  1. Hello!

My husband & I made the journey to move him from the UK to the US years ago. After almost 10 years, we decided to move to the UK to be with his aging parents. We are now thinking about moving back to the US. My husband turned his immigration card in after the move since we planned to be in the UK indefinitely. My question is, do we start over from the beginning or is there a different path since he was approved before? Thank you in advance, KYLady

  2. I was also given www.edperspective.org on another thread.

To the OP: I can actually tell you the answer to that question!!

I know, because after I got my Associates in Applied Science degree from a U.S. community college, I was curious to know what the U.K. equivalent was, so I looked into it. The AAS is a 2 year vocational qualification, and its U.K. equivalent is an NVQ level 4.

    So there ya go. ;)

That's great news, my UK qualifications do count for something

    Thank you!

  3. Once again, do you have to pay for the fingerprinting at the embassy, or is that already paid with the visa fee? if not how much is it?

    Once again my friends, Thanks.

We did a IR1/CR1 visa and did not have to pay anything further for the visa process. The only thing that my husband had to pay for at the time of his interview was for the courier fee to send his visa to him.

    Best of Luck!!

  4. You can call the same number that you phoned to make your appoinment. From what I understand they are really good at getting the information sent to the embassy. They told my husband that no news is good news. They said that they would call if they needed to see him again/had concerns.

Best of luck with the remainder of your journey!!

  5. My husband completed his interview this morning in London. All went well! His appointment was at 8:00 a.m. He went in took a ticket and waited to be called to the first window. The person reviewed our paperwork and took his finger prints. That part only took about ten minutes and the person asked him to have a seat and wait to be called again. When he was called again for the interview it only took about 10-15 minutes. He was asked only four questions and the interviewer did not look at the evidence that we had pulled together. He then said you are approved and sent him to pay for the courier. The line to pay for the courier took about as long as the other two pieces together. :o) Everyone was nice and he was in and out of the embassy in about an hour and a half. Questions asked:How did you meet? How many times have you been to the US and longest stay? How many times has your wife been to England? What do you for a living. All in all we are thrilled to have all of this over with so that we can be together like other married couples!! It has been a long journey.

Best of luck to all of you! Your day will come!!

  6. Hi.

I'm just wondering who is with me? I'm sure there are a few. . .

    Happy days.

    Hi there :)

We're currently awaiting Packet 3 from London...seems to be taking forever.

    -Kelly

How de we get in touch with the London embassy? I want to find out if they sent out our packet 3.

    Hello,

Please take a look at the link below for the embassy. You will need to call the number they provide and they will give you a email code that is good for one week to make inquaries about your case. From what I've heard they will not answer questions on the phone.

    http://london.usembassy.gov/

Good luck & I wish you a speedy journey!!

  7. the automated system says, "you're case was completed on..."

does this mean they sent your case to the consulate? i thought that is what happens as soon as your case is completed. my wife insists that i need to call and ask someone to find out.

the problem is that everytime i call, they say line is busy and hang up on me. it usually takes an hour to finally get to speak to someone.

can i assume our case was sent or will be shortly or should i call and find out the date it was or will be sent?

    thanks!

Per our experiance...the case was noted complete and then within a few days of that it was forwarded to the embassy.

Good luck with the rest of your journey!

  8. Evidence of bonafide marriage – Affidavit of Witness

its is notarized by the public attorney?

how much we need to submit?

    thank you!!!!

you only need a marriage certificate authenticated by Department of Foreign Affairs.. I dont know how it works in your country but this is the only thing you need and pictures of thge wedding.

If getting the affidavit notarized is not a big deal I suggest that you go ahead & do it. It just shows that the person writing the affidavit has been wittnessed as writing/signing it. Anyone can write a letter but taking that extra step makes it more of an official document. Those little things can make a big diffrence. Just my opinion.

    Best wishes with your journey!!

  9. Hello

I am having CR-1 interview in coming month here in India. And my wife is with me who is USC.Is it good to have my wife during the interview time to have a better proof.

and the 2nd question is the airlines prices has gone up so much these days what do you think to buy air ticket before interview. is there any chance of denial of CR-1 visas??

    thank you

    your comments are highly appreciate

I brought my husband with me at the day of my interview, but when the officer called me in the window, I went to the window alone, and then later asked my husband if he was there with me.. The officer asked me to call him, and he talked to my husband and verified some of our documents..

The interview lasted for about 15-20 minutes i think.. and we got approved.. i will suggest to bring your wife, but every embassy has different procedure, it wont hurt if you will try.

Do not buy now. You have to wait until you got approved, because after the interview, you will still need to medical and such.. so it will take a while..

    Good Luck on your interview!!

I wish that I could be with my husband for our interview next week but they do not allow anyone in the London embassy but the person being interview. (with the exception of the person being under 18 or needing translation)

    Best Wishes!!
