  1. Interview done, visa is in my hands right now. I almost cried twice at the interview, I couldn't believe that things were finally working out. I had received an email that asked for me to fill out DS5535, so I did, and I was terrified. I didn't end up in AP. I am so grateful it has made me speechless. Wishing all my fellow Aug 2023 filers still waiting a very soon reunion with our loved ones.
  2. Leaving an update in case anyone else happens to be in my situation: Though I did fill out the DS 5535, it never came up again. I was approved on the spot at the interview, and the visa is issued and in my hands. It feels very surreal. I don't know if the link was sent to me in error, or they determined it was unnecessary, but it is possible to receive a request to fill out the ds5535 in an email in advance of your interview and then not enter AP. I have had a Nexus card my entire adult life, which means I've already had a background check and biometrics done-- I don't know if that affected anything. I wish I knew the why behind any of it so I could share Wishing everyone luck in this really difficult process.
  3. Tysm for the answer, I appreciate that a lot, what a uniquely horrible situation to be in 💀I am sure we just.. all want to be home with our loved ones, or carrying on with our lives etc. What made it more confusing is I received 3 emails, including a redaction, and then I had no idea if they correctly resent the email 🫠
  4. I got an email confirmation for my June 25th interview at the Montreal consulate, but it seems like there's a link to DS 5535 at the bottom of the email calling it a 'supplemental questionnaire', and it was in a string of emails they sent and recalled. I can't find any information anywhere about DS 5535 being requested this way before the interview. Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else?
  5. We were DQ'd in December and received our interview date today; I'll be going to Montreal for June 25th interview.
  6. We received our consulate interview date for Montreal today June 25! Hope everyone's processes are moving along 🤞
  7. Yep! Fees marked as paid officially today, too-- took about a week after payment before we could proceed with the NVC steps. It only took us a few days to get the welcome letter. When I posted, I didn't realize I'd missed it in my professional inbox email for 2 days!
  8. Received our NVC welcome letter! Took ~8 days.
  9. We started in Texas, but we never checked if we'd been transferred, so not sure if we stayed there!
  10. PD August 22nd, approval letter October 31st! Makes Halloween extra special for us now talk about treat
  11. No, we haven't heard anything yet; fingers crossed for both of us!! Should be any day now 🤞💖

  12. Still waiting, definitely reached the 'tired of being told to be positive' phase. Already have documents prepped for NVC requirements. Just booked a weekend flight to see my husband for our one year anniversary-- anyway, good luck to those of us still waiting on i130 approvals nearly a year later Hope we all get an approval soon.
  13. Congratulations! I hope the interview goes smoothly 🤞All of us deserve to be united with our loved ones, I'm glad you two have your interview date (and it's really not too far away! Nice!) Still no updates for us, I'm definitely sad about it but there's nothing I can do but wait at this point. We uploaded unsolicited extra evidence after our big Christmas trip to see my inlaws, and again after a trip to DC together, I don't think it'll do much at this point but our marriage was super new when we submitted our I130 so we wanted to show ongoing stuff.
  14. It feels so weird there are so few August filers posting. 7 months is already gruelling enough, hope our number comes up soon-- i know it's more likely to take 10-12 but my gosh I'm looking at a 3mo wait just for an appointment, because my embassy is Montreal and it's notoriously slow Definitely ready to be home with my spouse.
