  1. I really want to double check before we fill this. I will have a joint sponsor (my fiancé’s Mom) So my fiancé’s Mom would write in her I-134 this: ‘I, [Joint sponsor’s full name], the joint sponsor, fully intend to financially support my future daughter-in-law, [Fiancé's Full Name]. I will provide housing, food, and financial assistance as needed. She will have access to my annual earnings, for as long as necessary until she is able to support herself financially in the United States, first as a fiancé and later as my son's spouse after her arrival in the United States.’ Would this be okay? I’m asking because I was thinking what should my fiancé write since he’s unemployed at the moment. Should he say something like: ‘I am currently unemployed and do not have regular income at this time. However, I will provide full housing for the beneficiary at my residence located at [full address]. I will also assist with daily living needs such as food, utilities, and transportation to the best of my ability. Additional financial support will be provided by a joint sponsor.’ Would this be okay or there are specific things they shouldn’t or should be writing there? ALSO I’ll be living at his Mom’s house for the first 3ish years, so I was thinking that maybe he shouldn’t mention his address in that statement, or? Also, what should I say at the interview or when I travel to the U.S. if they ask where I’m going to live? Because on DS-160 at the moment I have written my fiancé’s address (it’s still fixable), would it be okay if I write his Mom’s address?
  2. In our case and my fiancé needed to do the biometrics. If people say it's rare, it's either random or there's something in the petitioner's background. My fiancé had DUI years ago, so that might be the reason why he needed to do the biometrics.
  3. Hey! A question for anyone who has had sent a PI to NVC recently to get the case number. It’s recommended to write them no earlier than 14 days. So I was wondering, when you did it, how long did it take for them to answer you and send the case number? And if they did, was your case sent to embassy the next week (they send batches to embassies every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)? I’ve calculated that I should be sending them a PI on Friday. They will send the batch to all the embassies on Tuesday and Wednesday the week after. Do you think I would be considered as a too new case to be sent on those days? Thank you in advance!
  4. Thank you for the reply! I'll have a K1 visa, so does this apply to me?
  5. Hello! I was wondering if anyone has had experience taking prescriptions to the airport when you move? I read that if you take your medication that is meant for longer than 3 months, then you need a prescription. My question is - did you have them translated in English? Because I asked if it’s possible to get the prescriptions in English and there isn’t an option like that in my country.. the doctor said that it really doesn’t matter anyway because all the pills are labeled in Latin too. But I don’t know if that’s enough because the usage etc. isn’t in english.. But yeah! Just wanted to ask about your experience!
  6. Hello! How long did it take for you to get RFER after sending the letter with the necessary things for the RFE? We sent it with a super fast delivery last Tuesday, and it shows that they picked it up on last Friday, but still till today, I haven’t got any updates that they have changed it from RFE to RFER. Some people on Discord mentioned that they have already been waiting for 20 days and still nothing! Is there a certain time when we can contact USCIS and ask about our case? Also when it’s RFER and people have been waiting, what is the number of days when they can contact USCIS?
  7. Hi! I'm sorry if this is the wrong section I'm writing this post - I'm still learning how to do this I remember half a year ago I accidentally found a list of people that had got RFE and reason of it, and next to that when they got approved if I'm not wrong. I might have been mixing up something, maybe it wasn't on VisaJourney webpage.. but I do remember that it was a downloadable word file where you could see a list of profiles/people. Thanks in advance!
  8. Hello! I was wondering, what kind of insurance you had when you moved to the U.S. with K1 visa? I'm searching about it on the internet and I'm confused. Do you have any experience and could you recommend any insurance companies when I get to the U.S.?
  9. I’ve heard some people are waiting more than 40 days to get RFER to approved. Anyone know if this is one of those considered complex RFE and waiting for months to hear back?
  10. Hi again! I was wondering how long it took for the RFER change to Approved for you?
  11. Hopefully it will go smoothly. I’ve heard people are waiting from RFER to approved for more than 40 days 😬 Thank you! ☀️
  12. Oh we just got the letter!!! It’s the court documents. We need to show charges and dispositions for every offense
  13. Oh, no no, we’re still waiting for the RFE letter, but I’m just guessing what it could be.. I know it’s quite misleading, but I just want to be as prepared as possible 😅 I just have seen other people posts about them getting an RFE because of their DUI (that they need to send the police records). Because I know we just sent the original (? I know it wasn’t just a basic copy, so it must be a certified copy) court document
