i dont call the uscis and harass them i talk to them nicely and they talk nicely also.. i dont demand answers.. i ask them do u have any idea or a guess on when they might call me for the interview..and they give me their answer or their guess they dont attack me or become rude..and also shaasti i did apply for my husband ASAP after getting married and his case is pending his PD is not current infact i mentioned that the PD for relative petitions went BACKWARDS A YEAR AND A HALF or else he would have been here by now,,its up to immigration to move forward or stay stuck or go behind and they went behind!! then when moving forward they were getting stuck in the same month over and over..its been 5 years do u belive this? i am doing something about i filed the n-400 so i can update his case status and get him here faster. meanwhile they r giving citizenship to people who applied in march may june2008 rather then me whos waiting nov2007.so before u can say "do something about this ur a grown woman" what do u think i am doing? if what i just explained to u seems like im not doing anything then please tell me what u think i should be doing i would be thankful.

thats a bunch of baloney about how they r soOOo stressed out cuz of the exceedingly wicked year they had in june 2007 when the fees went up. how the heck r u going to say that when people in front of u who applied in march2008 r citizens now within 90 days? WHY arent these people with us people who r given reasons waiting long? why do we have to be told to understand that the waiting time long due to the rise of applications when at the same time the may2008 folks r citizens? im just so pissed off i hate how this is working.

im annoyed at how people who filed in 2008 r citizens in a short period of time. i applied in nov2007 im still waiting how annoying is that? my application is not complex its simple so why am i waiting so long not only that but my background was cleared 4 months ago and the computer is looking for an interview date for me and still hasnt found it how lovely!

here is my timeline: I sent my N400 application to VSC in 04/05/2008 ,my PD is 04/08/2008. I got my FP done in 04/29/2008 and received my IL yesterday . The IL is dated 06/02/2008. My interwiew and oath are in 07/29/2008 in NEWARK.

well what do u think about what the IO said to me when i called? ill repeat it incase u dont remember.,, he said after the fingerprints they allow 90-130 days before they give u the IL so urs should be this month since ur fingers cleared in febuary2008,,since they all say a diff thing this guy told me this so what do u think am i gona get it this month or is he messing with my head??

thanks alot that was nice of u to actual care enough to tell me and wish me..yes however i did wish many times if i were a kid again i would wish upon a star,,throw quaters in a wishing well..blown on birthday cake candles..but i do alot of special prayers through out the entire day..before sleeping i pray for it..i've asked my son to pray for me to get this so we can live in our own home with his dad..(hes 3 years old now ) i have prayed..harassed the uscis by calling them. and i called them twice today asked the same question,, i filed in nov2007 its almost 7 months i took my finger prints and were cleared very quickly so how much do i wait now..the IO said after fingerprints clear they put u inline for the interview which is between 90-130 days..he claims i should be getting a letter this month..he sounded confident..so...........im gona call them next week and ask the same question again till i get the IL.. ur right time does pass by but i feel im wasting time by not being with my husband..not sleeping with him not waking up each day with him..him not watching his son go to the playground for the first time..all those r things that i feel hes missing out on..i remember this one day when i was with him..we went to the area of the mall where they had rides for kids and we were watching our son for the first time going on it laughing and having a blast. so moments like that u know? HOWEVER my dad being a psycho/bipolar/ocd i get a little impatient .

still waiting my oath letter....

We filed in March, and not a word, update, or even touching our case. Could be the DHS, CIA, FBI, ATF, DEA, USSS, USMS. and the GSA, that's the Girl Scouts of America are all doing background checks on us.

my background check cleared 3 months ago i am all clear so what r they waiting for an invitation actually im waiting for the interview invitation letter for heavens sake..

thats what i say..up 2u though i wouldnt do such a thing it might take 4ever to get another IL or perhaps they might 4get u and u will have to remind them who u r..

i talked to the IO and she said that the computer puts ur name in queued and gives u the interview date is that true? i asked her what about the local office dates? so she said not everyones background check clears on time so they put others ahead so tell me what u think about this??????cus everyone seems to say diff things im waiting for my IL i applied in nov2007 as u all know since i bring it up so often LOL

What do you all think? I sent in the N-400 on May 15, check was cashed on May 22, and I still have not received anything in the mail; no NOA, no Biometrics Appointment.

Does this seem unusual? Is this something that I could call the 1-800 number about and expect to get any kind of useful anyswer?

if u want to get technical its a 90 days period u may get it between that time so u cant go and have an attack that u didnt hear anything cuz ur still within that waiting period..

Actually, flavaofsummer, the USCIS has access to the airline database, and if any name pops up that matches a name in the N-400 database, that is when they schedule an interview. So if you really want your interview to be scheduled, by an airline ticket.

All you do is register the birth at the nearest US Consulate, and they will issue a US passport for the child, you can then request a Certified Copy of a Consular Report of Birth Abroad from DOS proving US Citizenship.

