  3. Hi :) My husband and I have a question with regards to Evidence of a Bonafide Marriage. These are documents needed to submit aside from Marriage Certificate. I will list them down:

Note: Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage

The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:

    1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or

    2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or

    3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or

    4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or

    5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

    6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.

*We do not have the documents from 1-4. Our question is about the Affidavits on number 5. Is it ok if we will be sending in an affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties from the Philippines and not from USA? Is it ok to get a relative as third party or should it be someone not related to me and my husband? Also in number 6, can we send in supporting documents such as pictures or letters and plane tickets and hotel receipts? I appreciate so much any help you can give us.

Hi, the pictures is very important to show to them, why not open a bank account together if he is here her with you for addional evidence?

    1. pictures, with both of you, your family, the wedding

    2. invitation card that you have from the wedding

    3. the marriage license certificate that u have applied in municipality, just a copy of it

4.joint bank account - showing that u have trust to each other even not so much in savings

much better than number 5, we never have that, if you have then make it additional then

    :-)

  8. hi! its been long wait for me when delbros screwed up on my payment and didn't informed the embassy of my payment when the embassy is just waiting for delbros to notify that this applicant paid, so they can send a request to delbros the name of applicants for verification to nso..so shame on delbros part that they not qualified enough for the verification job..ur not alone here gurl..lots suffered same thing..what i can suggest is for u to make sure ur docs been submitted in nso for verification, if that would be the case, 2 weeks is the earliest if no problem with the verification, or could be 4 to 6 weeks...i thank my asawa for always calling the embassy and done the verification last friday and its now in the embassy. Right now, am still waiting for my visa to be delivered, its been a month on june 20(got pink and white slip with no other docs needed to pass, just the nso verification result):)

I wish u good luck..guess u will have your visa soon....gos bless to u both!!

  9. Hi Siga...

I am sorry about what happened.

If you got divorced your wife already then there is nothing to lose, if she got the 10 yr card then be it. the only thing would matters there if nobody would support her, then it is your responsibility still because you have a child with her unless it is not yours or adopted already by her new partner and you would not worry about your support for her if she remarried again with a new man. This time her status is she can stay in the US, but she cannot claim anything a support from you unless she proves that there is a reason to get even a single penny from you.

You may start a wonderful life and be positive, learn all the lesson and take it easy, life is beautiful.

Do not wish for anything from her right now, INS or NVC will eventually know if she deserve to be a US citizen or not., it is out of your business anymore. You just did what you think is right and beware for your actions because you do not want to ruin your reputation in INS for the future plans, who knows you will fall in love again and you would be doing the same process, so i think just stay out of it and relax.

IF you love her and she loves you, then forgive her and start a new life again together.

We are just human being, not a perfect, can do mistakes, but one good thing from us is we ask forgiveness and we forgive.

That what makes us more stronger and happy. Learn from our mistakes and overcome failure.

    Goodluck..

    _mercy

  10. HI.. Chris and Barbie,

    First Congratulations!

It would depend to you and your wife, just ignore the I-130 if you want a k3 visa which often much easier to get your wife to the US and continue the process there for Adjustment of status, if CR1 you have to go through with the I-130, your wife will get GC and can work immediately when she come to the US and cheaper but would take more time to wait.

You will be recieving a letter from NVC to pay for CR1 application, if you want the K3 just ignore it, and now you can call them and ask immediately your wife case number it is started with MNL,if you got it them give to your wife, that number would be the reference of all the process, IF the papers is already in Manila then she can ask for appointment for interview (call the USEM manila# 1 909 101 7878)but make it sure she would accept the date with a one week allowance for medical. She can pay P650 for NSO verification in metrobank in advance after getting the CASE NUMber.

I know this because i have gone through this...hayyy just be patient.

    Hope this help.

    Thx a lot

    Mercy

  11. Hi..All

I paid my NSo verification last May 23, and Delbros informed me that they forwarded the transmittal from USEM last June 2, Got my interview last June 10.

Then i follow up with the embassy yesterday what took them so long to issue the visa, Ms. Grace said that they are just waiting for the NSO verification.

Is there anyone here also waiting for the NSO thing?if yes, any alternative? anyone whom i can talk to in NSO to follow up?
