  1. Omg, thank you everyone. This saved me, I would have submitted the wrong one.
  2. Hi Pushbrk, I'm not good with tax forms so I will post images. https://postimg.cc/xkwNhw7G https://postimg.cc/rdBR3Bbx Is there anyway to post images? Or is posting links allowed? The 2 links above are tax transcript and 1040 for 2024.
  3. I forgot to clarify that the tax return numbers are taken from the site I did my taxes.
  4. Tax Transcript shows: Adjusted gross income: $46,741.00 Taxable income: $25,713.00 Tax per return: $9,961.00 SE taxable income taxpayer: $46,446.00 SE taxable income spouse: $0.00 Total self employment tax: $7,106.00 Return due date or return received date (whichever is later): 04-15-2025 Processing date: 05-12-2025 The above is all numbers dealing with amount, rest is just dates and personal info. Tax Return shows: Line 9 is amount of 50,294$ Line 11 is amount of 46,741$ I thought line 9 amount of 50,294% would show up on tax transcript but I couldn't find it. Something must be wrong. Should I just enter $46,741 for I-864?
  5. Hi guys, Which number should the petitioner enter as income for i-864? Line 9 from tax return or adjusted gross income from tax transcripts?
  6. Thank you for clearing things up. Much appreciated.
  7. Hi Gabriel, Thanks for the input. My dad usually sleeps at both his work and the place I live at. All his mail comes to the location I’m at. I forgot to add that my wife owns a home abroad and has 2 cars under her name. It’s getting more scary out there. But I have a clean record. I have asked around for joint sponsors but no definitive yes, my American friends have never dealt with this before so it’s completely new stuff for them.
  8. Hi guys and gals, I am sponsoring my wife and stepchild. It says that for 2025, income requirement for 125% of family of 3 is about 33,000. Past 3 years I have made the following: 2023 - 41,014$ 2024 - 50,294$ 2025 - 43,000$(roughly, not filed yet). The numbers above are from line 9 of tax return. my income source is mainly from Uber/Lyft and some in cash. Is this enough or will I get denied? right now I live in Philadelphia. I only have 3k in savings(over 2 months). I can save up to 10k but it’s only about 6 months old during the interview. I read that it needs to be 1 year at least. Should I continue to save? how does I-864A work? If I file for family of 3 now then I can’t ask for my dad to file I-864A later?
  9. Married first visit, first time together was almost 2 years
  10. I don’t know how to use the timeline thing as I’m on mobile. China.
  11. Hi guys, I want to visit my spouse overseas, I’m thinking 13-15 days. Is this long enough? I’d assume longer the better but the petitioner also have to worry about income requirements.
  12. I can’t express in words how much I wish to thank you. I got so paranoid I even thought about applying for jobs at consulate if worst possible happens. 🙏
  13. Hi appleblossom, I filed both I-130s for my wife and stepdaughter at the same time. Now the case is at NVC, need to send in my 864 and tax info. I read that amends take a while. Does anyone know if IRS website's tracking of "amend received" is suffice for NVC? Or do I have to wait until amend is done. I know if I don't prove that I amended, NVC will likely RFE.
  14. I know I will probably get an RFE if I only upload my tax returns(since it says I filed single) to NVC, should I wait for the amended tax return or can I send in photos of 1040x before I send it to IRS?
  15. Will the tax return transcripts change? Or will the Consulate still see that I initially filed as single? I don't really mind the money, I just want to be with my wife.
  16. Is there anything I can do? Will the issue persist even if I amend?
  17. I am filing 864 right now. I looked at my last 2 years(I only have 2), and saw that I filed as single instead of married. Should I amend this with IRS? Will this be an issue with NVC during the interview?
  18. Thanks again, really appreciate your time.
  19. My wife just called the court and was able to get a hold of the judge and she said that court issued document is final, cannot be changed. These dates were given to the court by my wife and her ex husband, so this is not even courts mistake at this point.
  20. Thank you for the quick reply and import. When does the NVC look at the paper for custody?
  21. Thank you guys, I will post the actual dates. I went back and looked for the source of error. Gong Zheng Chu from China only translates stuff as is, so its not their mistake. The actual mistake came from court ordered document. I had asked my wife to gain custody of the older child by taking the father to court. The court made error of only including the marriage date of first marriage and divorce date of 2nd marriage. Should I ask her to go through the court processes again to get a paper with both marriage/divorces?
  22. Thank you, I really appreciate it. I was very worried today.
  23. I-130 already asked this question. If asked why only listed 1 divorce on I-130 then asked again about DS260, should I tell them I didn't know? I am the one who filled out everything.
  24. My wife got a notarized document saying that she has custody of older daughter at gong zheng chu in China. Here's the issue, on I-130 I only filled out 1 divorce for previous marriage which was on 2016 Feb, 19. The notarized document above(custody paper) states that my wife was married to her previous spouse on 2010 Aug, 26 then divorced at 2016 Feb, 19. The reality is that my wife was married on 2010 Aug, 26 and divorced on 2013 Jul, 17. Then She remarried the same person on 2016, Feb, 18th, divorced on 2016 Feb, 19th. They did this because the younger daughter needed to be on a family book. I am now filling out DS 260 and it asks for all previous marriages and divorces. Should I fill out the gap in 2 divorces or leave it as 1? The notarized document for custody does not show the gap, I assume this custody notarized paper will be needed for interview. Please help, I'm completely lost when I found out about this.
