  1. This is from the Track My Visa Now website, not Visa Journey. I still do not have a timeline estimate on Visa Journey.
  2. Yes, thanks! I have signed up for it and the timelines seem a bit better. At first it was telling me 13 months estimate and now I'm at 15 months. 😔 We'll see what actually happens...
  3. Oh yeah that's strange. I would take that estimate with a grain of salt, as it is based on people updating their timelines and not from USCIS data. It's weird how my timeline does not have an estimate when we have similar PD's. Maybe it's because we have different service centers? IDK
  4. OMG 😭 where is this estimate from? I just see the USCIS estimate which is now the 17 month average for 80% of cases. That would make us end of July if we are lucky...
  5. I think it's a combination of government shutdown + going back to older cases. Hopefully they will start picking up the pace now that the shutdown is finished (for now 🙃).
  6. Yes, he did before we moved to France as we knew we would stay abroad for a while.
  7. Thank you all for your valid points! It does seem risky to try and change it, so I guess I will just have to wait and be patient with the current process.
  8. Oh I'm sorry! I totally misread your post. There has been a massive slowdown since mid-February. I don't know if it is linked to the government shutdown or other issues, but it seems like the front of the line cases have come to a halt recently. People have said that it is to work on the cases with older PD's, which needs to be done, but it seems like they are just processing a lot slower overall.
  9. I don't think that getting a job offer is a valid reason to expedite. And I haven't reached out to my congressman or senator yet. I'm not sure if they can help as I am still technically within the normal processing time for USCIS, which is 17 months now! 😞
  10. Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help answer my question about switching from the standard i130 consular abroad with USCIS to DCF? I've understood that you cannot technically "switch" over the application, but can I cancel my current i130 that is with USCIS and re-file with DCF? My embassy is France and I am a USC petitioning for my husband. Long story short, I am an idiot who did not do their research before I did the regular filing, and I can now get a job transfer to the US with my company tomorrow if I wanted to. My PD is 02/27/2025 and I am feeling very anxious about the recent slow down with processing times. I have a very straightforward case (married for 10 years, husband has social security number, has lived in US and held green card before, 2 kids...), but I don't think that is making a difference and I see horror stories of people waiting 24 months now. I want to move back to the US with my 2 young children in July to be able to start the school year with them, but I am very nervous that my husband might not join us for quite some time. Thanks for anyone that can give some advice.
  11. Wow you are lucky! Looks like you got approved before the big slow down that's happening now. I am a USC petitioning for my husband with 02/27 filing date and no approval yet and I have a bad feeling that it will now take a while. We have a super easy case, but I feel like that won't make a difference in the current situation.
