  1. Long story short, my spouse came to the US seeking safety after enduring an abusive and threatening relationship in her home country. She had held a US tourist visa for years.During this chapter of her life,we met and connected in a way that felt natural and genuine. Overtime, our bond grew stronger, and I proposed to her. We've now been happily married for nearly a year - a journey built on love, trust, and hope for a peaceful future together.
  2. Our legal counsel filed a motion to withdraw the asylum case and the I-601(A)concurrently. She will return to Canada once she has received approval and will attend an interview at the Montreal embassy.
  3. I filed an I-130 (IR-1/CR-1) for my spouse. My application was received/processed on January 21, 2026, and I received a NOA dated January 26, 2026. I'm looking for January 2026 filers (IR-1/CR-1) to help us in the immigration process. luckily, my spouse is with me in the United States while her asylum case is pending. I hired an attorney who will represent us during the immigration proceedings and throughout the process. I've read a lot about the process and what to expect in the coming months and years. Petitioner: US Citizen Beneficiary: Canadian Citizen
