  1. Good morning-afternoon We waited as well. We finally received an email on Saturday from NVC telling us to go onto Usvisaappt.com to pay the visa fee and schedule. The email came to the petitioner so please check the email used on the visa application. Godspeed!!!!
  2. We confirmed the visa application fee is paid at the embassy through an email response from the consulate. A month after filing our DS-160 visa application, we contacted the embassy to check the timeframe since we didn't hear anything. Their response was "we'll contact you ". It's very frustrating however waiting is part of this process--unfortunately. "Be flexible be miserable" is 100% right!!! Our plan is the moment we get the pre-screening appointment email, we'll do the medical exam and have our documents ready for review. Godspeed!!!
  3. Hi. I found out in Ghana we have to wait for a pre-screening interview appointment to have all our documents reviewed and pay the visa fee. If at that time we have all the documents the visa interview will happen. I was able to get a response back for the embassy with this information. We're still waiting on the pre-screening interview to be scheduled. Thanks for checking in.
  4. HI Senufo! Curious what happened at your interview? Hope all went well.
  5. Hopefully we get to meet a consular officer. Unclear at this point. Thanks.
  6. I'm glad it worked for you. I'm not waiting in instructions on how to use the system. K1 is still not showing up as a visa category therefore we can't pay the visa fee nor schedule appointment. Though we've sent numerous emails to the embassy and website as well as several helpdesk tickets K1 is still not an option. I even called the customer service line and was walked through the process for them to also be surprised K1 was not option. Their response was to submit a helpdesk ticket. This is extremely frustrating since there is no feedback beyond telling me to stop submitting tickets on the same issue however I don't know what else to do. The I-129f petition expires on 22 February 2025 and soon so will the DS-160. I feel quite frustrated and somewhat disheartened.
  7. Yes, I'm using the site. Where do I find information that they will schedule the interview date? Thank you for responding.
  8. Edward and Jaycel... I appreciate the response however its also not under immigrant visas. Thanks.
  9. Hello everyone- DS-160 completed today. We tried to pay the visa fee and schedule the embassy interview on the site www.usvisaappt.com as directed from ustraveldocs. K1 is not listed under non-immigrant visas therefore I cannot move beyond choosing a visa category. Is anyone else having this issue? Am I looking in the wrong place? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as our approved petition expires 2/28/2025. Thank you in advance.
  10. I had no idea. Thank you for sharing.
  11. I hadn't realized that at time. Thanks.
  12. Exactly. Our passport photos were taken within 30 days of the application. If I waited for new passport pictures, we would have had to wait until my next trip in November. Thanks.
  13. The instructions indicate the photos have to be taken within 30 days of applying. Thank you for your feedback.
  14. Thank you for the correct information.
  15. Thank you for the correct information. Thank you.
  16. Understandable. Any suggestions for what to include for show a preponderance of evidence beyond trip verification and pictures? Thank you. Thank you for feedback.
  17. I filed because I was concerned about the dates of our photos being submitted within 30 days of them being taken. I do realize at this time the fiance visa is the most appropriate and that it'd be voided if we married. Thank you for your feedback.
  18. I'm new to the immigration process, so please point out the red flags you are referring to. Thank you.
  19. Thanks for your feedback. By strong case, what do you mean?
  20. Happy Sunday! I'd love your advice on my situation. Met my guy in Accra in February 2023. Friends until we decided to be more in October 2023. We became engaged in April 2024 and filed the I-129F in June 2024. Since meeting in 2023, I've visited twice and will return in November. We have a 22 year age gap with me being the older one. Neither of us have been married nor have children. He's a Muslim and I'm considering reverting/converting (which was in the works prior to meeting him). We've heard the Accra embassy is tough on older-younger relationships and slow in their processing. Though we've also heard K1 processing is faster. We've heard we'd have to be married for two years before applying for the spousal visa. We're trying to figure out which is the better route....time wise and for likely approval. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  21. Is this timeline accurate for countries known for fraud like Ghana, Nigeria, etc?
