  1. Thank you, I really appreciate it. I was very worried today.
  2. I-130 already asked this question. If asked why only listed 1 divorce on I-130 then asked again about DS260, should I tell them I didn't know? I am the one who filled out everything.
  3. My wife got a notarized document saying that she has custody of older daughter at gong zheng chu in China. Here's the issue, on I-130 I only filled out 1 divorce for previous marriage which was on 2016 Feb, 19. The notarized document above(custody paper) states that my wife was married to her previous spouse on 2010 Aug, 26 then divorced at 2016 Feb, 19. The reality is that my wife was married on 2010 Aug, 26 and divorced on 2013 Jul, 17. Then She remarried the same person on 2016, Feb, 18th, divorced on 2016 Feb, 19th. They did this because the younger daughter needed to be on a family book. I am now filling out DS 260 and it asks for all previous marriages and divorces. Should I fill out the gap in 2 divorces or leave it as 1? The notarized document for custody does not show the gap, I assume this custody notarized paper will be needed for interview. Please help, I'm completely lost when I found out about this.
  4. On the USCIS site, under birth certificate section, if my stepchild lives abroad, the passport is required. Does that mean if my daughter is living in other countries than China(home country) or anywhere other than US is abroad? A National ID and household registration (Hu Kou Bu). If the applicant lives abroad, a copy of his or her passport is also required.
  5. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it.
  6. Thank you for your reply, would it be okay to upload the birth certificate produced from family book AND birth certificate? Would that do more bad than good?
  7. I was able to look at multiple birth certificate and some of them have been through same process. None of them have a hand signature. Thank you for your input.
  8. So go ahead and send in the birth certificate with its notarized part? It states that one only gets one chance at RFE.
  9. China, there are seals and stamps but there’s no actual signature.
  10. I received a RFE for birth certificate and USCIS asks that the birth certificate must include the following: 1. be registered and issued by an appropriate civil authority in the country of birth, 2. Show the name of the child, date and place of birth, and parent(s) names, 3. Include the date of registration, seal of the issuing office, and signature of the registrar. The document has everything but a signature of the registrar, the document is original and was issued back when the kid was born in 2008. Is the signature of the registrar a hand written signature? What can I do if it doesn’t have one?
  11. Thank you guys(and gals), I will rescan everything via iPhone and submit more legible pdfs.
  12. Would it be okay if I submitted translated pages in back and white but also add original(not translated) documents in color?
  13. Hi guys and gals, I got a RFE to resubmit evidence for marriage certificate and birth certificate. I ran into a problem as scanning pictures became too dark, if I tried to adjust the color, the text becomes too faint. Is it acceptable to take a picture with an iPhone then insert it to scanned pages? The background for scanned pages are obviously black and white but the photo taken page has slight variations. Will USCIS accept this?
  14. Thank you pushbrk, I will study the I-864, didn’t know there’s separate instructions.
  15. Hi guys, I was thinking about submitting new evidences like phone FaceTime logs, and in vitro fertilization proof from the hospital for submitting Unsolicited evidence. Does anyone know if this would help the case? We’ve waited for about a year now. For 864, will the USCIS ask for bank deposits or just your tax forms? I’m thinking maybe I should deposit any excess cash instead of spending it directly. Please help, the whole process is very stressful. 😣
