  2. Good days to all of u here...i need help and suggestions regarding of my problem of my birth certificate

my parents were not married and the time i am born i used my mother's surname but when i entered schooling i already used my father's surname, my credentials in school and all the ID's i have are all with my fathers family name...............because my father file for Certificate of Acknowledgement last year 2006 stating that me is his daughter..i am a illigitimate child stating my birth certificate..i went already the municipal registrar with my father last year 2006 my father file for certificate of Acknowledgement..it is state there of my new record the remarks "The surname of the child is hereby changed from "Tambis" to "Regodo".But when i got NSO again last year 2008 it doesn't change my lastname still state there of my mother surname...what should i do?please i need help....

And i found other problem of my live birth is the gender it is written male in my NSO..that gender written a male it need correction that i am a female..i can't get passport..

And how long it wil take for both problem of my surname and gender to process?and how much it cost?

If you forwarded ur birth certificate with annotations to NSO,you should always go to AREA B(NSO East Ave) everytime u make a request, because that's where you'll get your annotated BC.I also had my name changed and used the RA9048 and whenever i requested for my annotated bc,i always go to east ave. Area B to get it,i applied before to other nso offices but i just got my uncorrected bc.

    good luck.

  3. I guess u really dont love ur wife and u just want to be here permanently. How will you feel if you have kids and get custody of them and your wife's not ready to be a mother to ur kids?would it not hurt you? From what i understand, when u love somebody u will love everything in her including her kids.It seem to me that you're more concern of your gc than your marriage.grow up!as if you have a trouble mind since you dont really know where u are from, from the Phils or Armenia

  4. thanks

sorry bout the second RFE... u would think they would send everything at once.. but u will be approved in due time!!

Received e-mail notice that I-485 was approved today and card production was ordered. They say it could be 30 days until we receive green card ??

    I 485 received by USCIS on 9/2

    Biometrics 10/22

    EAD received 10/28

    Approval 12/1

There was no contact with me or listed action on their web page. Just a straight jump from Initial Review to Card Production.

    I won't complain.

hallo! Got another touch today. And the oath ceremony/ document production from yesterday went back 2 slots to decision. It's an approval right? Since I got card production notice yesterday. Guess common sense is not working today or just looking for reassurance and confirmation! Woohooo! Nervous and ecstatic!

I got an email today say Card Production Ordered!

Yesterday - Dec. 1 - I received e-mail saying we had been approved and that card will be produced and should be received within 30 days..

Today I get e-mail saying that they mailed me a notice on Dec. 1 that might have instructions and card will be received within 60 days following registration OR after we complete ADIT processing. Whatever that is.

My wife was planning on returning to see her family at the beginning of January but now I am thinking on holding off on any tickets until after green card is in her hand.

Wow a lot of approvals! CONGRATULATIONS guys! Looks like you'll be having a real nice Christmas. My interview will be on Jan 13.as for the meantime,i'm busying myself with work,I had a seasonal work at jcpenny and it ended today but got another call from the staffing that i signed up with, they got me another job that will start on monday till after Christmas at UPS.

  5. My wife had no trouble with the NSO when they printed out two birth certificates, marked "late registration" for the purposes of getting our application for marriage and later, her passport. But on my recent visit there to help her start the process of getting a spousal visa to join me here in Taiwan, where I live and work, the original document turned up, and it's a mess: her given name is misspelled, her middle name is her mother's, when it should be her mother's maiden name, etc, and the date of birth is off by two months.

How it is that this older document has turned up, no one can tell me, but it by law supersedes the newer one. Now, we are told that we must hire a lawyer, and petition the court for changes to the original document, which could take up to six months, and will cost about P15,000, about US$300.

Beside the hassle, it's a heart breaker because we want so much to get this done so that we can get on with our lives together.

Anyone have a similar experience? One piece of advice I did get is to get up to 10 copies from the NSO when things are right to avoid being haunted by an old BC with errors.

This link RA9048 might help your wife and it wont cost you much.good luck  and these are what she needs to provide in order to correct those errors Requirements

  6. My wife applied for a travel document (I-131) and recently got a notice in the mail for her biometrics appointment being scheduled this Monday in Birmingham Alabama. However, she is currently staying in the Baltimore Maryland area (the Birmingham location was the closest center to our permanent address). Anyone know if she can take the letter with her to Baltimore and get the biometrics done there or does she have to go to Birmingham? The letter says if she doesnt appear they will take it as abandoning intention blah blah. She is leaving the country next Tuesday the 8th so not much time to risk. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You can try. Otherwise you should check the box and send it back to reschedule if you can't make it. We did an INFOpass and had them reschedule and it was pretty slow in getting us a second appointment.

I agree with Aubrey. i did the same,i sent back the orig appointment to the place where we were supposed to have the biometrics, and they sent us a copy of the letters to the place where we moved,it just took them 10 days to reply and our walk-in bio were a success.good luck and happy thanksgiving :star:

  7. hello... i am on the process of my annulment too.... and my annulment time frame is six months.. will finish it by next year, last wk. of april 2010 to 1st wk. of may 2010.... yeah true 200k but i got it for 170k bcoz i was reffered by our provincial attorney here in my place.... i can give u her no. and ofc. no. in manila... just pm me if ua re interested... goodluck to ur friend....

