I received my NOA1 for the 751 application but that number does not work online. Is there another number I need to use or do I need to call USCIS? Also does anyone know how long it take to get the bio letter from Vermont after receiving the NOA1. I received it on Nov.22, 2010. I see from timelines the bio appointments are about 5-6 weeks after receiving NOA1 so imagine the appointment letter comes two to three weeks before that?

I agree you seem to have a solid list of proof. The letters are ok to add but not necessary. If you have time they definitely won't hurt but with the list you provided you should be "golden". Good luck.

Forgot to mention that the printouts of pictures are fine. Just date them and try to have some thoughout the two years. Also I would send a personal check for payment esp. if both your names are on them. Extra evidence and you will find out quickly when it is cashed.

Not sure how you can be 4 months pass due on green card. When did you file the forms? If you were late with the wrong form and now want to file the correct form late you will definitely need to beg for forgiveness.

Cool everyone has their NOA like us. Now I am curious how long it takes to get the bio letter. I posted the question on the forum to see if anyone knows. Hi guys just curious about how long after you all received your biometrics letter after receiving your NOA1 letter. Seems like appointments for bio's at Vermont Service Center are around 5 weeks or so after the date of the NOA1 letter, but curious to find out if it is a week after the NOA1 letter or more. This isn't life or death as we already received the NOA1 but it is kind of like waiting to open gifts at XMas (well maybe more like waiting to get a tooth pulled!)

So I went in for Biometrics appointment on 11/29 as opposed to the original date of 12/07 and it was a breeze. Just want to let other people know if you have the appointment letter go for it earlier if you can. The worst thing that can happen is they would say no. In fact they did not even look at my appointment letter

Thanks guys you always wonder if you are doing things right. Sent the personal check with Dept. of Homeland Security and it was cashed. Now I have a receipt that they accepted my forms.

Sent ours on the 19th as well. No NOA yet but I think for sure it will be this week. They cashed the check (it was a personal check) so I have confirmation without waiting for the mail to send me the signed confirmation back. I would suggest everyone send their money by personal check just for this reason, plus hopefully both names are on the personal checks.

Yes they have at least accepted the application. Hopefully they took time to review a bit before cashing the check. It is up to the officer on whether to accept or deny an application and usually if they cash the check that tells you something. I think as you say they can still deny but at least they have accepted it for now. Good news.

Does USCIS tell you what biometric place you have to go? Or can you just go with the letter to any of your choosing? The reason I am asking is my son may be in Florida when we get our biometric appointments and we would like him to take it there rather than have to fly back here Pa. to have it done. People take about walk-ins so could he do that in Orlando Florida? Can we also just walk-in here in Pa rather than wait for the appointment date? Sending our I-765 today so I imagine we will get an appointment in Dec or Jan.

Well thanks that seems to say we should be fine. As stated we expire on 2/18/2011 so our 90day window opens on the 20th, yours would be tommorrow so even better. Thanks again.

We sent ours out on November 3rd. It was received on the 4th. Our check hasn't been cashed yet. No notices. I hate waiting. How long is the typical response time on I-175 forms this year?

When does your GC expire? You have to file within 90 days of that expiry. Ours is Feb 18th so we can not file till Feb 20th which is 90 days before expiry. If you file too soon they will return your application. We are sending ours on Feb 19th so they receive on the 20th.

I believe the USCIS will start requiring the new fee on any package they receive on the 23rd... that's when they establish the NOA. If you send the package tomorrow overnight, then they may process it on Monday which is the 22nd. Your window opens on the 20th so if they receive it tomorrow they will deny it and return it.

I will use USPS overnight and knew that I would be close. So they do not only go by the post date? Do you think if they do not get to it on Monday the 22nd they will send it back anyways because obviously it will be the 23rd? It says post date before the 23 or filed but it is a little vague.

My wifes GC expires Feb 18, 2011. I want to avoid the additional fees so when is the earliest I can file? Can I file today the 18th? or do I have to wait? Do the fees kick in only on the post date for mailing or also when they receive the file? Or is the post date good enough because if so I will wait till Monday the 22nd.

Yes I did that is why I was confused when I saw other posting that said they received notice that it needs to be Department of Homeland Security not US Dept.

I am getting ready to mail my application. Is the check supposed to be made out to US Department of Homeland Security or only Department of Homeland Security. Some say the first some say the former and some say they received noticed that making out to US Department of Homeland Security will not be accepted?? Mark me confused.

I am thinking about not using an affidavit. Seems like with mortage, checking accounts, drivers license, photos, etc. etc. the affidavits are almost useless. They would be for me if I was looking for prove of marriage.

Normally you would fill out the change of address so all your immigration papers will get to you. If you started your immigration with your first address and want all future mailing to go to that address then you do not need to change yuour address.

We will be filing November 18th so when the time comes I will add us to your list. Question on photos. I have a bunch but seems like overkill. Can I just photo copy some over the last two years in different places. Will it suffice? We have plenty of other information for them. Seems like a bunch of photos of us would be redundant.

You can use any of the types of payments you listed. Money order, cashiers check or a personal check as long as it is drawn on a US bank.

My son just turned 13 on November 8, 2010. We are filing petition 751 on the 18th of November. Does he need to do the biometrics? Someone mentioned that children less than 14 do not do biometrics. If that is the case I will submit only $160 for biometrics for myself and my other son who is just turning 19. Also my 19 year old is in Florida attending university. We live in Pennsylvania. When we receive appointments for the biometrics can he go to a Florida site if he is still in Florida on that date? Or does he have to return to Pennsylvania to take the biometrics. I hope not!!!!
