  1. Hi,..I know!!!! my husband was given 221g too from USEM manila..but they didn't ask4 cenomar..they asked for I-864 and NBI again..

CENOMAR is Certificate of no Marriage both you and your spouse get before you marry each other.. I think others are not aware of this because they had a church wedding.. We had a Civil Wedding by a Judge and he required us to get a CENMAR before we could marry..this was 2007.

I think you have to submit the required additional docus ASAP... we are lucky to not get an AP or reinterview.. My husband had his interview march4 and he will submit the additional docus this week in USEM...YOu have to submit that ASAP..

Good lUck I hope we get our visas soon...

I got this form during my Interview last Feb. 25 and requesting me to submit a Cenomar/Cemar for a K3 visa. I dont have idea that that they would require this from me after they've seen my Marriage Cert. authenticated by the NSO. Anyway, I want to get any idea on how long they will re-process my papers or approve my visa after i submit my Cemar. Pls. advice...thanks.
  2. hI,.. i AM SORRRY about your situation...actually..my husband was given 221g too: PASS ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS... is that whayou got from 221g during your interview... I know what you mean..it's so painful that way..everything is so hard..after the happy expectations that being prepaired for the interview then you get the 221g...

me too, i feel right now that my family is not being supportive of this petition right now..don't fight with your wife right now..no body understand you both but only the two of you.. If you let your family get into your love life, you will really fight and argue.. I know its hard right now but we have to stay strong..

I thought all sort of stuff about my husband..blame my family for not being supportive of this..now that we are almost there..don't let them get to you..This is just a challenge.. everytime my family ask about my husband how is the process going about our petition..I just answer oh we still have to pass additional documents and whenever they ask me when is he going to get here: this gets in my nerves!!! I just say oh I think later few more months even if not...

I just say of course when he gets his visa he will get here..then I don't talk anymore..

Sometimes, its better to not share what is going on in your petition of how far are you with family..sorry I know that they wish me well but I also feel no..seems like they are more happy my husband is not here in the U.S. yet because I am able to help my siblings and help around expenses in the house.. I also lost my job before honestly because I was sooooo depressed because of this petition...

but I am on my feet now and have 2jobs... My advice to wife is not to let this get into her especially me, I worry about my husband almost everyday... I know you can still work this out... When you guys talk together just don't share with family..remember marriage is just between you too... It is your happiness not theirs.. It would be selfish of them to say that you guys can't work this out and they don't like her anymore..

Hang in there: We Will get our visa Soon!!!!!

I feel so bad for my situtaion....my marriage is on verge of divorce....cuz of the embassy people..My interview went fine and at the end they issued me 221g requesting documents...i submitted them..,and its been over 2 weeks no news frm them..

well me and my wife fight everyday on phone cuz its been 1.5 years of marriage and we hardly spent 3 months together. and plus she lost her job because of recession, ....I tried to call her to india..but my parents are against from our marriage cuz my wife is WHITE., she is white american....but i love her and she loves me too...well, I am goin through a lot and i dont know on what basis they issued me 221g....well im soo depressed..and frustated....

i think 221g is favourite for new delhi embassy....:crying:

I feel Like i lost everything..-------------No hopes----------- :crying:

    dont knw wat to do>??

  3. Thank yOu ParisHeart...Good luck in your journey...

Its just the opposite of what I felt before, I was so happy and upbeat when he had his interview.. and I was still upbeat even though he got a white slip (221g) they asked for additional documents... And he will be going tomorrow to USEM to pass the additional documents then we will see from there wait for his visa hopefully...

    Hi,

just want to share to everyone how I am having a hard time about this petition.. every single day I wake up not seeing my husband beside me,.Just want everyone to know, I haven't seen him for 9months now.. It just saddens me very much... I have been here summer, Fall, Winter, and now it is upcoming Spring.... I know, we are almost there, my husband already finished his interview and he was given the 221g white slip.. It's so hard to wait... I hope he will get his visa soon..

Here is the scope: My brother petitioned his fiance and used my parents as co-sponsors but they didn't look for that during her interview they asked for my bother's affidavit instead and his job was above the poverty line. Both are living with us in the same household.

My aunt and uncle got here through working visa and using the same address but I have no idea if they used my parents as co-sponsors I don't know but they use the address here at home.

Now, there are 10 people living in our household right now.. Which is what kept me thinking why are they asking for Affidavit of Support again after the interview..I know we already passed that in NVC...

I am sooo upset right now!!!!

Im so sorry your upset. We will all prey he gets the visa soon. Soon this difficult time will pass, and happy times ahead of you and him.

  5. hi,

I'm sorry to hear that,.I am sure you will be getting it soon... hang in there..huh''i know the waiting is so crappy..

I'm just wondering, after you had your interview, were you put on AP list?or 221g-pass additional documents?

    Thanks for sharing..

    hello folks,

my fiancee's interview was on feb2 ,, each time i call they reply still under review,,,soon you should have a reply ... has anyone else gone thru this

as well ... i've been told that the visa will be approved since they havent reached a quick decision, but we dont know to believe this.can anyone give any advice... being limbo sucks... also if the visa is not approved we're thinking of filing a k-3 ...is this a viable option ?

