  1. My goal is not to continue the STEM OPT, but there is one final evaluation form we normally file and submit during the last month of the end date. I wonder if I need to submit that to "close" the STEM OPT correctly, before it is deactivated.
  2. USCIS interview, we received the letter of acceptance on myUSCIS for i130 as well as i485 today. So regular acceptance? I am not sure if something else will happen it does not say card is being produced at the moment. So I am unsure about my current "status" thus my initial questions on it considering my stem-opt.
  3. I-485 is got accepted just today, I work with my STEM-OPT EAD still. I will update my timeline but everything was really fast (interview was yesterday).
  4. As the title says, when my I-485 is “accepted” by USCIS, am I no longer considered to be in F-1 status? I assume I should inform my school, but what about my employer? Do I need to submit the STEM OPT validation form (the one we file every six months) one last time with my employer? Any advice would be appreciated during this transition.
  5. Thanks, finally filed although I will put more unsolicited evidence to i130 because I noticed some of them I missed🫠
  6. I am on STEM OPT, adjusting from F1, and curious about the answer to the Question 15. I am unsure whether I need to enter the end date of my STEM OPT EAD card, or leave it as D/S which is written in my I-94? Problem with the first option is, there is still a grace day to stay so technically it is not the exact "end date" Any thoughts on this new question? Thank you.
  7. Hello all, I noticed that in I-693, Part 5, Applicant's Identification Number, the preparer entered: Form of Identification: Passport Document Identification Number: "Here they entered my 'Personal Identification No.' available in my passport" However, I am pretty sure they needed to enter the Passport No. right? I am using my passport no. in other files such as i485 and so on, I am not sure why they entered my "personal identification no" that I have never used outside my home country. Is this part important, should I ask them to re-do the whole thing? They put so many vaccination evidence etc. too so I do not want them to miss something else in the second go. Any help or experience with this is appreciated.
  8. I think because I filed online i765s previously, and all went through quickly without RFEs, so I wanted go with the system I am more accustomed to (upload pdf, online signature, online payment, etc.)
  9. Hello OldUser, Firstly, thank you for your help throughout to me and to everyone over the years. It is highly appreciated. Me and my spouse is currently California based too! We have been leaning toward submitting our case online because we are dealing with a lot of messy evidence pieces. If we were scanning everything for a paper submission, it would be turning into way too many documents. We have been worrying that if USCIS were the ones scanning the documents, there could be a chance of them putting a file in the wrong place or scanning something incorrectly. I am just starting to look into how the online process works, but we are not fully decided yet. Honestly, I will probably go out-of-status and just leave the country at this point, because every single decision takes days for me to decide. Currently I am stuck at entering N/A to everywhere (I am worried that I should leave some place blank such as middle name etc.) and I am not even sure if I am doing a good job with it...
  10. Hello all, Firstly, thanks for all the help in last couple of weeks here, I feel like we are almost ready to apply and figuring out the payment stuff and lockbox locations and final evidence etc. Our info: I am the beneficiary married to USC, adjusting from F1. If my spouse applies I-130 (and I-130A) online after creating their own USCIS account, I understand I receive a receipt and submit that with the application. Will the priority date be available in the receipt? Is there anything else I need to fill out or update in any of the forms? Thank you!
  11. Interesting, this is what I have in the final version of I-864 form, that is why I was using the "adjusted gross income" in IRS forms: With that being said, is that correct for everyone who files taxes married-filing-jointly. I guess the answer is "sure, why not?" but I wanted to make sure...
  12. Hello all, I realized I am not too sure on the income and tax information still... Me: Beneficiary, makes around 70k Spouse: Petitioner, marriage-based, makes around 68k Only two of us are the household members. Please let me know if my understanding below is correct: In I-864: Individual income will be 68k. Proof will be an HR statement? Total income is 138k or something like that, because we filed jointly and that is the adjusted gross income I see in our 1040 tax return transcript. But then I included my own income to the mix, is that a problem? USCIS website says below, and not sure how to proceed: If you included the income of the intending immigrant who is your spouse (he or she would be counted in Part 5., Item Number 1.), you must provide evidence that his/her income will continue from the current source after obtaining lawful permanent resident status. Can I receive some help if you know or have applied after filing taxes jointly? I am a bit confused about how I can provide that evidence of continued work, and my spouse already makes enough. Thank you for the help, I cannot understand the process by myself at all... It would be helpful if someone also very quickly discussed what evidence/information I need for the tax purposes...
  13. Sorry to revive this post and be bother, but is this the official tax transcript? We filed jointly, so we were planning to submit W2 to show my spouse's actual income. Otherwise, the one we report is made by two of us together but I am the beneficiary so I cannot use my own income to support myself. Should I include W2 (if yes, is it last three years?) because we filed jointly?
  14. Thank you for your answers and help. Would this answer also apply to question 2, where I list anything and everything as correctly as possible although it makes the list really long.
