The transfer between different field offices could be interpreted as "transfer between different departments" within the field office. During my interview, IO mentioned to me that they will have to wait for the oath scheduling department to put together so many candidates before the oath letter will be sent out or so. Based on this understanding I would think that your file was accessed by multiple internal departments that work towards oath ceremony.

 

So in a nutshell you should just wait for your letter to come to you. Enjoy your citizenship!

If you haven't received an oath notification or there are no changes in notifications by the 30th day, just call USCIS  and ask them about your case. My N400 went from "Approved" to "attended interview" (egov shows the oath ceremony will be scheduled)

My I751 on the other hand went from "we received your RFE" to "we received your initial application" and is still stuck on that (egov shows your card has been delivered and I have the card).

Nope nothing pending. Hope we get the Oath notices soon.

My wife got her  18 months extension letter but still haven't got her bio-metrics letter. She has to travel abroad for good 4 months due to some family emergency.

What if she get her bio-metrics letter in her absence? Is there anyway we can reschedule her biometric appointment OR phone request to USCIS for early Biometrics? Can she do her biometrics in US embassy abroad?

She is April filer I-751 CSC.

It's 2 and half months but still wifes status shows AP , she got 4 updates in March the last one was on the 18 March . Does anyone has idea what's going on why it's taking that long for background checks.. totally lost.

Hi everyone my wife had interview on 31st March at US embassy Islamabad. She is afghan citizen. After fingerprint they asked her for nikah Nama and brith certificate. And she was given a forum to fill out like her name phone number and my name and phone number then there was option what social media app you use to stay n touch with your husband. She selected whatsapp and viber and next question was user name. After that she was called for interview. The officer told that paper.And asked the following questions.

Who is calling you to US?

When he went there?

Who sponsored him to US?

Where does he live?

When you got married?

When was the last time you saw your husband?

Arrange marriage or love?

Who arranged it?

Do you have any children?

Do you have Facebook?

Does your husband have Facebook?

How you contact your husband?

After that the officer told her interview is over and it was good and we will search more on it and inform you in 3 weeks and was given A white paper saying Your case require additional administrative processing bla bla. The officer didn't check the updated tax transcripts or any other documents and return all the other documents which was submitted to NVC and the officer kept her passport. Any suggestion how long it will take for visa to get issued?

Dear brother , I'm sorry to heard about your wife's AP but that's the norm now in islamabad, guys taking longer but females gets cleared in a month time , my wife's interview was on 21jan but still it's in AP though majority of females get their visa issued in4-5 weeks time , hope your wife get her visa issued soon, keep track in the ceac status updates it will gives a clear progress on the case n please do update about the case , there is a thread for wifes AP " administrative processing for my wife " you can join the tread , all the best.

You are so right Aryan no one in this world knows when we will get issued no matter how many updates you get. Just keep praying inshaAllah one day we will all be out of this hard time. Idk what they are upto my wife she is just 20 years old , no history of travels n first time had her passport after marriage. I'm a physician here n doing great . The only thing I can think of the delay is might be my divorce n remarriage but if that's the case didn't they already worked it out at the uscis and then at the NVC stage . Do you guys think they still do background checks of petitioner or it's just the beneficiary at this stage?

Today i got another status update (3rd), does any body knows how many updates are expected before issuing a visa?
