  1. Congratulations! Was your DQ closer to the beginning of September or the end?
  2. The data on the website is always a bit behind. Last month it showed July, but starting from the 20s of October they were already sending out invitations to people with DQ August. So it is very likely that when this month’s invitations go out after the 20th, you will receive your IL. If that happens, please let me know. My DQ is October, and I’d like to know if they begin calling September
  3. If I enter the US to activate my visa and then return to Canada for about two months to finish things there, the green card will later arrive at the US address I provided. At that point, I cannot enter the US using the activated visa anymore because my green card has been issued. But since the card will be delivered to the US address, I will not have it in hand. What should I do in that case? Should the person who receives the green card in the US mail it to me in Canada? How do people usually handle this situation?
  4. Congratulations! I’m also going through the EB2-NIW process. Because of the long wait for the PD, some things I described in my case have slightly changed. How deeply did the officer go into the substance of your case? Did they ask any questions related to it? I know people who had their interviews in Warsaw, Poland, and the officers there were always very meticulous about what was written in the case itself. Some were even sent for reconsideration to USCIS (which in practice means a full denial, since the case won’t be reviewed in a positive way). How are things with the officers in Montreal? Did they ask if you have a job offer? Even though it’s not required for EB2-NIW, that’s a question they often like to ask in Poland. If possible, could you please share more details about how your EB2-NIW interview went? There are very few posts about this specific subcategory, and it would really help to understand what to expect
  5. Thanks for sharing and congrats! The officer didn’t ask you any questions about your petition at all, or anything like “what makes you extraordinary and why are you applying for this visa?” I’ve seen many posts mentioning that they were asked for details — sometimes very detailed ones. Also, what field are you in, if you don’t mind sharing?
