  1. If u have a PLDT or SMART Landline with NDD,u can just dial 1-909-101-7878 and u'll easily be connected to the embassy, but if u dont have it,dial either 109 or 108 and tell the same, actually, once u tell the operator that you'll call the USEM,they already know the number ,if u want to find out right away how much, just tell the operator that u want the TIME & CHARGES afterwards, they will call u right back as soon as ur done with ur call.Or either go to the nearest pldt business office and tell them that u need their assistance to call the US Embassy.Good luck

  2. Dont worry,USCIS will change it for u.When i filled out my I-485 application,I also wrote my maiden last name as my middle name and acquired my husband's last name. But when i got my NOA1,NOA2 i noticed that they put my maiden middle name as my middle name so i called the USCIS thinking that they might correct it but i was told that my mother's last name should be my middle name.

  3. You don't know yet? Problem comes up if she files for naturalization without having filed for I-751 first.

Good thing is she caught the mistake early and she should now be receiving her new GC for free from USCIS as it is their mistake.

OP, if nothing comes in the mail in the next two weeks, make an INFOPASS appt and bring all your documents proving you were supposed to get the 2yr card.

Now is also the time to start collecting evidence for I-751 so don't throw out documents, letters, bills, pictures... you'll need it soon enough.

Thank you milimelo, yeah that's the reason why i called right away to avoid future mistakes,i dont want to just ignore it and enjoy the 10 yr gc that they mistakenly gave me and didnt apply for a removal of condition.and yes,i will make an infopass if i wont hear from them after 2wks.

    EN

I was also told to submit a new NBI with A.K.A when i had my interview at USEM and after submitting it,i got my visa after 3wks but i heard it's faster now than before so just be patient and i bet your fiancee will get her visa very soon.Congratulations on her approval too

  5. Got mine and my son's GC this afternoon,so glad to have it but when i checked the expiration date,it says 2020,so they gave us 10 yrs greencard instead of 2yrs,i already called USCIS hotline and the representative that i spoke to told me that he already reported the problem and i should be getting a reply from them thru mail in a week or two.I have read people from here that they also experienced the same thing,i wonder if they will just send us a new card or they will ask us to return the card and issue us another one

  6. Lekat! Bheng!!! Kumusta ka na friendship??? huhuhu. Miss you! Sabi ko na nga magpaparamdam ka sa topic ko!!!

  7. Happy 1st Year Wedding Anniversary to me and my hubby!!!

Im being sentimental as I write this because its one hell of a visa journey for us. It has been more than a year and I will never forget the experience. I miss my friends here and eventhough we are now busy with our new lives, rest assured that you are not forgotten.

So here I am writing something that may inspire everyone not to give up in their visa journey. When you want something really bad, you can make it happen. When you truly love someone, you will and you can move mountains.

Our marriage is not perfect. My husband and I have each our moments. But each time, we remind ourselves on how much we struggled just to be together. And that no matter what happens, no one walks away.

HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND STEPH!!! I know what you've gone through,we know that life has its ups and downs but then, who said life is easy? :star: ...here's to more adventures of a lifetime!!! CHEERS!!!

  8. finally done with the AOS interview this morning.it was just a 10mins drive from where we live and our appointment time was 11:10 but we were there as early as 10am smile.gif .at 11am a young man called my son's name and together with my husband he guided us to his office,he asked us to stand up and take an oath.afterwhich he asked for our IDs,i gave him our passports,he started with my son by asking for his original birth certificate and asked questions like if he has problems in school or anywhere my son said no then he turned to me and asked for my original birth certificate and asked the same questions that we answered on the form I-485 like if i was convicted before etc etc...which i dont have, while asking questions he was looking on all the documents that we submitted,he paused on my vaccination supplemental for a while,i thought he will ask for mine and my son's I-693 and our follow up vaccination records here in the US,but he didnt say anything, instead he told us that he didnt see any problem with the docs that we submitted,he also explained to us that they will still review it and if everything's ok they will send us an approval letter and maybe after 2-6wks the green card will come in the mail.Basically,it was a very smooth interview that lasted only for less than 10mins,in fact,we asked him a lot of questions than he did :)

All in all he just asked for our passports and orig birth certificates,he asked for our EAD cards but i told him i will have a job interview soon and that's the only ID i have,so he told me that once we receive our GCs we can always go back in the office and turn it over to him.

  10. Before I got here,i used to dream of playing on the snow.and i experienced it when we lived in Idaho, after that,i told my husband i dont want it no more since it's too cold, and though we had a heater,we cant use it that much since his son in law whom we used to live, was like a polar bear,he loved sleeping with the AC on the whole day  .We're now in Abq,New Mexico and i love the weather here, there's still snow but it doesnt last for long.and because we live in an apartment where all utilities are paid,I could turn on the heater whenever i get cold without worrying about the electric bill :D

  11. Congratulations Freyja,We Got 2,ILUVv and Martin and Raven for receiving ur GCs and for ur approvals  .Good luck for those who will be having an interview soon.

  12. I'm not from the PI but I don't understand this -- is this considered to be normal? Do all American men married to Pinay women send money back to the PI on a regular basis? Surely your wife's family survived before you came along? Why are you expected to give them a weekly allowance all of a sudden? ESPECIALLY when you're not a millionaire and it is to your own financial detriment. I'm shocked that your wife would behave in such a childish and petulant manner. Why can't she get a job? If you are you "cheap" if you don't help out, I'd say she's lazy and irresponsible.

I mean it's one thing to send money if there's an emergency or a shortage of funds all of a sudden in a dire situation or Christmas gifts and such-- that's a different thing. I get that. But this is absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER except my husband to be obligated for my family's upkeep. Ensure she understands how much you make and what your cost of living is--bills, gas, rent, etc. People arriving from poorer countries often have NO idea how HIGH the cost of living is in the U.S. or what the real value of a $ is. $20,000 per annum probably sounds like a ton of money to them.

Money doesn't grow on trees. Things like this make me extremely angry.

Sorry if I butted in where I don't belong.

No.My husband never sent my family money, not even once,we're tight in money ourselves and my family understands this.Even when i was working in a big company back in PI,my family never asked money nor told me to support them.I know how hard it is to live here,I have a seasonal job right now and i help in paying the bills.Maybe the OP's wife is jealous with what she heard about her friends sending money to the Phils that's why she wants to do it also without thinking how much it will hurt their budget. Also,by sending them money regularly, they will not work harder and will just wait every "payday".And maybe her family expects her to send them money since she's now living in the USA and has an american husband whom they think is RICH

  13. Some people in the waiting area told me... " you shouldn't answer him. Instead, you should've shut up and just nod." but i told them, why should i? I know what i was saying was true. It was him who was bluffing about the site. and putting words in my mouth and jumping to wrong conclusions without even giving me the chance to say more about it.

You said you have told all the truth but it seems that you're so worried about something. You didnt give us information regarding on how did the interview go and what's up with the SITE that the consul bluffed about? Some people here were also put in an AP and got their visa after sometime. If they keep your passport, you will just have to wait till they issue you your visa.Just be patient.
