Round trip is cheaper. Delta will fly you directly into the United States, but into Atlanta, Georgia. Give enough of a lay over if he/she will be destined to be elsewhere. If your using KLM, he/she should be fine.

I believe it is safe to post now..... Tony is safely on his way home!!!!
He will arrive tomorrow evening, God willing and no problems!
Thank you God for your constant blessings and guidance!!!!
Can you tell me which airline you used. My fiance is from nigeria also and his interview is coming soon. Thanks
We chose Delta. The unfortunate thing was we didn't give her enough to get through immigration and customs. She actually had to return to customs to give them a booklet they should have taken when she was there. Give yourself at least three hours. Also make sure she some way to contact you. Fortunately the wonderful blessed lady at the counter spoke Yoruba, and was able to clarify things to my wife. Also she let her use her cell to call us over here.

I haven't slept well in a week. She missed her flight to Ontario, CA. Fortunately, there was a Yoruba woman at the ticket counter, who assisted my in getting a room and a food voucher for the night. I have to laugh though. She had sweet and sour chicken and rice. She said the chicken was sweet, with orange sauce, and the rice was tasteless. I had to tell her that she will have to get used to different types of food.
I guess getting her hooked on to Burritos is going to be a work in progress.
Anyhow, I have to wait another 6 1/2 hours now. @sigh@
I was so disappointed, I felt kinda crushed she didn't get here yesterday.
She'll be here this morning though, so I guess the consolation prize isn't that bad.

Congrats mama... you have done well, happy reunion... mine is Sunday night! :-)

Thank you all very much for all the input! We have told her to ask, ask, ask. We even got a toll free number through vonage, which we will have for the month so she can call us at the airport to indicate she is going to get on the plane.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing!

Has anybody flown through ATL? My wife has a two hour layover in the ATL, I know we have prayed about it, but besides reading the POE entries, can anybody give me some advice about it. I have spoken to an staff member of ATL international, she told me that immigration and customs could take up to an hour and a half. Giving her 30 minutes to find her way to which concourse and the gate number.
It has me a little frazzled!
Any advice is good advice. Thanks!

We all have are disappointments. Keep your head up, you get to spend time with your "boo" in a short while.
And yes, God is good!

Congrats!!!@@@!!!!
Same thing for my wife last week, they never asked to see any of the amount of proof she had in her hand. After asking and answering the questions... they gave her approval.
What to pack?

Have a wonderful time, and enjoy it to the fullest. Make sure you are visiting as much of Nigeria as possible. :-) Take pictures, enjoy yourself, and your SO, it should be a great time. Be humble and try to understand the culture is different than what you are used to.
