  1. Hang in there, gents! I personally went the K-1 route. For my fiancée and I, starting our life together side-by-side asap is a higher priority than time to green card in hand. I believe multiple K-1 visa applications are allowed. You would need a waiver if the previous K-1 application was within the last 2 years. You wouldn't have to worry about that since it's been quite some time since your last K-1 application. If you search the forums, you'll find few folks that have gone through multiple K-1 filer process successfully. I highly doubt the age gap would be an issue. It's pretty common in PI. I think you'll be okay with either K-1 or CR-1 as long as you provide sufficient evidence.
  2. Here are some data points from USCIS that show processing times: Historic Processing Times (uscis.gov) Processing Times (uscis.gov)
  3. For the Philippines, police clearance is issued by the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation). If this is your first request for NBI clearance, you can register and apply online. During the online application process, you'll set up an appointment to complete fingerprinting and take a photo. The document will be printed and given to you at the appointment. If you've requested NBI clearance in the past and have the document in your possession, you can request a new NBI clearance online and have it delivered to your address. 4. I personally would wait to file. VisaJourney member timelines show recent K-1 filers receiving approval in as little as 60 days. I am not sure where you got 8-24 months from.
  5. Hello. Interviews for all visas are held at the Manila Embassy. The Consulate in Cebu offers U.S. citizenship services only (e.g. passport renewal, etc).
  6. Here are the transfer request details for U.S. Embassy Manila: https://ph.usembassy.gov/case-transfer-request/
  7. I believe you need to contact the Embassy you wish to transfer your case to and follow their instructions for transfer.
  8. Congrats! I am submitting my fiancée's K-1 petition this week. I hope it's approved as quick as yours.
  9. It depends. Filipino airline carriers such as Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines will allow you to pre-pay during ticket reservation. Your airline ticket receipt will reflect the travel tax. The non-Filipino airlines do not have this option and you will need to pay at the airport kiosk.
  10. Hello, I read the K1 visa guide which was extremely helpful but wanted to double check with the experts on this forum that I have enough evidence to prove in-person meeting and on-going relationship requirements. For the photos, I plan to include 3 photos of my fiancé and I together from the following locations: Manila, Cebu, Tagaytay, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Some of the photos are with our families. Is there anything I am missing that I should add? • Airline ticket stubs from Petitioner’s visit to Manila • Airline ticket stubs from Petitioner and Beneficiary visit to Cebu, Indonesia, and Hong Kong • Airline ticket receipts from all visits mentioned above (Manila, Cebu, Indonesia, Hong Kong) • Petitioner and Beneficiary passport stamps related to the air travel mentioned above • Indonesia visa issued to Petitioner and Beneficiary by Indonesia Immigration • Hong Kong entry permit issued to Petitioner and Beneficiary by Hong Kong Immigration • Hotel, resort, Airbnb, Hong Kong Disneyland booking confirmations/receipts from Petitioner and Beneficiary travels • Receipts of engagement ring, Starlink, lunch/dinner dates, movie tickets • Photos of the Petitioner and Beneficiary together with date and location written on the back of each photo • Instagram messages and video call logs showing proof of ongoing relationship Thank you in advance! -Spicy Chickenjoy
