Uk London embassy contact
GingerZebra replied to GingerZebra's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
I don’t see how that is obvious at all. If that was obvious I wouldn’t be asking the question. To me it is obvious to get answers before I even leave home. -

I am not looking for legal advice, I have a lawyer for that. I have complicated personal things, including a physical health related matter about getting to/ having the interview that I need to discuss with someone before. -

There must be something if they are not responding to emails -
Does anyone have a number to talk to an actual person at the London US embassy? I don’t mean the one that goes to the switchboard and then automated messages and then nothing. We need to discuss something important and we are not getting replies by email! Thanks in advance

Thanks, it looks awesome! Unfortunately we really don't have much money so this probably isn't a possibility now -
K1 visa
GingerZebra replied to Emmaaem22's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
We sent everything in September 2024 and got NOA2 in March 2025 - around 6 months wait. It has only just arrived at the Embassy so another 2 months. You probably have some waiting to do still. -
k-1 visa - nvc to embassy
GingerZebra replied to GingerZebra's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Neither one changes what is shown, our daughter was 2months old when we filled the initial forms in and now has her crba and us passport so she doesn't need a visa and we never did an application for her. -

Letter of intent to marry
GingerZebra replied to Piebee's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
We included the stamps in my fiancé's passport (USC) but I didn't have any stamps in my passport so we included my CBP travel history which you get online. To back all this up we included air bnb confirmations, flight related information and car rental information. We also included moral statements - a couple of letters from people willing to swear they have seen us in person and we have stated our wish to be married etc. Out Statements for intent to marry were separate and both notarised. They were both a bit different in the fact that my fiancé kept his short and to the point like the one that has been shared before. I however included some information about how our relationship started, key moments from the point like first meeting, meeting family, visits, our daughters birth.. and what I think is more likely to occur - for example "If a k-1 Visa is granted to me, we intend to marry within the 90 days after I enter the United States. I would just want to make sure my immediate family could be there for the ceremony as it's important to both of us that out parents and other family members be present and they look forwards to seeing us married. I would get myself and my daughters dresses in the UK so that my family and friends can be part of something in case they cannot make it over to the US in the 90 day timeframe. We will do a simple ceremony to save money and make it easier to have a more flexible date considering all of his." You can 100% keep it simple, but I had read giving a little more information in a notarised statement can be useful. It probably depends on circumstances - but we didn't get any RFE's and it's now at the NVC. -
I-129F package information
GingerZebra replied to Piebee's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
That being said, this is for our case, there are other things needed to be included if relevant, such as divorce papers if that's relevant to you etc. Between sending the petition and now, our daughter now has a CRBA and a US passport, which we will be including in the next step as more evidence for support - she didn't have them at the time -
I-129F package information
GingerZebra replied to Piebee's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
We just got sent to NVC, I don't have a job and haven't for the time asked, Just put N/A on the form. Everything was packaged like this: 1. Form G-28 2. Check 3. Form 1-129F 4. 1 passport style photo petitioner 5. 1 passport style photo beneficiary 6. copy of petitioners US passport identification page 7. copy of beneficiaries Passport identification page 8. copy of birth certificate for biological daughter of petitioner and beneficiary 9. evidence showing petitioner and beneficiary intend to marry within 90 days of beneficiary entering the US as a K1 holder, including: a) statement from petitioner b) statement from beneficiary 10. evidence showing petitioner and beneficiary have met in person during 2 years preceding the filing of this petition including: a) petitioner's entry stamp in his passport showing visit to the UK b) beneficiary's CBP travel history c) Petitioner's Itinerary/boarding pass d) beneficiary's Itinerary/boarding passes and car rental confirmations e) Photos of petitioner and beneficiary together f) air bnb reservations g) Moral statements On every photo put 'beneficiary and petitioner at *place* in *location* on *date*. We only did 4 photos on standard paper, both statements were notarised. passport photos were professional. A lawyer helped with ours, so your most important dates will be first in person meeting, and most recent meeting. Show you have both travelled looks best and in my statement I gave a complete rundown of our relationship up until that point, how we met, first in person meeting, all other meetings, a key moment from each meeting, mention meeting families, explain how you felt during moments, a small amount on future plans etc. the main thing is stating you legally can and intend to marry within 90 days. This is the petition, it's what allows you onto the step where you then submit more evidence and then go for the interview where more things will be needed, you don't want to over load but you don't want to not have enough. The covering letter list everything you include, put it all in in that order and they can quickly flick through it, you dont really need to describe what everything is. -

GingerZebra replied to Nywoek's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
@hplusj could I hear a bit more about your wedding? I was also surprised when you said Vegas, but actually if it can be not 'Vegas-y' It's actually a really plausible thing for us to think about doing. You mentioned using a company ? -

k-1 visa - finances
GingerZebra replied to GingerZebra's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
2024, she is with me in the UK, I am a British citizen. Baby already has CRBA/US Passport. MIL is wanting to put her on US tax returns. - I don't know how this works tax is done differently in the UK. My fiancé/her dad is a US citizen so I figured him claiming makes sense as he has contributed financially but not MIL? This is why I asked what a household is defined as... because we will all be living in the same house for a bit as finances are tight for us but they don't file together so under one roof will actually be 7 of us (inc. myself and baby) but tax filing is separate.. we need to it the correct minimum amount. -
What is the best thing to do about proving finances? I know there is a form that needs filling out, and we will need a co-sponsor but this just brings up more questions for me. What is classed as a household - who lives under one roof, or who files taxes separate/together? Just to make it more confusing we have a baby - we are waiting on her SSN to arrive - my fiancés mum thinks they should put her on their taxes because she earned more, but I question this for the for a few reasons but mainly will it affect anything visa wise?

K1 visa NOA question
GingerZebra replied to GingerZebra's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Okay, as I thought. That letter is basically pointless then. Still was worth asking as people who are either side of me date wise on here have been moved to the next step and we are at a while already. Understand it's a long process. Just we have a baby girl and I want her to have a stable home; waiting like this is just extra difficult. Thanks for replying. -
Hi, I am confused about what is classed as an NOA. I assume NOA1 is the letter saying that the application is received. What is the NOA2? We got a letter saying that it is being processed in January, but I was under the impression an NOA2 is when it's approved for the next step? Sorry if this seems like a silly question but that 'now processing' letter seems to be ages ago, so how long does it take after that for the next step? There hasn't been any update when checking online. Thanks for any information!

Filed I130, got pregnant
GingerZebra replied to yuyul's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
No problem Hopefully it goes smoothly for you, if times add up you might be able to expedite your interviews to be on the same day too... I don't know for sure if that would be possible but it would be worth a try if it looks like they will end up being around the same time - would save you a trip!
