    We were both living outside the country at the time. I was able to find our I-797C NOA with California service center address so I'm guess that would work as "place".

    I'm petitioning for my wife for an IR-1. We lived in the US previously (entered on a K-1 visa and the she got a Green Card) but moved back to Italy before she was able to get citizenship. The I-130 form asks for the "place, date of filing, and the result" of the previous petition. I can probably track down the date, but what are they asking for with the "place" of filing? The fields provided are only "City or Town" and "State" so apparently it needs to be a location in the US.