    Will

  6. hum,, correction there...sorry if others get offended..but, women from the philippines especially 18-19 age range would marry a foreigner money...I mean why dont she just marry someone from there when she can go abroad...get it... That is why you should get a woman who is in her 20's..you said filipina girls do look alot younger there than what their real age is... If you really want a filipina woman, you should find a preety one who is educated like you..of course a pretty one... There are lot's of woman there who are educated... don't just get someone from a bar...aheheheheh...sorry if others are offended... there are lots of women there who are professional and knows how to have fun at the same time.....

    good luck...!!!!

He doesn't want someone who is overweight but he wants women to look past weight when making a decision about his friend? Uh huh.

I noticed that one...so she has to keep fit and trim while he can let himself go? HUGE double standard!

Steve, have you perhaps thought as well that if you married a foreign woman that she would change after living her for a while and being exposed to our culture? Do you not think that maybe she would like things like new appliances, shoes and clothing? I think the second thing that bothers OP here is that you are totally and absolutely unrealistic about women in general! Yeah you can go on match.com and find women who have certain income level expectations but you can also turn it the other way around and I betchya that most of the men have certain expectations regarding women's looks/weight as well. It's a two way street bro, and finding the right person for you isn't as easy as finding the first girl on the match.com pages.

Yes, Im perfectly fine if she gains weight AFTER we marry. Ill fall in love with her even more and we'll be closer so it wont really matter. BUt at least let me have some sexual/physical attraction at the beginning huh??? Geesh.

And generally, from what I have read over the years with guys who have married filipinas here, the filipinas generally do not change much. They stay humble and non materilistic. I dont see what you are suggesting happening. It coudl, yes, but not likely. If it does, so be it. She'll be just like every other American lady, or like most I mean.(dont want to say all are that way)

And I agree, just as I have physical expectations of needing a think woman so I can feel sexually attracted to her, perhaps these american ladies need MONEY attraction in us men in order to find us attractive . Fine, we're equal. So, therefore, I choose to go out of the US to find woman who dont use money as a prerequisite for love. By the same token, American woman can do the same by going o ut of the USA to find men who dont care about their overweightness right? I wouldnt blame them if they chose to do that. :) So what up?

  7. Hi,..you can really find someone at your age range..let's say she is in her 20's.. most women from the philippines know how to serve their man, meaning cooking..all that wifey stuff.. I am a filipino-american woman so, I don't really know most of those stuff..plus the family ties there are important so, no worrying about divorce...because you picked women that are 19year olds, hum, they really won't take you seriously..I believe the marriage there is 20's and above..those girls just used you...I know its sad.. but I am sure there is someone out there or here in america for you...I know, it's just so strange why most people find their mate from another country.. I guess we are just afraid of overworking, and stress factor in america...

    Good luck on your search...

I've noticed alot of discussion regarding filing a second K1 visa within two years of the first, and how the US CIS mistakes "beneficiary" for "petition". What I'm curious about is the two per lifetime K1 visa sponsorship limit. It seems that the wavier for that should only be granted if a previous beneficiary dies (or a female is abused by a previous beneficiary), at least, that's the impression i get reading the forms & internal memo. I've read the GAO report that states most K1 waivers are granted, but that's for the two-year rule if I'm reading it correctly. Is there any information regarding someone who's actually willing to risk a third round of Russian Roulette? I mean, even felons get three strikes, we get only two?

Mind you, this is purely of intellectual interest to me. I have no intention of going down the aisle again, regardless of her citizenship. ;)

I had my 3rd approved and it was within 2 years of the 2nd approval. The first 2 girls had backed out on me and never made it here to the US (they were 19 yrs old and this had most to do with it). This time it was me who backed out on this 3rd one, and she went back to the Philippines. Im still hoping to find a filipina wife cause I just cant meet the kind of woman I want here. So I may be looking for my 4th petition some day, perhpas sooner than later. Im just havent been ready to give my search any effort yet. Maybe Ill be the first 4th petition IMBRA test case here. If so, Ill be sure to let everyone know how it goes. If I could only find a 30 to 36 yr old woman in the states who isnt overweight, carrying baggage from previous marriages, and who doesnt care how much money I make, then I just might not need to look overseas for marriage.

  8. She will get the regular NBI (means overall from the Philippines) and she will get the Police Clearance (from Mindanao) meaning her province Police clearance. :)

    Please tell me if my assumption is correct;

For the Philippines only NBI clearance is needed....correct?

Police Certificate are needed if lived/worked more than one year outside the Philippines... correct?

:bonk:(this is going to be our killer delay....i have been fighting on this one for more then 3 months with the Idiots on the Philippines police stations in Mindanao province, they gave my fiance so much trouble with just having fingerprints taken to be sent to Baharain, which may not be ready for time of INTERVIEW.....I am so mad!!!!)

    I. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

    7. NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI web site is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

    8. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for one (1) year or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s web site at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciproc...ocity_3272.html.

