Just received email that card production has been ordered today (2/3/12). Have not received card yet. I applied to CSC but moved to NY in Nov. Did a change of address. Not sure if this approval is coming from CSC or VSC. Heck it is done..

Hey buddy. I have the same question. Getting ready to send mine off in a few weeks. So what did you do?
Hey Karri. Good to see you back here. Long time. How have you been. I ended up using the USPS 2 day priority mail service with delivery/signature confirmation. Wasn't bad. Sent it off on a Saturday and I think it got there on Monday. Have my NOA1 and bio was scheduled for early Oct but we did an early walk-in bio a few days after we got the bio letter.
Remember Dilbert30? Well, his process is already complete.
Good luck to you. I sent mine to CSC which seems to be taking less time than VSC.

My wife's bio is scheduled for early Oct. However, we may be out of town that day. I am debating taking the bio notice with me and going in for an early walk in bio. Anyone have any luck in Cincinnati, Ohio ? Do they ask for a reason why you want an early bio or just do it if you show up and wait in line?
Any thoughts/ideas will be appreciated. Thanks
FYI..I just walked-in today and got my early bio done. No issues.

Dear VJers:
So, I went to drop off my entire I-751 package at the Fedex office after work and they said they could not deliver to a PO Box. I can't find a street address so I can use Fedex.
I am sure others faced the same issue. Is there a street address available to mail your I-751 ROC package if you are sending your file to CSC or I have to use the US Post Office? Please Help !!!

Thanks Hotshot. I am going to send it to CSC as Ohio (my present address for past 1.5 years) falls under CSC. My question, however is since I want to use a different mailing/permanent (family) address in NC (as I may move out of Ohio), do I HAVE to send my wife's petition to VSC (based on the mailing address)?
Will they schedule my biometrics appointment in Ohio or NC? Wondering if that is based on mailing address or current address?
Any one else have an input please? I am getting ready to send my ROC petition and have most everything ready to go.

Can I put my mailing address (in NC) alongwith my current address in Ohio on the I-751 for ROC. It is likely that I will move before we get our 10 year green card. I don't know when/where. I do have a permanent family address in NC (that I have used for my wife's initial green card processing, so it is in the the USCIS system).
Ohio falls under CSC but NC under VSC. Since my current address for the past 1.5 years has been Ohio, I am using my Ohio address and mailing to CSC. Would putting the mailing address in NC (under VSC) mean that I should send to VSC?

AR-11 for immigrant filed online. Confirmation online, print it out - nothing will come in the mail.
I-865 filed for you as the sponsor (have to mail this in, will get a confirmation letter).
Use new address on the I-751.
Thanks Milimelo and rahulv. The 865 asks effective date of address change. It was a over a year ago. Is that going to create a problem ? Anyone have any experience with that.

Dear VJers:
My wife and I moved about a year ago and I have not done my change of address yet. I am getting ready to file for removal of conditions in a couple of weeks, should I do it now or just put my new address in my petition.
Any issues if I don't do it and just put my new address on the I-751? (I got a notice to renew my wife's GC at my old address)
Also, does the change of address have to be put in for both the USC and the beneficiary? separately?

Unless the AOS has been grated, they are not eligible since they don't have a permanent resident Status yet. Any other form of process would fall in the same category because, until USCIS gives them the clean chit, they are all in the same basket. Try avoiding
any grey areas.

Well,
I don't see why the people submitting letters to support your case would have to mention their SSN's. But they have to write their Full name, Contact Numbers and Addresses.
And it goes without saying that the person testifying has to be a legal resident or a Citizen. You don't expect USCIS to accept any documents from illegal aliens, or tourists. Somebody needs to be accountable in case of false testimony and the ones with legal status will bear the brunt too, for lying,

Thanks Saspk. Understand the point about illegal aliens. Makes sense. But, there are other forms of LEGAL residency besides US citizenship and permanent residency. There are folks that are going through their adjustment of status through their employer or otherwise. They are not illegal aliens or tourists per se. Besides, as I mentioned, form I-751 does not state that the person testifying the has to be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Anyone else have an opinion or experience that they can share? Thanks

The I-751 form does not mention anywhere about putting
1)SSN of friends attesting the marital relationship or
2)that they have to be US citizens or permanent residents.
Just says that they need to put their name and date/place of birth...
The form examples I see on the VJ site mention that. Is it required to put SSN on the letters and 2)do they have to be US citizens or green card holders?

