  1. I've noticed that several April filers had their I-130 touched...I wonder this is start of something good or simply re-organizing of files on their end resulting in touches...god knows...we will find out soon. I hope.

I got touched on 9/29/08... it's in my signature! So thrilled to see something after almost 7 months!

  2. In the past couple of days I have noticed that applications transferred from late Feb and early march from VSC to CSC have been approved by CSC. Curious to see if VSC will start transferring more I-130's to CSC.

    Comments?

Our receipt date was Feb 29 but was not transfered to CSC . Case here still pending. Hopefully this Oct miracles will happen to all of us who are waiting patiently.

Mamalou, I think the reason you were not transferred is because you a K3 filer. Only the cases of CR1/IR1 were transferred.

You're right. K3s are rarely transferred. My intention is I-130, but everyone kept saying K3 will help, but I feel it is backfiring right now and now [i'm] stuck at Vermont...

  3. This thread is in response to a thread I saw requesting the Delicia add K3 filers to her spreadsheet. I understand the reasoning behind keeping CR1/IR1 and K3 separated. Therefore, I have started this spreadsheet for K3 filers, like myself, who are waiting for their NOA2. I am a numbers person and I like to see when people near my filing date are getting approved.

You can find the spreadsheet here.

So, thank you Delicia for showing us how Google Docs can be used. I have never tried this before but am always interested to learn new tools. So I figured I would give this one a shot...

    1. For all the California filers, I plan to add those spreadsheets tomorrow.

    2. Both California and Vermont filers can send me their updates/changes and I will be happy to update the spreadsheets.

    3. Cells highlighted in GREEN refer to approvals that have occurred over the last month.

    4. Cells highlighted in YELLOW refer to recent touches. (Disclaimer: We all have seen that approvals sometimes happen with or without previous touches. But this is just another indicator that I was curious to track.)

    5. If anyone has any suggestions for changes to the layout of the spreadsheet or additional columns, averaging wait times, etc... I will gladly take those suggestions also.

    5. Lastly, If anyone would like to volunteer to share the updating responsibility, you are always welcome to do that also.

Ok, Best of luck to everyone and wishing you all speedy approvals.

Can you please add me in the spreadsheet? My signature tells the story in its entirety!

    Thanks in advance!

  4. I just received an email after sending in my docs for my RFE.

I-130 Case Status: Approval Notice Sent

I-129F Case Status: Approval Notice Sent

WOW!!! I guess I'm moving on to the next step.

    It's been so long.

    Whats next?

I hope all other Feb filers are right behind me.

Today is our 8 month wedding anniversary. What a gift and I'm going to see my wife today. WOW!!

Hey rue2you! First, big Congratulations to you! I am sure you're very excited!

Do you mind telling me when the touches were, if any?

    Thanks!

  5. I can't believe it!!! Just got an email from USCIS saying that I've been approved!!! And both I-129 and I-130 show Approval Notice Sent on the USCIS website!!!

This was totally unexpected...thought it would take atleast another month or two. All thanks to God!!! I pray this is a sign of good things to come for all of you too at VSC!!

    Congratulations!

  6. Usually when you go for the K3 route, sending in both I130 and I129F petitions, they both get approved at the same time. After that you can decide which route to take at the NVC.

Filing I129F usually does not slow down your I130 processing at all, I think both are approved by considering the I130 filing date.

I haven't come across any cases where the I130 would be approved before the I129F, if that happens that usually means the I129F has been dropped completely and will not be approved at all.

I agree with you 100%, but let me ask you this: You know how they say that sometimes it's great if you don't have too many touches (as an indication that everything is good), then how come none of my applications move? I know it appears to be in late-Feb, early-March phase, but I don't have a clue on what they are doing!

    Any help/advise is greatly appreciated.

  7. It seems like VSC processed a lot more spousal visas this week than we saw earlier, but love to know if someone's been able to call them recently find out the latest scoop on where things stand! I am tired of waiting.

Here's something I got in my search, but I have not verified this information.

    Vermont Service Center

    75 Lower Welden St.

    St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

that is the Premium Processing phone line

I guess it's not what I thought it is! LOL!

  9. I129F and I130 were approved on September 8th. Case was forward to NVC. NVC received I129F on September 15th and says should be forwarded to Islamabad after a week.

    :) :)

    Congrats!!!!!!!!!

    Hey everybody!

Congratulations to all recenly approved! I'm happy for you!

Not to kill anyone's joy, I know that when I-130 and I-129F are filed, they use the I-130 date to process... today, I got a different answer--not from a representative, but my call was escalated to someone else per my request and they said it will be processed by I-129F date (#######)!

Well, when you look at the k3 spreadsheets, it does appear that way actually that they're going by the 129F and not the 130 and for processing the K3, that's what makes sense too!

You know, John McCain was saying today that he would fire SEC Chairman Chritopher Cox, well, I want to fire the entire management at the Vermont Service Center... I wish I was in charge--heads would have rolled!

  11. I got a touch yesterday on both of the petition. I spoke with a supervisor yesterday, so it could be a fake touch or for real.... lets see... I hope my Birthday wish comes true... I am praying Allah............

hey khaleda...how did u get a hang of the supervisor? what did u say to get there?

Yeah! I, too, wondered how you could get a supervisor on the phone? Should be interesting to know!

  12. Hello! Just letting you know I got approved today! First filed in May 2007, but there's a whole story that you can see in my timeline. I hope I'm adding this to the right section. We started in VSC but got moved to CSC August 25, 2008.

Good luck to those still waiting, and keep the faith!

Your timeline says you filed for K-3, but I don't see any info in there about an I-129F. Are you K-3 or CR-1?

I have a feeling that they are IR1/CR1

I think it's time to move on to the next week... if they can't get anything done on weekdays, expecting anything on weekends is beyond both their and our expectations!

  13. I will start with my timeline

    Noa1 I-130 March 5, 2008

    Noa1 I-129F June 12, 2008

Touch both app. July 11, 2008

    status : pending.

who else is in the same boat PENDING at VSC K3 ONLY from 07 if there is any to April 2008??

I know there is many spreadsheets going on I just want to gather with the ones not approved yet and maybe get an idea who will be the first in line when VSC decides to start working with the applications left out that were not transferred.

once again calling only 2007 and Jan-April 2008 pending petitions.

I am in the same boat... my signature tells my story in its entirety!

Until VSC approves, I recognize them as...

    V: Virtually

    S: Sucker-filled

    C: Center

  14. hmmm...Looks like all original CSC march filers are thru (except positivity, who may not have updated her status). Don't know about VSC guys. It's been a while since I checked Delicia's spreadsheet. I admit though, checking that spreadsheet was awful for me for so many days because I was one of the last one to get approved who filed in early march where other in april and may kept on getting approved.

    CS

    Desperately waiting for approval...