N-600 not needed unless you dont report the birth abroad, and immigrate the child, and then claim citizenship for the child.

r both parents supposed 2be usa citizens in order to claim the baby as american or can one parent be a usa citizen and still have the baby claimed as american...

I am getting ready all the paperwork to send to the immigrations. They want leases, mortgages, bank accounts, I also have beneficiaries, unsurances, taxes. Should I send all that? I apply based on our almost 4 marriage.

Is it safe to send bank accounts statements, since the bank account numbers are shown on the statements. Also is it safe to send the whole mortgage contract or just 1st page. I am getting ready to send everything but not sure. Do I ned to block the account numbers or any other info like that. You never know the emploee there, Sounds silly , I know but better be silly now than sorry later.

they keep saying ur case is under regular processing months so u have to give us a call back if u dont get the IL within the normal processing months which is 7 months.so over all they r saying wait 7 months..why do they say this? in mid june it will be 7 months ..they dont explain why they r saying this but just repeat that ur case is in the normal 7 month period if u dont hear anything call us..did anyone hear about this or do u know whats the deal? they confuse me cus when i ask dont u go by the local office dates they say yes we do so which is it? it cant be two things at once its one or the other????? how is this?

I think the verbiage is just standard that USCIS customer service keep saying ... if it helps you better, you might want to keep checking every 2-3 weeks via phone on the 1800 #.... just my 2cents

yes ur right thats what i have been doing and i called them and they said u should talk to us the IO on the phone we have more info about ur case cuz no one can see my case#number except them. but thanks for ur advice i totally agree with u

thats so messed up no wonder u understand my problem!!!!!!no i dont trust him with my baby or my 3 year old son and he doesnt go try to beat them down but has done harmful stuff like.. he gave my son a glass to go put in the kitch..a kid could call break the glass and hurt himself..he let him play with money in change and clearly pointed out his mouth and said ohh dont put this in ur mouth like this..so obviously the kid knows now how to do this since he showed him ..when my son wakes up hes like do u want ice cream i get so pissed off..he gives him candy at times which is not candy time he should eat food..in winter he used to ask my son to come in to the sink and watch him shave while letting him get wet head to toe with the water..he got a 103temp once i eneded up in the emergency..

Every type of visa has a processing timeline. Evidently they haven´t gotten to your month yet. You have to wait until a certain time has passed before you can start asking and pressuring them about your visa. So you haven´t passed that time yet. You have to wait longer. If you don´t get a notice by mail by then, then you can call them back.

Oh, flavaofsummer, each passing day must be like an eternity to you waiting to get your husband here, then have to be a US citizen first before you can even apply. Most of us here are already US citizens and had quite a wait to bring our mates here, I certainly don't envy your situation and know how it feels for each passing day to be an eternity. Even hired the best US immigration law firm I could find, but was told to wait.

We are not nearly in the hurry today for citizenship for my wife, we are finally together, but just getting on the case status site with current applications dated October 30, 2007 is one thing. But that note above stated that applications have more than doubled since July of 2007, your actual processing date may be extended from 13-15 months certainly isn't helpful. But how can anyone here explain that when the USCIS itself cannot give consistent numbers?

Guess all we can give is sympathy and can only ask, is coming here really worth it? Yes, I asked myself that question many times as well but like most of us here, am not filthy rich so also have to work to make a living.

Recall another time in my life when time seemed endless, after a long exhausting day in our military would get assigned all night guard duty. Wouldn't dare close your eyes for a second, no mercy, fall asleep and end up in the stockade. Would so some mental math, in 1702 days, this will be all over, not a good thought. Would turn up to the heavens, wonder if there is a God and pray to Him for strength to get through this, also had the support of my buddies, also in the same boat. But it's history now, time has a way of passing. Believe you have children and a family here to support you and while things seem miserable, try and find some beauty on this earth. Time will pass, it always does.

i knew u would reply..thanks its not just the husband thing,,things here r crazy my dad has signs of being bi-polar + i think he has OCD too so its very very difficult living with someone who makes loud noises and wakes my kids up knowing we all r walking on our tippy toes and muting the TV with all this he sees he still throws things rips his bills up turns on all the lights screams talks loud on the top oh his lungs and stays in the kitchen banging pots and pans seriously with mad loud noise even though he sees a baby sleeping he still goes and does this...i ask myself why would anyone do this when they SEE a kid asleep why? i dont know! if the baby wakes up i have to stay awake with a crying baby while these folks sleep all comfy.. i just want to be in my own home with my kids where they can be in their room and i dont have to worry about anyone waking them up or giving them candy and ice cream during breakfast lunch or dinner..okies well this has a HUGE PART to do with why im waiting for the IL a HUGEEEEEE PART! no he doesnt take medication cus he thinks theres nothing wrong with him he says we r the ones who have issues.

i have seen and experienced this personally about and with the government.. everyone gives u a different answer the only way to find out is to take the risk..im seriously talking about this cuz i dont wana get into details but to get some info i needed i called and asked diff folks in the government and ll had diff answers and they all sounded sure of each of their answers lol so u know what u dont surprise me..
