those years of observing other Jordanian nutty drivers rubbed off on him. We get to go pay his first speeding ticket to day when he gets off too!lol! Take care all! Much love!-Amy

  4. Bugs!!! YUCK!!! We have been seeing creapy crawleys regularly- my three year old is deathly afraid of "baby ants" (which includes the huge red ants that are stupid and slow!--they're smaller than her I guess that's what makes them "babies".

Another snowy morning here in Casper, WYoming! Hubby looked out the window and said, " I guess this means no tennis this weekend." He called mom in Jordan today(totally understand the "yelling arabic") and they are getting 100 degree temps already! Sure wish they could send us some of that warmth!

He's a lil disgruntled about the prices of things here- keeps saying "if I would have kown things were so expensive, I would have bought 10 in Jordan and bring them with me!" We can't seem to find his favorite deoderant-Nivea for men... and nothing here comes close in comparison. I looked at the bottle of the "wrong kind of Nivea" he brought with him, and saw it was made in Germany- I wonderif there is a way for me to order it direct from there?! YIKES thinking about shipping from Germany?! I'd rather go back to bed!

I also have a Birthday party to get going for next weekend- I have one turning 8 on Tuesday! Several 7-8 year olds around the house sure doesn't sound that tempting! What's a girl to do?! Love these babies!

Well all have a happy Sunday- and a great week! I'll catch you again when I get a free minute!--Love to all--Amy

  5. Im soo soo soo soo sick :( on top of whatever cold/flu/infection i have going Aunt Flo showed up today too...Uggh this is gonna be a delightful day....NOT!!

GOOOOOD MORNIN MENA!!!!!Thought I'd drop on by and say hello and catch up with all my gals-and charles of course! LOL! Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC Wednesday!

Aint it great being a girl! Hang in there hon-maybe you'll have a good day in spite of it all!

Where's Jackie? Whats the update on you girlie??? And everyone for that matter-GOSH! I really have been off the radar for a while huh?! Well fill me in kiddos! Talk with ya soon!-Amy

  6. Wow Charles! right around the corner huh?! Happy Sunday all! I've been so busy- I can hardly find time to get online these days! Only reason I made it today is because I told hubby I HAD to have the computer so I can work on the kiddos preschool scrapbooks! He reluctantly said "ok  " and I squeezed in a quick visit to check in with all my mena friends!

Lots has been going on in my absence it looks like! Found more groupies from the looks of it- that's GREAT! I'll try to catch up as I can with all the gossip... and hard work that's going on with everyone else!

hubby got his green card Friday-- it has an error- I called USCIS to find out what we had to do to fix it... they said print off form I-90 and fill it out... then send it witht he fees(if its our fault=UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS) and they will send a new card after the case has again been reviewed!---UGH! Well, we'll deal with it and manage thru it- at least he's here while we have this issue, and not worried that it is going to affect his immigration or slow things down anymore! Those days of worry are OVER!!!

Hey Jax! Hope you're still hangin in there! And to everyone else as well! Take care adn we'll be seein' ya!--Amy

  7. NVC got the last piece of info they need from us, the DS-230, on Friday. Of course they say the usual 2-4 week to process....and so far they have always been much faster than that....so I am praying for a case complete this week and I don't know if we are still in the window to have an April interview or not. NVC says they schedule the interviews the second week of the month. So does that mean we have to wait until the second week of April before they schedule our interview? :(( I hope it comes sooner than that!!! I'm going nuts!!

Unfortunately yes sweetie-- Our status was case complete on December 3rd, 2008 and that was the first week in Dec- I thought for sure we'd get a Jan Interview, but the 2nd week of Dec came and went and I called NVC like EVERY DAY! while they were scheduling... We didn't get an interview date set till the 2nd week in Jan, and then it was more than a month out... So good luck, but keep your chin up--- the journey is almost complete! A couple of months and your habibi will be with you forever! The arrival is the BEST part of this whole journey!--Talk to you soon-Amy

  13. Travis said today we are still in AP. That's ok.

Oh, hubby asked if I would like to see Syria when I fly out there. Do I? Can I get across their border?

You are a US citizen-- pretty much anyone will let you in! Just keep your passport on ya!
