  1. smae thing basically happened to me years ago as lpr.you now have an arrest record on your file.there will be no criminal record as the judge dropped any and all charges(that pertains to criminal record)The arrest record will show an arrest regardless of any fault or disposition in the case.i learned this the hard way when i did my n-400 citizenship papers.i did have to go to a judge in sf to prove to ins that no criminal charges were filed in my case even if it happened 30 years ago.criminal records and arrest records are two differant things and ins will pull both.....if you have a release statement from the judge this will help later in life

  2. randall,it is basically out of your hands now.uscis gave you permission for your fiancee to apply for the visa in manila.call nvc and get the new case number from them.they will tell you when it was forwarded to the embassy in manila.once manila has the new case number from nvc they will send out a confirmation letter to your fiancee in the philippines.she must then file for the visa and send it to manila for processing.i believe she can fill out and submit to any banko de oro and pay the fee.read up top where it says guides and embassies will help allot

  3. i believe we waited almost 2 weeks for snail mail(usps)after noa2 the case goes to nvc.we were stuck at nvc for further processing for 7 weeks before it went on to manila so watch closely(its called ap)some cases fly thru nvc some dont.but do call nvc late next week and see if they have it from uscis as yet.youll need names birthdates and uscis case number to contact nvc.good luck.manila moves along quite quickly so get prepared now

  4. congradulations randall.youve made it this far.now the process speeds up allot.once approved the uscis sends petition to nvc(this takes days up to 14 days)you can find the national visa centers phone number somewhere on this site.call them give them the uscis case number.this case number will now change to a mnl(manila number)your fiancee must get all her stuff together now and prepare for medical exam.she will be required to do cfo, medical, and interview.please make sure all her police clearances etc etc are not expired before the interview.this is important.gods speed to both of you

  5. i do believe nbi is valid for 1 year.police clearance is valid for 6 months only.(they should have dates on them)these documents can be submitted with the k1 however new updated nbi and police clearance will be needed at the embassy interview

  6. hello, your first order of buisness is the us citizen is to file the i-129f here in usa.this is the us citizens responsibility.of course youll need a copy of her birth certificate and a few various documents from her.file this asap.once approved the next stage will be nvc and the us consulate in manila.there she applies for the visa with all her papers.please read the guides above.dont be affraid to ask questions, weve all been thru this

  7. you need to call the police now and file a report.even if this happened previously it still helps to have a report.let him know you aremt screwing around with him when hes abusive.dont let him play that little drunk stuff with you.once abusive, always abusive im sorry to say.please protect yourself and report him now.if and when it happens again it will show a pattern of abuse and he will be arrested and have manditory jail and classes that he needs.

  8. .im sorry.when i applied for the k1 visa for my now wife i did all the required research and made sure i had enough funds to cover all our expenses.why is it that so many men petition there fiancees/wifes without having the money to cover expenses.i do agree that things happen(medical bills, etc etc do come up)however, some just plainly dont think of the entire costs associated with this process.i wish you the best of luck on your aos and know it will work out.
  9. my son is a usc by birth.he left usa for canada and is resideing in bc area.he is married to a cc.he now has duel citizenship and wants to bring his wife and her child from prevous marriage to us.they are legally married in canada.i also am aware she has a police record that we also need to look into.is this a i-130 or cr-1 filing?please help thanks

  10. shareef,it sounds to me like you are here as an immigrant on a greencard.have you filed for n-400 as yet?i was in us for 45 years before i filed my n-400.the day i recieved my certificate i filed the k1 visa for my fiance.total time was about 18 months from time i filed n400 nto the time she arrived legally.i cant tell you what to do about her now but sounds like if shes caught shell be banned for at least afew years.see a lawyer now,do not wait

  11. i to was a canadian citizen living in usa since age of 3 on a greencard.i met the filipina i wanted to spend the rest of my life with.however,as a canadian citizen the process of k1 is impossible to say the least.i spent 7 months waiting for my n400 naturalization.the day after i recieved my citizenship papers we immediatly filed the k1 visa.needless to say this raised allot of red flags along our journey.after about 2.5 years im proud to say we are married and expecting our first child now.i spent allot of time to get to know my wife in her own country as i traveled back and forth between usa and philippines.it was well worth the time, expense.good luck to you

  12. i would be careful on this.first,a conviction and arrest record are 2 differant things.i was in a bar room brawl years ago and they arrested the whole lot of us.we spent 1 night locked up with no criminal charges ever filed.when i had my n-400 interview the inspector showed me an arrest record of the incident(which i totally forgot about over the years)even though my criminal history is spotless my arrest record showed 1 arrest.i had to clear this arrest thru the san francisco district attorneys office and send into uscis.when i filed the k1 visa for my fiance i sent this in also.
