  1. Hi everyone, I’m helping my fiancé(e) complete Form I-485 for adjustment of status after entering on a K-1 visa. We are now legally married. I (the U.S. citizen spouse) have children under 18 from a previous relationship. My fiancé(e), the one filing the I-485, does not have any biological or adopted children, only my children through marriage. Question: On Form I-485 where it asks “Do you have any children?”, should my fiancé(e) answer “No” since the children are stepchildren and not their biological or adopted children? Or should they answer “Yes” because we are now married and my kids are technically their stepchildren? Would appreciate any guidance or if anyone has faced a similar situation. Thanks!
  2. Awesome! We received ours too and its In Transit. But they entered the principal applicant first name spelled incorrectly on the kftp letter so thats a bummer and we are working with consulate to get that sorted out.
  3. Same situation here. We received our NOA2 on January 29th, USCIS forwarded it to the NVC on February 18th, and we got our case and invoice numbers on March 10th after a Public Inquiry response. Fingers crossed our case goes In Transit next week!
  4. Our case is still At NVC too, and I'm hoping for some progress next week! I reached out about the KFTP letter last week through PI but haven't heard back yet. I think once the case moves to In Transit, we can contact the hospital to schedule the medical exam and check with the Embassy to see if they've received our case so we can go ahead and schedule the interviews. From what I've read in forums, it seems we don't need to wait for the welcome letter by mail; we can book interview slots with the digital KFTP letter. Kindly Keep us posted if you hear anything new or any update.
  5. Awesome, thanks for sharing! Are these dates from the NVC website? We got our case number and invoice ID, but our case still says it's with the NVC. Do you think it could move to the Embassy this week or around March 25-26?
  6. @Tim and San Could you share your timeline how long it took At NVC to In Transit status change took?
  7. We received case number as a reply to the public inquiry today. Currently the status shows as At NVC. How long it takes to change the status to InTransit/Ready? We are not sure when to book medical. Kindly share.
  8. We received case number as a reply to the public inquiry today. Currently the status shows as At NVC. How long it takes to change the status to InTransit/Ready? We are not sure when to book medical. Kindly share.
  9. Thats great news. So your petition sent to DOS on Feb 12th and you got your case number today? Our case sent to DOS on Feb 18th. The NVC current processing time frame says they are working on cases received from Feb 19th. Does that mean our case was processed already ? Could you please share your inputs?
  10. Did you receive your case number yet? Ours approved on Jan29th and sent to DOS on Feb18th.