    This may help!

Here is where we messed up, she had worked in Bahrain and they wanted a police background clearance from Bahrain CID, this took until September, it was a disaster, we had just had a child and she couldn't get the clearance, I called CID we sent them requests, and got nothing. We finally contacted the Philippine embassy in Bahrain, and they fixed it.

  9. That is correct.. you will need to Get NBI clearance and Police Certificate from the country-or province you lived in about a year..for example you get an NBI from Manila and a Police Clearance in Cebu...

    Please tell me if my assumption is correct;

For the Philippines only NBI clearance is needed....correct?

Police Certificate are needed if lived/worked more than one year outside the Philippines... correct?

  11. hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has knowledge on how to redeem your worldperks miles on Visa card? I am trying to order ticket online..

I would like to use it to buy ticket for northwest airlines..

    From:manila To:Washington Dulles

I see in their site that you have to have 20,000 miles + $578 to get the ticket..

Can I use all the miles on my worldperks and not pay at all just the tax?

    I have no clue???

  12. Congratulations!!!! finally na receive mo narin... God bless... :)

I can't even describe my feelings when I had my visa. This is it!! I am leaving. My flight will be on the 31st and my husband will come to pick me up so that we can go home together .

Thank you for the encouragement, suggestions and advices that you VJ members have shared . This is not the end of the journey. I wish those who have been interviewed will have thier visa soon while those who are under AP will have a positive result on thier petition. It's a long journey but we need to have patience and perseverance.

  16. aheheheheheheheheh....your sooooo funny..:)) :)) :)) you are in state of denial.. yup..I know how it feels..going through this journey..I hated everyone around me, even my family, I was always grouchy, I forgot to smile..

I was tired of that stage..when there were times about our petition was not what I expected it to be.. I just laughed and laughed.. I couldn't take it anymore.. I didn't want to think about the petition at all...

but we are almost there.. be patient.. you have to stay strong..

    CHILDRESS_LONDON:

Thank you for understanding.....and NOT ARGUING with me...yeah,I know this is an OPEN FORUM, state what you feel...but why do people think that I am arguing with them? I'm not.....Yes I DO envy the people who got their visas..kindly read my post again..tell/show me if i write something that I don't like reading their posts? or i am having a crab mentality? I am happy for them..I am just stating my own opinion here.

VJ is a FAMILY?!(i dont think so...) maybe for some who understands. FAMILY stays together thru bad and good times, FAMILY dont leave your side when you're down and depressed...they even calm you down....

Please read my post VERY CAREFULLY before reacting so very mean thiings about me....you dont know what I feel coz you dont care......

FYI...i read other people's post about their visa and im happy for them...AGAIN AGAIIN AGAIN......i am just having my opinion. if i have to writte down over and over again....to let you people know what im trying to point out....I WILL!!!!

  17. Disturbia....nananannananannanananananaana :)) :)) :)) :))

can't wait for our turn.. :) pray for us guys.. I hope I get congratulations too :)

I AM HAPPY TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO'S VISA WAS GRANTED! (and envy them as well.....) and I am not against those people posting that their Visa was granted, that they recieved good news with their visa process.....

BUT....will it be better if you can just post topics that can help other people who are waiting and almost hopeless people waiting for their visas? or other topic that can be useful while waiting for the visa? (example: What are things you need to know? to prepare? to expect?..blah..blah!)

I know we are all happy for you...but will it make us feel better? I don't think so....coz as for my part it would make me feel more desperate to be with the Love of my Life...coz majority of the topic is "finally, received my visa", "have an interview schedule",blah blah....but what do they respond to them..."Congratulations!" that's it!

Again,I'm just stating what i feel....hate me..i dont care.....but can we just be more helpful and useful here to others who are desperately waiting for their visa approvals?

  18. hi,

nope, haven't gotten the visa yet..my husband still has to pass the additional requirements he was given the 221g.. he will pass those on March 18th.. so that will be the countdown on waiting for his visa.. I hope you get yours soon..

    Good luck...Malapit na..:)

    hi,

I am just wondering how long do they deliver visa if say I am living in pangasinan? can we pick it up at any Air21branches?

hi how are you? did u get you visa already? i been intervied last March 6 but i don't get my visa yet.. did u get your's already?

  19. Hi,

I am sorry to hear about this..but it will be alright.. you know,.I was laid off too a couple of months ago..but now I am on my feet again..I got 2JOBS now and my husband's interview went well,.they asked for another I-864..although I got co-sponsors so it doesn't really matter.. as long as she has everything with her on her interview..including your tax return for 2008 and w-2's it will be ok..

Don't let this get into you too much..you have to stand up..look for another job..because you know your wife is depending on you to be strong..

I know how stressful it is.. I sure wish this will be over..Good lUck..

:( i just got laid off today from my job and my fiancees interview is on april 20.

    What am i going to do now?Do i need to make a new i-134?if i get a co-sponsor

will they still accept it?do you think the usem will call my work to verify if i still work there?

I dont know what to do right now.i need some advice.
