  1. Hi all.  Filed on-line Mar 28.  Marriage based green card from 2012.   Received a receipt (Form I-797C Notice of Action) and "reuse of biometrics" within a couple of days of application.   Notice Date May 9th they have scheduled my interview for June 11.   I am an Oregon filer.  I am in southern Oregon.  The Portland Field Office is working my file.   My interview is in the Medford Jackson County Library (2 1/2 hrs away).  Better than Portland which is about 6-7 hours away.   They list items to bring in the letter.  The items that apply to me are:

    the interview letter

    green card

    passport

    marriage cert

    spouse birth cert

originals of docs that I submitted online to support my N400 application

    Good luck to all !

Why are you applying under 3 year rule and not under 5 year rule? The latter is much easier.

Honestly, the further I go the more confused I get.  My GC expires at the end of the year.  I started the online app in March.  I answered the online eligibility questions, uploaded the required evidence and tried to re-create my VJ info from 10+ years ago because I couldn't find it anymore.  The more I read the more confused I get.   Some people say the more extra evidence you provide the smoother the approval process goes.  So I read the USCIS N-400 Instructions for App for Naturalization and have been working through the "documents to bring with you to your interview".   You could be right I may fall into the 5 year "easy" category because we've been married for over 11 years now.  But as I said, the further I go I can't remember where I read stuff and can't put my fingers on previous notes etc. and end up chasing myself around.   I just realized the bank we deal with only puts the Primary name of our bank accounts on our statements.  These accounts have been joint since we moved here almost nine years ago and now I see they are actually useless for immigration as they don't show as JOINT.  Ridiculous.   Should I get a letter from bank along with our signature cards proving the accounts have been joint since 2015 ?   For every step forward I seem to take 3 steps back.    Our house purchase deed chose the legal address.  I can't find the simple legal address anywhere to assist with simple proof of residence.   I do have water and heat etc.  But sheesh !!!   I'm sorry for not being a whiz with this system either.  Had trouble with the "quote" thing.

  3. Thanks everyone.   I am filing under 3 yr as a spouse of US citizen.  (Don't know what a I-751 is)   Married since 2012. I have already uploaded all the "imortant stuff" but was reading the list of  "Below is a list of documents to bring with you to your Form N-400 interview"  and thought it would be helpful to upload more for their review ahead of time ?  I guess I confused everyone by my timeline responses.  But K1 was what I originally applied for.  I did fill in all the other timeline info on my bio page.  I guess that's harder to see ?    I have had Perm Res Card (no Conditions) since Dec 2014.    Should I put that on timeline instead ?  What is the correct acronym for that ?   Again sorry for confusion.

  4. I am going to add extra evidence such as three years joint bank account statements / investment account statements.  The full statements are several pages long.  Would it be sufficient to just upload the first page showing the institution and account numbers and the fact that the accounts are jointly held -  and provide 36 months of these ?   If each statement is 5 -10 pages long it could be 360 pages instead, and I'm worried about size of .jpg at that point as there are size limits.   Thoughts ?

  5. Hello Feb filers !    Did anyone submit EXTRA evidence ?   The last question before the REVIEW app.    In pressing the NEXT button I get the scary yellow box reminder saying I could be slowing down by application.   I have uploaded all my required evidence, but I am not sure what EXTRA would be recommended.   Any suggestions of what they are looking for to speed things along and smooth the waters here ?    I am a March filer.

  6. Oh my gosh !   Thank you so much.   Yes, back in the day I was a paper filer.  Lots and lots and lots of paper. lol    And this time I thought if I signed up for an online account and went that route then surely I was assigned a number once I signed up for an online account.   I didn't realize it happened AFTER I submit.  Thank you thank you for clarifying that.  It was driving me crazy that I couldn't find it.    Much appreciate your time.  As always this site and it's members rock !

  7. Thank you for your quick response.  I have uploaded 2 photos of the page.  They do ask for my A number which I have supplied.  But they also ask for my USCIS Online Account Number.   This is the number I can not find anywhere.   It does not make sense to tick the box that I don't have one because I am signed on to the USCIS system and am filling in the N400 form online so I must have a USCIS Online Account Number.   This is also the page that references the "profile" page that is somewhere on my account page.   I must be blind because I can't find it anywhere.   Does anyone know where it is ?

  8. Hi All.  Back after a long absence.  My GC is expiring end of this year.  Decided to go for citizenship.   Decided to go with online route instead of paper.  Have completed about 98% now.   One page asks me for my USCIS # even though I'm clearly signed on to their system filling in their application.  Sigh.  I have looked everywhere on my account page and can not locate it anywhere.   I have read in the online guides.  It says to locate it on my profile page.  Can not find such a page.  Tried to phone and reach a USCIS agent.  The computer just hangs up on me repeatedly.  Ridiculous.   Can anyone light the way here ?
