  1. I think you are correct regarding the medical exams. Thanks! Thanks. I understand now.
  2. Are you going to keep your Consular Processing IV application open while applying for the H1-B? Thanks.
  3. Thanks. Did you file your visa application by Consular Processing or AOS?
  4. Does anyone know if Canada panel physicians use the same I-693 form to report to MTL? Is the Medical Exam Report still valid only for 6 months? Thanks!
  5. Thank you for letting me know. So far I only received the immdeiate auto reply each time when I sent them an email inquiry. Total 4 times in last 3 months. I never received any standard "template" reply.
  6. Have you ever received any real email response (not the standard auto reply) from MTL?
  7. I think these updates are lights in tunnel. You will be cleared soon. Good luck!
  8. Did you notice a status update around the time when they returned your passport? I saw one on mine yesterday and I am not sure if it is related to my passport-return request. Thanks!
  9. Saw a date update today on CEAC status. Not sure if this update has anything to do with my recent (3/25) passport return request.
  10. Thanks for letting me know. I will wait and see. Thanks for letting me know. I will wait and see.
  11. On 3/25 I requested my passport back via email to Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov and typed “Passport Return – (my case number)” in the subject line as instructed in the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal Immigrant Visa Navigator. Except for the standard auto reply within 1 minute, so far I have not received any feedback from the consulate. Can anyone here ever requested passport back shed some light to me? Is this normal? How much longer should I wait until hearing something from them? TYIA.
  12. Congratulations! Let's hope things for us all will also start moving again. Congratulations! Let's hope things for us all will also start moving again.
  13. Does your case show "Check DS-260 Status" same as mine or show the expiring date now?
  14. I have 2 more questions: After login to the CEAC status checking page, does your page show the same "Check DS-260 Status" or something else? Does the "Check DS-260 Status" mean I need do something on my DS-260? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
  15. If you do not mind, can you please share the following? 1. What country was your dad born in? 2. Have your dad ever worked in USA? If yes, on what visa? 3. Have your dad travelled to and from USA a lot in the last 10 years? 4. Any thing else you think would cause him to AP? TYIA!
  16. No, I have not had any issues or violations when work in USA, not even a traffic ticket. I am working in USA with a TN visa and recently have my TN renewed. I used to commute to work from Canada for the last 20+ years but stopped crossing when my company filed I-129 to renew TN for me in early Feb. this year and stayed in USA ever since then. I am wondering if TN (non-immigrantion intended visa) is the source of the problem.
  17. Have you received anything from CO during and after your interview? Thanks!
  18. Twice. Each time only received the "standard" auto-reply. They are useless to me.
  19. I also received 2 updates in 2 consective days. I do not think it is an either good or bad sign. Sorry I seems lost my typing ability due to this anxiety.

  21. Sorry I made a few typos: Interviewed, petitioned and biggest. I did not find spell check tools here LOL.
  22. Here is my story. Inerviewed with wife (separate cases because of petioned by our son) at MTL on 1/11/2024 at same time with same officer. The interviewing CO "approved" both of our IR5 applications, kept our passports and told us that we will get our passports back with visa in 6 days. Wife did get her visa issued on 1/16 and received her passport back a few days later but my status changed to "refused" when I first check CEAC on 1/17. Since then, another 4 date updates on 2/1, 2/2, 2/7 and 2/13 (last update) but status remain as refused. My bigest concern is that I never received any instructions from the CO during and after the interview. No 221g, no DS5535, not email or regular mail, nothing at all from the MTL office. But the refuse note on the CEAC status page states "A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer". I am concerned that the CO instructions for me got lost somehow on the way. Is there anyone here having the similar experience? Any suggestions on what I should do now will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
