  1. Hello All

Me and my Wife got the Immigrant Visa and now we are getting ready to move to the US in March 2009. Currently we are in Pakistan.

I have only one problem. HOW? WHAT? WHERE? :):):):)

what do you guys suggest i should do?

Where should we go as i will be new in US and dont know many people over there. Which City as my parent company is in New York but i have the flexibility to stay anywhere and with New York so expensive i might think of Not going there atleast in the begenning.

Please tell me what to do here?

    never pick new york,

its filthy and expensive and it smells and has trash all over the place.

    pick suburbs in any state

  2. Dusk

    above the

    water hang the

    loud

    flies

    Here

    O so

    gray

    then

what A pale signal will appear

when Soon before its shadow fades

where Here in this pool of opened eye

in us No upon us As at the very edges

of where we take shape in the dark air

This object bares its image awakening

    ripples of recognition that will

    brush darkness up into light

even after this bird this hour both drift byatop the perfect

sad instant now already passing out of sight

    toward yet-untroubled reflection

this image bares its object darkening

into memorial shades scattered bits of

light No of water Or something across

water Breaking up no being regathered

soon Yet by then a swan will have

gone yes out of mind into what

    vast

    pale

    hush

    of a

    place

    past

    sudden dark as

    if a swan

    sang

  4. Hello all, Thank you ahead of time for your advice on this matter. I will be filing for a k3 visa in january. my wife is from hermosillo mexico. she had her laser visa taken away for 6months due to some paperwork issues during her last filing. she filed for a new laser visa when her daughter turned 15 years old. supposedly, she filed false employment verification for her job in mexico. the immigration officer promptly rejected her application and penalized her 6 months until reapplication.8 months have passed since then, we will be getting married jan 17th and will be filing for the k3 the 18th, will the rejection for the lazer visa be a problem? if so, do I need to request a pardon or? please help me get over this minor bump in the visa journey.

a lawyer would suit your situation best

  5. A tourist visa and a K visa are two different things. My husband was denied a tourist visa last year because the consul felt that he was more qualified for an immigrant visa. So we applied a couple of months after the denial via DCF. And now my hubby is the US with me on an IR-1 visa. :star: During his interview he was asked about the denial for teh tourist visa he applied for once. Then the consul just asked him why and then that was it. They were more concerned with the documents pertaining to our application for the IR-1 visa. Good luck!

    no

  6. i would say contact DOS

and ask them whats the status of ur husbands case. dont wory its standard procedure , so its a matter of time. my husband just got doe with AP! just be patient and keep praying

they will usually say currently under admin. processing. just ask them how long to expect. they usualy say 4-6 months.

Sure, you can do that. What's the point. That IS what they'll say, no matter when you call or what you ask regarding AP. It's a black hole.

its a black hold but there is light at the end of the tunnel. and you should call for your own satisfaction. iff you were in the same situation you would do the same.

    After six months I would.

well the lawyer said she would contact for the exact reason.

  7. At the conclusion of my husbands interview the CO gave my husband back both my and my mothers affidavit of support papers? Do they normally do that?

And does anyone know what they check for on Administrative processing? Do they check credit history or just background check?

Unless things are different in Pakistan it's NOT normal to give back AOSs. Definitely NOT a good sign. He should have got a 221g or some kind of explanation if denied or on AP.

well we got a blue paper

but it doesn't say 221g on it anywhere, no document number

just lists our cases # and says admin processing, but no 221 g on the paper so I have no idea!

  8. They took his passport.. That is great news. Not guaranteed news, but encouraging. Means from the interviewer's perspective everything is legitimate.

AP is common in your country. just a term that means they have some more paper work to do, extra background checks, and possibly documentation verification.

4-6 weeks is what they typically say to not alarm the person in their presence. Interviewer feels not obligation to the beneficiary. It is typically 4-6 months but can last up to over a year. Please ad your name to the AP tracker. This also has other people who are on AP for support and additional information. Please click the link below to visit this forum. AP Tracker

It can be very discouraging to hear this news but it is a fact of the process that more people need to acknowledge.

Okay so my husband just had his interview, the immigration officer said everything was fine, all our documents were in order and we had more than enough evidence. Then she gave him a piece of paper that said administrative processing and also said it takes 4-6 weeks, and handed him back his passport and said he can send it in when he receives further notice from the embassy. Then he told the officer that he needs to be in the USA with his wife and newborn baby, and she asked him if he will be traveling soon, which his reply was no, so she kept his passport and still said everything looks fine. Is it a good sign that the immigration officer kept his passport????

I guess its a hint that I should start planning my life differently now.

I hate hate hate these people with a passion they have totally deprived my daughter from seeing who her father is and now they have deprived me of a husband. Terrible people with ho hearts or compassion!
