one is tempted to ask, "why in the world would the U.S.A. want another one of these within its borders??" All of the circumstances, no matter what the medical cause, suggest the instability and criminal instincts are pretty deep-rooted.

best to get your bank account changed over to a joint one.

Just make a loan to him...let him choose to buy the ticket from his borrowed funds.

or, meet up in Italy

generally the visa appointments are only that you are authorized to begin standing in line at the appointed time. being a bit late probably won't hurt; or, the beneficiary could get in line with the idea that the USC would be along as soon as the fee is paid.

your valid Bosnian passport is all you need. the green card is for re-entry into the U.S.
By the way, have you applied for your permanent green card? Your 2008 one is about to expire 6/23.
-
It will make no difference to the USCIS because they are only looking for joint ownership/debt
-
Quite possibly USCIS asks for such extras when there is some question about there being enough income to sponsor. Income is not an issue at the I-751 stage; only proof of a continuing bona fide marriage.

Some states will accept the NOA-1; others require the EAD.

A copy of the 1040 alone should cover it. It has for us, every step of the way.

You are right -- financial matters have no place in the process of lifting conditions. The cosponsor would be legally liable over a decade to reimburse the government for the food stamp cost.

the fee change makes sense, but I wonder if they take into account the USCIS payroll? I doubt it.

I can remove my wife from my will and my bank account any time...so collective of financial documents will count; not just a bank account:
joint health and dental insurance from work place
life insurance and bank account beneficiary
joint names on tenancy
Will
payment for cell phones
....etc etc etc.....
also...text's exchanged to each others numbers, emails, photos of special occasions etc etc
I'm sure all this evidence will count
Yes, tax returns, electric bills, and if there is any question, two affidavits from friends/family testifying to your continued marriage. Credit ratings are irrelevant to USCIS. Any chance of getting those debts paid???
-
We don't have any extra copies, so I think I'll just include a copy and then bring the original to the interview. Thanks for your help!
Just for the future, now's the time to obtain maybe three originals from the clerk. Trust me...
-
So far, everything is on a normal schedule. Too early to get worried.
-
Are you paying attention to God's instructions for you???
-
Since the marriage is about to end, you should not feel guilty by withdrawing the support agreement at all. You are not responsible for his future and can't be worrying about it beyond the divorce. Let him find his own way to stay in the U.S. The Nigerian scammers seem to have that figured out, based on personal experience with a friend; ICE won't act so don't hope it will.
-
Filing for a divorce is a separate issue from your immigration status. You should do that as soon as possible. Also, you CAN remarry once the divorce is final, depending on the laws of your state.
As regards your immigration status, it is already somewhat of a mess, isn't it? That is a separate issue and best handled by a very competent immigration lawyer. It sounds as if you already have a new spouse in mind; would he be willing to live with you overseas?

Every bank seems to have a notary public and there is no fee to have your signature on your letter notarized. That is such a simple matter it's not worth debating anyway. That way, USCIS won't have to return your letter a few weeks later requiring that it be notarized.
When you have decided to start the search for a new woman friend, and thus consider your current engagement has really actually ended, that's the time to withdraw. Enjoy your searching and make the most of it. The Philippines is indeed lots of fun. As always, young women (and men) reserve the right to change their minds; there are lots of nasty things being said overseas about marrying an American (true stories of abuse, for example) and how life in the U.S. is quite demanding.
When the time comes to file the I-129f again, simply include a two paragraph letter "Request Waiver under IMBRA" and state briefly what happened to the other two. I have never heard of a waiver being denied, and submitting it doesn't delay the process whatsoever.
-
Your case number is on the receipt you received. You can use that to log in to the USCIS case status system. But it will be at least two months before you'll notice any change in status.
-
Best to set a deadline for filing, and make it your top priority to get all the forms filled out completely....and then file (sometime in 2010, preferably)
-
Precisely. Tell the facts and don't make up any stories.

If both your LEGAL addresses remain the same, and they should, you're OK with the I-751. If she goes out and gets a California drivers' license, then you have a problem.
