b2visitor got a reaction from Boiler in Resume demanded for US tourist visa (B1/B2)
I am just confused as to what to include and what not. In the funding description, it clearly says "Name and letter of support from the organization funding your trip"? So that question is clearly targeted to someone who is selected for a PhD or something like that. I have clearly stated in my application that it is self funded. And with regards to itinerary, they themselves state that don't make any plans or purchase tickets before you get a visa. But anyways, as most of you have suggest, I will provide the details that suits my case. Thanks.

Yes, but if you look closely at the letter, they are asking for research and other details that are not at all relevant to a tourist visa. Did you see the attached letter? Main applicant is not a researcher or from any STEM field. He runs a small business of commodity material used in construction.

Hello, thank you for your responses. The main applicant is not from a stem field and runs a small business in a tier 3 town in India (Income is still high). The business sells a common/commodity material used in construction. Main applicant has never worked for any army or agency that will raise red flags. He is part of family business taken over from his dad. Where to get research details when main applicant is not into any research? Also other fields asking for funding and itinerary are not relevant to tourist visa if you look at the letter closely!

You can leave the non applicable points out, such as research, invitation from an organization etc. But answer everything else to the best of your ability.
