  1. Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, of Louisiana ... once a Democrat who became a Republican in 1988 and served in the Louisiana House of Representatives, posted an essay on his Web site in June titled, "Obama Wins Demo Nomination: A Black Flag for White America."

Obama "will be a clear signal for millions of our people," Duke wrote. "Obama is a visual aid for White Americans who just don't get it yet that we have lost control of our country, and unless we get it back we are heading for complete annihilation as a people."

What can one seriously say to ####### like this. We can call him an idiot but will it seriously change anything.

After all he is from one of the most corrupt states.

it doesn't matter what state he is from. if he was from X Y or Z state he's still an idiot.

    And then some.

I can't understand how someone hates so absolutely. I feel sorry for his family, imagine the shame they must feel.

  2. FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - Meet Hailey Jo Hauer and Xander Jace Riniker, both born at 8:08 a.m. on 8/8/08, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces, in neighboring states.

Xander, born at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is the eighth grandchild for his mother's parents. And he's not the only one in his family with an unusual birthday: His 2-year-old brother, Kael, was born on 4/5/06.

Lindsey Hauer thought staff at Lake Region Hospital in Minnesota were joking when they told her the time of her daughter's birth. And then she got a call from the birthing suite noting Hailey's weight.

Nurse Jenny Harstad joked that she tried to shrink the baby to 18 inches from her actual 19.5 inches.

Several hospital staff members in Minnesota pledged to buy lottery tickets. And Chad Riniker, Xander's father, said that eight hadn't been his lucky number before, but that now he was thinking about buying a lottery ticket.

"I just might," he said. "If nothing else, with four children I should probably play the lottery."

  3. I knew quite a bit about Pakistan before I met my husband. I became friends with his sister while I was in college with my International Business studies and was then introduced to Laeeq. I didn't see him for almost a year, until I went to Lahore, Pakistan for their cousins' wedding. We met up again, there. By the time we started dating (per say) I was very familiar with his country, culture, and religion.

  4. D'oh! That's what I get for asking an unresearched question. I just saw the thread asking non-USCs if they would have moved here but for the relationships with USCs. I was curious about the other direction.

One of the beautiful things about VJ is that most issues are covered really well, and any question or comment posted will be mulled, supported, criticized, corrected, and applauded in the same thread (if you are lucky).

    It's all good
