  2. "Massachusetts high school student" Are they really trying this again? Semantics is the heart of the culture war, I swear.

  4. Oh yeah I'm aware that they are entering Approved status, which whittles away at the Interviews Scheduled. Unfortunately the replacement rate from Processing isn't there, which is a very opaque status that covers a lot of stages in the process (post-biometrics, post-RFE, post-interview sometimes). Adding approved and interview scheduled together creates a picture of movement towards completion, since an overwhelming majority of interviews result in approval within 60 days. That's the in-group that we are all trying to reach. Send my best to Jaycel, we will all be celebrating this summer, I hope and pray!
  5. Another exercise in futility from last night: I started charting just the case numbers from our filing date of October 28th, which is a total of 107 cases. Tracking the updates via timelines, I am able to discern how long it took for each case to receive an RFE, get an interview scheduled, or process a decision. Additionally, I can see the cases that have received approvals without interviews (there are 6 out of the 107, so they do still happen sparingly), as well as see that some interviews HAVE been scheduled since May 15th, which is when I started seeing net negatives for that status. Unfortunately the number of cases stuck in active review are at a quarter, with the total at least with an interview scheduled if not approved, over half. So we're on the lower end of the bell curve for our day. Even still, to see interviews slowly trickle in still is a bit of a silver lining. I will continue to monitor and teeter on the brink of insanity in doing so.

  10. @tinubiyi @Edward and Jaycel you guys are too kind. Thank you for your positivity. <3
  11. Parolees definitely require contingency plans. Even a parent of a naturalized citizen will take some time to process AOS. I wish you the best with that and advise you seek specialized help with a new thread so you can get the unique situation reviewed.

  14. That's what I like about you E/J, your pragmatic approach. The interview scheduled status has been in a negative dip since the 14th, which was 2 1/2 weeks ago. That's a long haul. Although I've been predicting June since we submitted the app back in October, I'm starting to lose hope that was accurate. Jon's birthday is in June, it would be an amazing birthday gift just to get the interview scheduled. Just putting that out there into the universe, hoping it catches.
  15. Sadly, that just confirms that they're not working to bring people out of processing and into interviews again.

Today's stats: May 31, 2025 7:24am CDT October 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 11,935 (+150) • Denied 1373 (+5) • Fingerprint Scheduled: 85 (0) • Interview Cancelled: 387 (+1) • Interview Scheduled: 10,317 (-179) • Processing: 15,966 (+14) • Received: 421 (0) • Rejected: 96 (0) • RFE: 522 (0) • Terminated: 181 (+1) • Withdrawal: 58 (0) • Others: 9 (0) Percentage of cases approved: 29% Percentage of cases interview scheduled: 25% Processing status rises? What would cause that, at this stage? My guess is that it's a post-interview status for some people, either momentarily (it's early still) or to path them towards denial. I think my previous theory on balancing the scales is out the window. However, with a focus on how many approvals we're at, I'm going to hope that a new wave of interviews is set to be scheduled soon. Other than November, I'm pausing to look at newer months. It can be extremely disheartening and negative when one starts comparing.

  19. It's good to see the trend of negatives hasn't been consistent for November. Can't wait for October to get out of this lull.

What happens when the former passes the latter? Will we start seeing more interviews? ..or did I just jinx it

  25. I'm not trying to diminish the experiences of others but again, these are extreme exceptions to the rule. There is a good reason for people to get screened regularly. If the screenings were moot and cancer just was unpredictable and undetectable most of the time, they would not be recommended as they are. We are talking about a high-profile person with REGULAR yet UNDISCLOSED medical examinations for four years. The likelihood that this was a new discovery when we have a trail of evidence as long as Abe Lincoln's arm is ridiculous to me. The office of the president is not a trivial position. It depends on the health and competence of the person who fills it. Until the medical examination records are disclosed, there is absolutely no way I can accept the given narrative at face value.
