  1. Hi! I'm looking for some guidance as I'm seeing contradictory information. Myself (US citizen, dual UK citizenship, lived in the UK since birth) and my husband (UK citizen) have just completed and uploaded his DS-260, my I-864/supporting docs, and I-864 and financial docs for my Dad (US citizen, lives in the US) who is my husband's joint sponsor. Under the submission page for my dad's documents it states 'You MUST bring all of your original documents (not a photocopy) to your interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate'. However, here under the Interview Preparation section it states you do not need to bring the Affidavit of Support or financial documents to the Interview. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html I need to be certain which it is, as we are on vacation in the US right now, leaving on Friday, so if we do need original financial documents from my dad (W2, pay stubs etc.) we need to bring them home with us. Thanks in advance for any help!
  2. Everywhere I have done my research suggests that this is not needed. She will become a US Citizen upon entering the US on an immigrant visa according to The Child Citizenship Act of 2000. She will reside with me, and will reside in the legal and physical custody of me, the U.S. citizen parent. So, it seems as if doing an I-864W is not needed and will be a waste of time, but do correct me if i am wrong?
  3. She does qualify to become a citizen. On the CEAC website it doesn't give me an option to file I-864W for her?
  4. I am not a dependant and neither is my daughter. He currently just has himself and my mom on his taxes, so with being a sponsor for my husband I assume this would then be 3?
  5. If anyone can help me i would be really grateful!! I'm the US citizen sponsoring my husband and daughter (daughter and I dont meet the requirements for me to pass on my citizenship to her). We all currently reside in the UK. I have a few questions: 1. On my I-864 Affidavit of Support, do I put my UK income down in dollars? (I have filed taxes for the last 5 or so years so can submit these) or do I list this as $0? 2. My father will be a joint sponsor. On his I-864 form does he need to list his household size as current or the number after we move in with him? For reference this will be him, my mom, me, my husband and my daughter. She has a separate immigrant petition. Thank you in advance.
  6. I have emailed the local school to enquire about enrolling my child, and have transferred significant savings over to my US bank account. I dont live in the US so I wouldn't want to lie on my form and use that!
  7. I am the main petitioner for my husband. My US citizen father will be a joint sponsor. I currently live in the UK with my husband and our child. When filling out my I-864, when it says about country of domicile would I put in UK and then submit evidence of intent to establish domicile? Such as bank statement from a US account, my state ID and emails to the local school? My father has also signed a letter to say we will be living with him. If anyone has been in this situation I would appreciate any and all advice please! Thank you
