  1. Thank you very much for taking the time to provide such a thoughtful and informative response.
  2. I am not an Italian/EU citizen. I want to travel to Italy with my American passport.
  3. Hello - I am a naturalized U.S. citizen and plan to travel to Italy soon to visit my sister. I have already booked my two-week trip and expect to receive my U.S. passport tomorrow. Could you please advise me on how to prepare for international travel to Italy? Do I need to complete any forms or registrations in advance? Besides my passport, are there any other documents (bank statements, etc...) I should carry with me? Would it be helpful or necessary for my sister to write a letter confirming that she will be hosting me during my stay? I would appreciate any additional tips or suggestions to ensure a smooth trip.
  4. Hello- My naturalization ceremony took place last Wednesday, on July 23. I received my Certificate of Naturalization at the ceremony and submitted it with my U.S. passport application. My passport was issued on Friday, and I am expecting to receive it tomorrow. Today, I noticed a new message on my USCIS portal stating: "On July 28, 2025, we issued your Certificate of Naturalization for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IO*****. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."** It also shows that my case is now closed. I am a bit confused—why does it say the certificate was issued on July 28 when I already received it on July 23? Should I be expecting any additional documents from USCIS?
  5. Thank you. First page: Please bring the following with you: This notice with Page 4 completed. Please refer to instructions below. All Permanent Resident Cards ("green card") that you may have, valid or expired. All Reentry Permits or Refugee Travel Documents that you may have, valid or expired. Any other documents USCIS issued to you that you may have, such as employment authorization cards, valid or expired. The second page is blank. It would be Ok? Thanks.
  6. Hi everybody, I have been scheduled to attend the ceremony in July, but I have not yet received the official notice by mail yet. It's not too late and I may still wait, but I would like to ask if it would be acceptable to print the attached oath ceremony notice from my USCIS online account and bring it with me to the ceremony in place of the mailed copy. Thanks.
  7. Today, I noticed that my case from "Oath Ceremony will be officially scheduled" turned in ""Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS"! What does it mean?
  8. Thank you. I also looked at you timeline and thank you for sharing that. Can you update when you got the notice online? It must be after your N400 approval on 2018-04-10.
  9. Hi everyone, I recently (two weeks ago) had my naturalization interview and was placed in line for the oath ceremony. I'm now waiting for my Oath Ceremony Notice (Form N-445). I was wondering: Has anyone here received their oath ceremony date and location through their USCIS online account (under "Documents")? Or did you only get the notice by regular mail? I am trying to figure out if I should expect to see something posted in my USCIS account first, or if it usually just comes by mail without showing up online. Thank you very much for sharing your experiences — and best of luck to everyone waiting!
  10. Thank you very much.