Is that the reason why you cancelled the approved K1 petition? Because you were not yet annulled yet applied for a fiance visa? :bonk:

yeah that's right... we are doin the right thing now and i am very glad about that....

    Thank God!!!! :innocent::innocent::innocent:

and to happywifeymom, already replied u on ur pm... ur very welcome and its my pleasure to help....

so you didnt tell your fiance that you're not annulled yet and you let him filed for K1?? did u know that u tried to commit fraud? when you file again lalabas sa computer ng USEM na nag file na kayo before and they will gonna ask u kung bakit nyo pina cancel so ang isasagot mo nde kpa kse annuled and they will gonna tell you what i said "so you didnt tell your fiance that you're not annulled yet and you let him filed for K1?" sana mali ako

YES UR WRONG... OF COURSE I TOLD IT TO MY FIANCE THAT I MARRIED HERE BEFORE YES WE KNOW THAT TOO THAT'S WHY WE CANCELLED IT AND THERE ARE OTHER REASONS TOO... YEAH THEY WILL SEE IT ON THE COMPUTER BUT ITS OK, JUST TELL THE TRUTH, AND ONE THING ONLY PETITION WAS APPROVED NOT THE VISA.. WE DIDNT NEGOTIATE OR I DIDNT GO TO MY SCHED. INTERVIEW....

THE QUESTION IS.....WHY DID YOU OR YOUR FIANCE FILED FOR K1 EVEN IF YOU BOTH KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT ANNULLED YET?

HOW OLD ARE U?... AS I REMEMBER U ARE ONE YEAR AHEAD OF ME RIGHT?.... AND THINK U ARE JUST FROM LUZON TOO.... ARE U NOT AWARE THAT NSO CAN BE PAID?... ARE U NOT AWARE HOW MUCH CORRUPT OUR GOVT. IS?.... ;):P

The OP asked a question about annulment so please just stick to it!no one has the right to condemn her,she made a mistake and she corrected it by not attending to her interview sched and by filing for an annulment. It is all up to CO if she'll be approved or not,i knew a few people who did the same and they got approved.

As for the NSO,are you sure if you paid them you wont have any record of your marriage at all?just remember,it's in their system, and the system cant be PAID!Philippine government might be corrupt, you know why?it's because of the people who tolerates them, maybe you're one of them that's why you know that they can be bribed.just guessing....

  8. Correct me if i'm wrong but i know i read somewhere here that those who got that "No Derogatory Record" remark should go to NBI to get a letter from them stating about that case,or i guess it's the USEM who'll send a letter to them(NBI).If it's already been resolved, they will inform the USEM,maybe they're still waiting for the reply from NBI and once they have it,i bet they'll issue your mom's visa.as for your dad, once his medical exam expires,he'll need to re-do it again.

  9. Today I received my social security card on the mail, along with the bank cards we ordered on the same day (friday, Nov 13th)... Hubby added me to his bank account on that day. Now I have it, 7 days after applying to for the ss card and just like the lady from that office said!

Went to a store and left my information for a job and (God willing); they said to go back on monday morning... Im so happpppppyyyyyyyy hooray!

Congrats on getting ur ss card WE GOT 2 and good luck on monday morning.been looking for a job too but no luck in finding yet, hope to get one soon :star:

Sorry so late in posting received GC in mail 11/9 :)

    Congrats

Nothing here either. No emails, touches, nothing...

same here, hope to hear something soon...

  10. Aside from making an infopass,it would help if you will write all your names in your mailbox so that the mailman will deliver all your letters.it happened to my son's original bio appt letter,i also got the same email as u got,but luckily,USCIS Boise ID sent us a photocopy of our bio appt letters and those were the ones that we brought when we did our walk-in appointment here at NM.One day,I chanced upon our mailman and asked him why my son never got his letter when he used to receive it before,so he(mailman) asked for his name and looked at his box,he found it and it turned out that it was his EAD,i was so thankful i asked him otherwise it'll be sent back to its origination.

  11. hope you guys are on and can answer this ...tehy told her she was apporved and to go sign at air 21 the courier but they never gave her a pink slip...is that casue we are K-3? They did tell her she was approved....so im happy but nervous about no pink

Hi,dont worry if she wasnt given a pink slip, actually, that small piece of paper is not really a guarantee that she passed the interview,as long as they kept her passport and she paid the courier even without the "infamous" pink slip, she's ok.Congrats for the visa approval

  12. Our experience was exactly like myperfectflaw's. Absolutely painless. 10 minutes or so. The interviwer was very official at the beginning and chose (seemingly at random) several questions directed at Vika from the application. "What is your full name?" "What is your address?" "What is your father's and mother's first name?" "When is your birthday?" Then she asked if I had been previously married. She also asked what I believe to be a trick question. My wife is here on a J1 and the interviewer asked where in the states she had enrolled in school. "You're a student right? Where are you enrolled in school?" Vika corrected her stating that she was here on work/travel but was a student when she applied for the J1. She then asked if we had any further evidence we'd like to add to the file supporting a bonafide marriage. We added our cell phone records, joint-bank records and copies of my 2010 medical plan information from work that included my wife.

