  1. Hi everyone! was wondering what are the available interview schedules? Is there any chance I get an interview date this June? Ive ben calling and was told we hav to wait for another week. or we have to wait for the USEM letter? how come we can't schedule when others were able to do so...?It's the last hurdle for the K1...

thanks for any input here... =)

Once you are through with the NVC and the the US Embassy in Manila got your approved petition they will send you a letter stating you are now eligible for visa interview. That's the time you call them to have your appointment. Just wait and while waiting gather all the documents you will need for the interview. Goodluck! :)

  2. Do I need to bring the copy of all the papers we sent to the NVC on my interview at the embassy? particularly the affidavit of support, tax transcripts and the notices of action? My husband sent me a package of all the documents we sent to the USCIS & NVC including the personal letters i sent to him for additional proofs of relationship but unfortunately I haven't receive it yet until now. He sent it to me ahead of time and we were confident that i'm gonna get it this time but i keep waiting and nothing arrive yet. I am leaving to Manila on June 9th which is a 2hr flight from my city to get my medical exam and will stay there until my interview on the 18th. So i wonder if it's ok not to bring a copy of affidavit of support, tax transcripts & paystubs from him since the NVC got all those already and if i am not mistaken the NVC will send it to the embassy too, right? This is really bothering me right now. I know i still have time left but in case i won't get it on time at least i know what im gonna do. Any advice please? Thanks a lot!

  3. You need to write your case no. on the DS-3032. After the case is complete usually it takes a week or two to get the case number. Keep calling the NVC is they got your papers. As soon as we got our case no. from the nvc, i emailed them my choice of agent. It took a month before i got the hard copy but i didnt bother to send it back to them since they already got my choice of agent through email. It saves time.

  4. I'm sorry for your loss. :( This is one of the things i fear about when i have to move to the US. I am praying for you and your family. I know it is easy to say this but hard to do...be strong. Think that this is just a new and everlasting life for her.

Regarding with your question, i don't know exactly the answer but try to call your local immigration office...maybe they will consider this. God bless you!

  5. Try the Best Western Hotel La Corona, Ermita. It's near St. Luke Medical Center and US Embassy. It's just a small hotel but I found it safe and clean hotel with great services and nice amenities. Their rate is quite reasonable and they serve complimentary buffet breakfast. It is also near (few blocks away) the shopping mall, Robinson.

I've stayed in Best Western Hotel La Corona on the night before my husband left back to the US. Their room was nice but the building seems old and "scary" looks like a haunted place bwehehe...i know i'm just weird. I had a bad experience inside their old looking elevator co'z i was stuck inside for like 10 minutes coz it wont open. So when i went back to my room i decided to take the stairs and the hall way looks scary coz the light will turn on and off when u walked in bwehehe...looks like the things you've seen in horror movies. Maybe i'm just too gay. bwehehe

Anyway, thanks again for all the info. I was thinking about staying in Cherry Blossoms hotel coz that's what my sis was telling me too. I'm just wondering how far is it from the embassy?

Hello ate Cris, me and my mom stayed at Cherry during my medical. It is only 3 mins walk to St. lukes

And from the hotel to USEm I think its about 5 mins :D

    Good Luck sa atin...

    Ready knba? hehheeheh :)

Ako di ko alam but excited na ako :)

I am still waiting for the papers that hubby sent me which i might need for the interview tapos i have to claim my cenomar pa...hay kaloka! I dont know if i am ready yet, bahala na si Bro sa atin bwehehe. Sometimes i find myself nakatunganga at work thinking about the medical, the interview and the thought of leaving this country...waaaaaa...im having cold feet na (eventhough it's summer here)

  6. I've learned that in some place you are required to submit a copy of CFO seminar to apply/renew a passport. I almost fly to Manila to attend that seminar co'z my friend from Cagayan de oro told me it's one of their requirements but when I went to the DFA office here in Davao City to clarify this thing they didn't even know about the CFO seminar. So i got my passport renewed without the CFO certificate.

