  1. Hi all. I had my interview last Friday at the West Palm Beach office, and It went so well that I am still in disbelief. My appointment was for 9:30 AM, and we entered the building at 9:05 AM. There must have been 90 - 100 people waiting for their interviews as well. Because it was a combo interview, I brought my husband and our 3 year old son. At 10:45 we got called by a lady officer. We were led to a room after passing a long corridor. In that wing of the building there were at least 20 rooms. Most had people inside being interviewed. Anyway, we encountered the sweetest officer. She was so nice that she kept asking our son questions, especially about his recent Halloween experience. The first question she asked was how my husband and I met. I spoke about it, and even then she continued to be so friendly to my toddler. Then she asked my son if was Ok for her to ask Mom a few questions. That was the cue for my husband to bring him to the chair behind me. Surprisingly, they stayed in the room while my husband was playing with my son. The officer asked the civic questions, which I answered the first 6, and that was it. I did the English test that stated that California has the most people people in a state. After answering correctly, the officer then proceeded to ask me all those questions about being a member of the Communist party, etc. And that was it and she said that she was recommending for citizenship.I would just to have to wait for the notice for the oath taking. I signed a few papers and the interview was effectively over. I was so moved that my eyes started to swell. I thanked the officer profusely and asked to shake her hand. That was such a relief. I say that because my husband had a nephew who used to be a USCIS officer in NYC, and he was an absolute terror to would be immigrants and citizens. When we were out of the building, my husband joked that the officer had more questions for our son than me. Which was so true. The journey is almost over, and I can't thank everyone enough in this forum for all the help. A big shoutout to Old User for sharing so many of his insights. BTW, it says in my progress tab that I still have a 4 months wait for a decision. I have to thank Old User again for patiently telling everyone not to be frightened with those estimates. They are often wrong. So for those who still have their interviews ahead of them, good luck! Don't overthink it. And as we say in Brasil, Deus abençoe a todos or God bless us all.
  2. Accordingly, they will only start asking the 120 questions to those who applied on or after October 20, 2025.
  3. Yes, that's what I meant. Thank you for the correction. I know the lengthier questions will be applied to those filing on or after Oct 20, 2025. Not sure about the Good Moral Character in form of volunteering. I was reading from an immigration lawyer's website the ff: Emphasis on Positive Attributes: Factors such as sustained community involvement, family responsibility, educational achievements, stable employment, lawful residence, and financial responsibility (including tax compliance) will be weighed favorably. It was talking about how USCIS would send its agents to interview neighbors about the applicant. They would want to know if the applicant was volunteering for community service. I was confused if this was already being implemented. With all the valued help you are giving in all the forums, maybe you had come across any reports of these new rules. Good to hear that's not yet the case.
  4. Hi everyone, I wanted to ask those who have had recent interviews , were there already questions about community service. I understand that effective Aug 15, 2025, the officers may ask questions about community service of the N400 applicant. Apparently one of the new rules. Maybe Old User can enlighten us on this, as he may have come across recent interview experiences narrating community service questions with the later filing groups. Many thanks in advance for your replies.
  5. After waiting 6 months and a week, my interview was finally scheduled today for November 14 in South Florida. In a facebook group that I was monitoring, I could not understand why many of those who filed in April and May in South Florida had already become citizens. Some were under the 3 year rule. An applicant who filed early January, also got her interview schedule today and also has the same date and USCIS as mine in November. Boy is she relieved. I read in the news that the backlog in South Florida is one of the highest in the US. Anyway I was following the JSON codes, and I focused on the count down on the next milestone, Interview Scheduled. When the countdown went down to 0, 2 days after I receive the interview email. I don't know if my particular situation is applicable for everyone. Probably worth investigating. So to the few who still haven't had their interview dates, hang on. You'll probably be getting good news soon. Good luck everyone and thank you to all those shared their experiences. Btw, my progress chart went back from 2 months to 5 months today. Really ! Special thanks to Old User for his assurances that these progress charts don't really tell the whole story.
  6. Hi everyone. I've been checking the JSON every so often. I filed on March 28, 2025 and like everyone else, I've been waiting patiently for an interview date. Today after checking the JSON, I saw this "data":{"display_text":"Interview scheduled","milestone":97,"milestone_days_remaining":38,"ordered_display_text":["Attend biometrics appointment (if necessary)","Interview scheduled". I had to do an AI decoding with Perplexity AI to understand the meaning of these codes. It responded by saying that I was scheduled for interview in 38 days. However, checking my Progress chart, there is no scheduled interview date. It gives an indication of 3 more months. Would anyone know if there is indeed an interview date scheduled or is it just a false flag. Thanks in advance for your replies.
  7. Thank you Old User and Eros 99. Will keep my fingers crossed!
  8. That's good to hear. Would you mind if I ask what your progress tab indicated before you received your interview date. I submitted my application on March 27, 2025 and it indicated that there were 5 months to go. Then over the months it went down to 4 months, then 3 months, then 2 months. On the 90th day, surprisingly it reset to 5 months again. Now it says 4 months after 120 days from filing. So I'm wondering if those progress tabs are truly an indicator of how long we have to wait, Thanks.
  9. Congratulations. I filed late March, and to date still no word on the interview. Based on your timeline, I was hoping that I would be getting my interview date from West Palm Beach office last month. But no luck. Anyway it was so great to see that you had your oath administered after the interview. Wow!
  10. I had a similar thing happen to me. I received an update exactly on the 3rd anniversary. My progress tab went from 2 months to 5 months. As many of you have said, this is not something to worry about, as this not a true indicator. Hope so!
  11. Good to know it's only 5 days after the original interview date! Rooting for you!
  12. Congratulations! The journey is over, and a new one begins!