The mood changed when we brought out the photo album. At first she didn't look at it, but then I reminded her that it was there. She smiled when she saw pictures of my wife and my children together. Then our family photo introduced some warmth.

She closed the album midway through saying "I have to put this down or I'll end up looking through the whole thing."

We then chatted about some current events like Oprah, Rhianna and prayer in public schools being taken out of Mississippi schools. Then also about some sites we could visit in Memphis while we were there.

Her departing statment was "I'm going to go ahead an grant your application. You should recieve your card within 30 days. I hope you both have a great day."

    :)

    -Shaun

Congratulations!!! Another successful interview for Septermber filer

  13. Approved!!! Interview was completely painless. The officer person mainly just confirmed a few things like name, address, that my husband has no biological kids and hasn't been arrested and no plans to become a terrorist  Took about 10 minutes altogether. He actually approved us and then was like, "Oh yeah, do you have anything together like bank accounts?" to which I handed him the packet I brought with us. We spent an hour last night at Kinko's making copies of pictures (and dealing with incompetent employees that can't fix their own machines :bonk: ) only to have him wave them away when I tried to show him them. That's the part I was looking forward to! I think it helped matters that my 4 year old pretty much wanted nothing to do with me and lounged all over "daddy" the entire interview  So, we're done with the craziness for 2 years, woot!!

Good luck to the rest of you, hope everyone else has speedy approvals!

    Congratulations!!!

  14. Maybe because back in the Philippines, she was deprived with all those things, but it's not an excuse.everything here are expensive and she should not waste those especially the food.a lot of people are starving especially in the Philippines. It's about time you two should talk and work these things out.

  15. Thank you We Got 2.congrats for getting your interview sched in the mail.i wish u good luck .I already figured it out what was the notice that was returned to the USCIS office,it was the original biometric letters(I-765 and I-485) for my son.since we requested a transfer, the USCIS Boise ID sent us the photocopies of our new bio sched, those were the ones that we showed when we did the walk-in,however,USCIS MO sent me my original biometric appointment letter but i didnt get my son's,i dont understand why the mailman stopped putting my son's letters in our mailbox when he used to do that before, that's why when i talked to him,he acted guilty and told me to wait so he could look at the other mails in his box and found it right away

Thanks for your wishes ManilaIdaho!

Thanks God that you thought of asking him and got that letter right away! I'm also praying for you, so you could get your interview letter before November ends, you'll see that it will happen!:star:

yeah,I'm glad i asked him,and last saturday when i checked our mailbox,i found out that he wrote my last name wrong,so what i did,i wrote all our full names(son, husband and mine) in the mail box to be sure that he'll put all our mails there ;)

Interview is tomorrow morning--I feel all panicky!! I keep telling myself we have nothing to worry about, but after all we've been through to be together, the thought that we could be denied is scary! I wish I could just fast forward through the next 15 hours!!

Good luck for tomorrow myperfectflaw

Ours is tomorrow too. Good luck to you both and I hope you have a wonderful interview.

We have a 3 hour drive. All information is packed and we have our photo album included. :)

    Goodluck Shaun Cole

  16. ManilaIdaho

Looks like our time line is close to the same as yours , Larisa got her employment card in the mail today .

Hi Rutherford, yup,we have the same timeline.I already got our EAD last Thursday. The ones that was sent back at the USCIS office was my son's original biometric letter,we did a walk-in and we just showed the photocopy of the biometric letters sent to us by the USCIS Boise,Idaho, that's where I sent our AOS package.

Hope u get your biometric letter soon.

  17. (We Got 2 @ Nov 13 2009, 11:30 AM)

Thanks God! I'm so happy for you ManilaIdaho...One more thing less to worry about!!!

Thank you We Got 2.i have just checked my online status again and they touched my son's AOS but it said that the notice they sent regarding this application was returned to them AGAIN!i might ask our mailman again tomorrow why he kept on returning my son's letters when it bears the right address .it'll have an effect on his application if he'll (mailman) keep on doing that.and the thing is,he kept on putting n our mailbox the letter of the person who dont live there no more, weird!

Now it'll bug me what the notice is all about

I hope that you can resolve all this matter soon ManilaIdaho. I believe you should ask your mailman what's going on.... Is your son's name also inside the mailbox? Is interesting the fact that the real returnable mail (of the people who don't live there) he keeps on putting it there... Best of luck and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Thank you We Got 2.congrats for getting your interview sched in the mail.i wish u good luck :star: .I already figured it out what was the notice that was returned to the USCIS office,it was the original biometric letters(I-765 and I-485) for my son.since we requested a transfer, the USCIS Boise ID sent us the photocopies of our new bio sched, those were the ones that we showed when we did the walk-in,however,USCIS MO sent me my original biometric appointment letter but i didnt get my son's,i dont understand why the mailman stopped putting my son's letters in our mailbox when he used to do that before, that's why when i talked to him,he acted guilty and told me to wait so he could look at the other mails in his box and found it right away :) .