With regards to your NBI, if the other person who have same name like yours and has no criminal record then you are lucky, but if she did then that will be a headache. It usually takes ten days to release your NBI clearance once you're "hit"

  8. Hello kababayan ko!

I have an interview date on June 18, 2009 and I am planning to have my medical exam on June 10th. I just wanna ask if anyone here knows a cheap but safe place to stay that is close to St. Luke Med Center for my medical...and a place near the US Embassy for my interview...if possible just a walking distance. I'll be flying there all the way from Davao City, although I've been in Manila several times, still I am not familiar with the place. I just want to have a fix place to check in when I arrive there co'z I don't wanna be carrying my stuff around looking for some place to stay. bwehehe

I will appreciate your suggestions. It would be cool too if you can include the address and contact number. Thank you. God bless everyone...have a blessed Sunday!

  9. Ive been teaching my husband to speak visayan...but all he remembers are the bad words :bonk: well most of it. It's so cute when he text msg me on my phone in visayan, he just connect all the words he remember....and he sounds so funny when he tries to read all the visayan comments on my friendster page.

  10. I truly understand how you feel because I've been through with that kind of situation before with my past relationship. When i finished my college everyone had this high expectations that i will have a very successful career in the future, that i will find a great job etc. But due to the employment problem here in my country, it makes it so impossible to find a job that is suitable to my degree. Until i met my ex and he told me not to worry about finding a job coz he can provide for us etc. After a long time of being stuck at home i started to lose my self esteem and feeling so insecure which led to jealousy, unhappy and broken relationship. When I met my husband he helped me get through that self-pity. He give me confidence when i was applying for a job and since i started working i feel happy for myself and more confident. Now i dont have to be left worry at home wondering what my husband is doing when he's not home etc. LoL that was an ugly feeling for sure.

Anyway, i really wish and pray that your story will have a happy ending. But the most important thing right now is that you regain your self-esteem, be happy about yourself...then maybe that will lead you a great decision. Yes pray as what most people say. Just open yourself to things that makes you happy and open your heart for whenever the love of your life will come and take you back...thats if he still the happiness in your heart. Keep smiling and tell yourself in the mirror "I am beautiful" :)

  11. Finally our case in NVC is completed as of May 1, 2009. Praise God! I want to congratulate my husband for a job well done after he finished assembling all the necessary papers to complete the petition process. I know its pain in the @$$ to arrange those papers and stuff but he did it after i yelled @ him bwehehehe. I love you baby! Now its my turn to assemble the stuff i needed for my upcoming interview. Anyway we're happy about the good news but at the same time we're worried that my interview schedule might fall sometime in June or early July. I am still on my chemotherapy and expecting to be done by the last week of June. I want to be fully recovered from my therapy before I'll have my medical exam. You know how the chemo drugs affects my whole immune system and blood counts etc that makes it hard to travel to Manila for the medical and interview. As much as we want to be together soon, we need to slow down a lil bit in order to keep up with all the things going on especially my health and the visa process.

I know this is just the beginning of another and final phase of this whole process. I pray that God will continue to guide us and help us get through all the obstacles in life. I pray for those who are still waiting @ the USCIS and NVC that they will hear their good news soon. Keep up the prayers! God bless us all!

  12. Of course, the flight to the Philippines is 16 hours or longer, and expensive. The CO in Manila must have understood that.

    I agree!

This got me worried a lil bit too since my husband just visited me once and it's been a year already. We have a valid reason though in case the CO will ask me. Let's just have faith that God will guide us and the CO in all these process.

  13. I am not sure of what exactly to do about this but if this happens to me, I will definitely email them again my DS-3032 and state there on the email for the correction of my birthdate. And for the I-130, first i will try to contact the USCIS or NVC and ask for the necessary action on this matter. It is better to correct this mistake asap before you face complications in the future. Let us know how you did it so other people will have the idea when this happens to them.
