  1. I've been in the Philippines since April 2nd, 2025. I'm working on getting the FBI background check through a channeler.

  3. How did everything work out? Did the FBI background check work out? Did you have the FBI background check apostille?
  4. Hi everyone! I’m a U.S. citizen currently in the Philippines with my fiancée while we wait on the K-1 process. We just got I-129F approval and are waiting for the case number. I’ve requested an expedite with good reasons, so hoping that goes through. I recently found out the CFO might ask for an FBI clearance for the petitioner. Being in the Philippines, getting one would be really tough—and I’m not sure there’s enough time before the interview. Seems like whether it’s requested is kind of random. Anyone have tips or more recent experience with this? Thanks!

  7. I'm talking about the income. I have tax returns for the past 17 years showing I made well above the required amount. If a person had two or three times the required amount ($50K to $75K) in a bank account wouldn't that suffice? Another individual can have a job/income of $55,000 a year and lose that job within two months after the K-1 approval. Thanks again for the conversation.
  8. From what I read the income information is requested at the interview, correct? I also read that the last tax return filed would be sufficient. Is this correct?
  9. Thank you for the reply. I've breifly reviewed the I-864P information. So far I cannot find anything referring to amount in savings but I'll review more in detail later.
  10. Hello Everyone! I filed for a K-1 Visa (I-129F Form)and received the NOA1 back in March. At the time of filing I had been working for the same company for over 17 years. Since filing, my employment at said company has ended. When I found out my job was ending I decided to take a break from working and go stay with my Fiancee in the Philippines. I have some money in savings and currently selling a home back in the US. My question is.... does the $26,000 plus income requirement have to be money coming in? Is there a certain amount needed in savings if you do not have a steady income? Thanks for the help. Just trying to get ahead of the game.
