  1. We messed up question 22 also.

I'm not completely sure what we answered there, but because we failed, CSC never send our papers to NVC after the approval. We had to file An I-824 to get it forwarded. We filed in January and never heard back of them. I hope they will do anything soon, because I'm sick of waiting any longer.

So I Guess worst case would be for you that you approved I130 doesn't get forwarded and you have to file an I924 and pay the fee for having them "release" and sent to NVC.

I hope the best for you!

are you sure that's the only reason your case wasn't forwarded to NVC?

Well I wouldn't know why else they would not send it to NVC. It got approved and they said if we want them to have it sent to NVC we have to file an I824

  3. Did any of you recently have to file for I824 to have CSC sent the approved I130 to NVC?

I guess we made a mistake on our I130 since we only filed for Cr1.

My question is, is the estimated waiting time for approval of the I824 really 6 month or did any of you expirience a faster processing? Would love to get any information about I824 from you as possible!

Thank you all sooooo much :luv:

If you filed only the I-130, it will be sent to NVC after approval. There would be no need to file the I-824. Why have you posted in the K3 forum instead of IR1/CR1 forum? Did you also file an I-129F for a K3 visa?

pushbrk - i think Dini has incorrectly answered question 22 on I-130 where she has indicated that the intending immigrant is in the united states (when in reality they are not) and will adjust status. thats what i gathered from her previous posts. am i correct Dini?

Ja you are correct. I think we answered wrong. Our approval notice from the I130 says we need to file I824 to have CSC sent our I130 to NVC.A congressman couldn't help us any, so we ave to file it. We never filed for a I129.

  4. I'm glad to see you guys moving forward fast ! :) I'm happy for you! :) I hope all of you can be with your loved ones again soon! :)

dini - whats new with your case?

Nothing new. My husband sent out a letter to his congressman office asking for help on our case ( we were asked to file I824 to have our case sent to NVC and we're both not sure if it's our fault, duh!) We hope they can help us somehow.

I love watching you guys getting all excited. :) It's so good to know your're going to be with your SO soon :) I'm very happy for you :)

  5. guess we made a mistake at the I 130.. we have to file i 824.. another 6 month of waiting. this kills me. i just want to quit.

i dont understand...form I-824 is not meant to correct mistakes. if there is an error in approval on part of USCIS, you have the right to request expedite processing...you are missing details here..please share details so we can help...quiting is not going to help..you have to find a solution to the problem...it should not take 6 months...i highly doubt it...unless your case is in AP at NVC then it may take a few weeks not months...thanks!

Well from what I read on the forums here is ,that we might have answered something about question number 22 wrong and this is why they keep our approved I 130 at uscis till we sent the I 824 and money to reqest them sending our I130 to NVC. I tried calling them and asking about it but I can't even get a someone on the phone. I was hoping i could tell them our mistakes and they'd say, "ok, we'll just sent it to NVC". Te timelines say that the processing time is 6 months for sent I 824. Another 6 month of wasted life and waiting. Sorry but thats all I know.

i am soo sorry!!! hopefully they will be able to clear it up faster, it would be horrible if you had to wait another 6 months!!!

Thank you. I guess it's our own fault for not answering their questions right. I hope it wont take 6 months but for now the processing time says so.

how did you answer question 22? if USCIS approved your petition without making sure the guidlines for the NVC then its their fault. if you put in that your spouse is in the country (when they are not) and will adjust status then it is your fault and you will have to file I-824. regardless, call your congressman and ask for assistance. good luck!

LingLing - DS3032 hasnt been generated yet for me...when do you think it will happen? my case is moving awefully slow :( i am going to india next month and want to be done with NVC before i leave.

1 to 2 weeks is normal. Just keep calling everyday...once in the morning, once in the evening.

As soon as you hear that it's been generated, you can send your response letter with COA.

I believe you have everything else ready to go...right?

For India, I believe the PCC must have been issued within 6 months.

I have everything ready. the PCC is valid for one year from the date of issue and must be valid on the date of the interview. i verified this both on mumbai consulate website and delhi embassy website.

LingLing - can you please update your guide section 11 b with the photo requirement to be sent to NVC. i dont see it there. you also mentioned that there are two photos required for the medical. not sure why it is part of your guide. can you please let me know if u put that on there on purpose? thanks!

    Good catch CMNB.

For some reason, I can't get to ANY .gov sites

I think it has to do with my "hot-wired" cable modem. I'm getting like 26mb down...but that's another story.

Anyway, CMNB, feel free to update the Wiki as needed.

As for pix for the medical...my understanding is THAT'S how they can know that the doctor examined the correct person.

ya but my wife doesnt have to submit the medical pics with the DS-230? or does she? thats what i am confused about.

i don't think my husband will contact anyone. I guess we'll just pay for the mistake. I don't know how we answered the question...

  6. guess we made a mistake at the I 130.. we have to file i 824.. another 6 month of waiting. this kills me. i just want to quit.

Sorry about your delay. Is it possible it might be cleared up sooner? Good luck.

i have no idea.. i tried calling uscis but i cant get through to talk to an operator. but i guess it wouldnt have much effect anyways..i just cant do this anymore...i just want it to stop :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Just take a deep breath - you have come so far already. I know it is hard when you think you are finally getting to the end of this madness but you will eventually get there. Just hang in - get through today, then tomorrow. Just one day at a time. Everyone here on VJ feels your frustration and has at some point thought about just giving up. We are all here for you. (F)

Thank you. i already lived day by day and it makes me frustrated. I just want to start life already. I've waited for over 3 years (My husband was in the Army, and then being apart for waiting on approval) I'm just so tired of it.

  10. finally sent off our AOS and DS-230 today

they should have it Monday - then if all is good - hopefully be approved in the next week :)

Congratulations on moving fast! I wish you all the best! :)

Thanks! how is your progress going?

nothing is going. my husband didn't do anything so far and i guess he waits for everything to arrive by mail. he has all the time in the world. I don't. :crying:

    sorry to hear that :(

I had to get after my husband at first to get some of his paper work together - only to have ME hold it up a bit waiting for my birth certificate =p

I think even if you wait for the hard copies it should only be 2 months, not as long as the VSC that's for sure!!!

    good luck to you :)

Ja, if it would take another 8 month i'd make him move to Germany!

I already finished and sent off all my paperwork and copies, translations, certificates to him. He only needs to put a date on it and sent it when they're requested. We'll see how long it'll take.. The AVR still says no record though..

  13. Still waiting for marriage certificate and thus, can't really process anything yet but I am going to see Mr. LGG tomorrow for a couple of weeks.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say Merry Holidays to everyone and to thank you for all the help that you've given us so far -- seriously, if it weren't for this site and people willing to answer questions this would be a way harder task to accomplish.

    Happy Holidays.

    LGG.

Merry Christmas to you as well! I hope your journey goes smooth. Glad to hear you can spend the holidays with your Mr ;)