I am getting ready to file for removal of my wife's conditional greencard next month, who came to theUS on a K1 visa. My question is we plan to travel later this year outside the US. What documents do I need to be able to travel while the I-751 is in process. It is possible my petition will still be in process.
On a related note, my wife's driving license will expire on the two year anniversary date as well. Can I have that extended while my wife's I-751 is in process/what documents do I need for that.

Out interview experience:
On the day of the interview we carried some pictures as well as joint bank statements and credit cards. I had also added her to my medical insurance at work, so carried a copy of it. That's all. The rest of the docs we had were from K1.
When we went there, they made us go thro' security and directed us to go to the designated waiting area. We waited there for about 45 minutes, when a pleasant looking immigration officer came and greeted us. She asked us some basic questions regarding our DOBs as well as where my wife lived and the phone number. That's all...Then she said that we have been approved...and we should expect the card in 3 weeks...Got it in second week itself. Thanks.
Congratulations !!!! Way to go, dude. Happy for you both. As for me, we just have our EAD/AP docs. No word on the GC front. Case was transferred to CSC in early July. Never really got a note about it, just an update on the USCIS site. Been almost 3 mos since the CSC transfer. Wonder what is going on ?
Karri/Sam - have you guys heard anything from USCIS or CSC? Did you get a note in the mail about the transfer by the way ?

We got our biometrics done on 7/18 with a walk in...
How do u know when the case gets transfered to CA?
I got an email from the USCIS on my case tracking as well as a notice in the mail. Apparently if they transfer your case to CSC then chances are you don't need an interview. I am lucky but it's not definate yet. Yes, that does sound like your interview. If it goes well then she gets her greencard a few weeks after I think.
I got an email from CRIS that my case was transferred to CSC on July 8. Apparently, they mailed me a notice to that effect but I am yet to see something pop up in my mail.
EAD/AP Update - Approved on Aug 5 (update on USCIS website). EAD card production ordered on 8/5. Hopefully, I will have both in hand soon.
Next Steps - change wife's name on SSN to her married name (need EAD card for that). Next, take EAD/other docs to DMV and apply for Learner's permit.
Any update on your front guys ?

Just to keep you guys posted.
Our biometrics was yesterday. We got that done without a hitch. It was a slow day and just one person ahead of us. We were out of there in 15 mins.
Other update... my AOS got transferred to CSC on July 8. Have not received a notice in the mail yet, but do have that message on the USCIS website.
EAD - my EAD app was touched yesterday. So, I am assuming they are working on that now and I should get the EAD card very soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Next Steps... After I get the EAD card, I plan to get my wife's SSN in her married name (I couldn't as the I-94 had expired). Also, need the SSN in her married name before I can get the Learner's permit.
Wonder if I said we don't have an SSN yet and just show the PP, marriage cert and EAD card in married name, since they won't accept the SSN in her maiden name but EAD in married name. Arrghgh!!!!

Thanks all for your responses. I have not gotten anything in the mail yet as the online status/email alert came a couple of days ago. Hopefully, it will be CSC and no interview so no prep with the paperwork and all..

Got a case status update from USCIS (cut and pasted below). Not sure if I completely understand what it means. Says it is pending at the office to which it was transferred.. Which office was it transferred to ? The local USCIS office ?
Is this good news or bad news?
Can anyone help me understand the implications of this on my case. Does this mean I don't need to go in for the AOS interview. My biometrics appt. is by the end of this week..

That is strange that it was canceled. Our biometrics appointment is on July 17.
Moksha - looks like your EAD/Adv Parole got approved in 42/43 days. That is really fast. Hopefully, I will hear something by end of July/early August.
Hey guys - did you guys get a driving license/state id yet ? Name change on SSN card ? I understand for license they will check your I-94 and if expired then you have to wait till you get your green card..a bit surprised by that. I need to go find out and talk to someone. What if the permanent residency takes a little while. Wondering if the EAD card will help.
Any thoughts there guys...

Update - I finished filling out the last of the forms, whew! I started to organize everything, this is what I came up with so far for my cover letter. I'll be using one of those special folders again like I did for the I-129F that has the two holes on the top, 6 sections. *Please Note*, I'll have a separate cover letter for the affidavit of support section for more detailed contents description.

FYI....my approval came from CSC. Got the card on 2/10.
