  1. I have asked question such as who schedules the interview date, NVC or local Consulate for IR/CR1 visas and the answer I've got from other VJ members were that NVC schedules the interview date but is the local Consulate that send us the P4 obviously containing the interview date and request for medical and lab exams.

Regarding the medical exams I've called the phisichian, informed about my age and he instructed me of all the required exams and vacinations I should do so I have almost all done, just have a few left to be done but I thought it would be safer if I had some done in advance for my July interview since local Consulate in Brazil sometimes sends P4 too late leaving not enough time in order to get the results in time for the interview.

  2. Hi Loto,

Just spoke to my husband and asked him about this message since he's te one that allways calls NVC and hear the messages and he told me that he kept getting this same message till NVC got our DS 230. So, he suggested me to tell you that you should call NVC and talk to the operator and ask him(or her) if so far they have all your documentation updated. That will solve the mistery, but I believe that this message just mean that they don't have all the documentation requiered to complete your case and it won't change until they get your DS 230.

Let's hope that is just it.

  3. Hi everyone!

The US citizen (petitioner) should contact USCIS and ask instructions for filing the I-130 form. By filing a petition at USCIS for bringing your spouse (beneficiary) to the US you will receive an application receipt number that will make you able to check the status online for the approval on I-130. After filing for the I-130 you'll will receive by mail the NOA1 (Notice of Action) and NOA2 which is the approval of your I-130 petition.

As soon as you get approval on your I-130 you may start contacting NVC which will assign a case# to your process and will mail the beneficiary the DS 3032 which is the choice of agent. That means that you're applying for a CR1 visa since NVC only mail the DS 3032 if you don't file for the I-129. The benefeciary may email NVC with the choice of the agent stating either yourself, your spouse or a lawyer as the agent.

If you go for a CR1 visa the beneficiary won't have to file for any adjustment of status after US POE (port of entry) which means that you won't have any other fees to pay.

If by the time of beneficiary's US POE you have not completed 2 years of marriage the beneficiary will receive a temporary I-551 Stamp and then later a Green Card by mail good for only 2 years. Ninety days before the green card expires beneficiary will have to file an I-751 form to remove it's conditional status.

CR1> if you're less than 2 years married

IR1> if you're 2 or more than 2 years married

With NVC new online payment system you will be able to pay the AOF (Affidavit of Support) and IV fee bills online and using this benefit you'll be saving a lot of time in the whole process. The average time frame for a conclusion used to be 10 months and with this new benefit I believe you'll be saving 2-3 months or so.

  7. Good Afternoon everybody,

Today, I went to the mail and there was our checklist for missing documents. Which that would be our DS230 with supporting documents, that we have not sent out yet. My husband is working on getting them to me, so don't have them in hand just yet.

My question is......since I received this checklist for missing documents, would I be getting another coversheet for the DS230 or is this the one?? :help: I have no clue and most VJr's use the shortcuts and we didn't, so I am confused about this issue.

Our cover sheet says>>> (Checklist Letter Response) and has my husbands name and CR1 at the bottom of the page. I know that we have to send it in with the ds230 but would we be getting another Coversheet for the DS230 itself, since this one is just a checklist??

    Any feedback would be great.

    thanks

    Aisha

Well, since I have not received my DS 230 instructions package yet and used JSC to send our documents to NVC which the automated message confirmed that they received yesterday, I would say that what you have received is the DS 230 instruction package named check list, I would say they are the same thing since it's telling you what documents are being required to be sent. I would send the documents with that check list cover sheet IF it states your barcode case#.

But to reinsure that I would call NVC and ask the operator if the check list you've just received is indeed the barcode coversheet that must be returned with the required docs.

    Hope it helps.

    Good Luck!

  9. Thanks, I think I will need it, still no touches so it looks like it could be a long journey for me.

Well, I think you'll have the benefit of their new online payment system that many filers including me didn't have since it's been working for just a month now I believe. This system makes you able to pay the AOF (Affidavit of Support) and de IV fee bill online which saves you a lot of time since it instantly enters NVC's system and you also save the mail time frame which for NVC takes 3 to 4 weeks every time, so I believe you'll be saving 2 months or even more using this new online payment system.

Here is the link to the page from where you may effect those payments.

  10. I wish I could give you an answer but the only information that i have been able to see about the recent Brazil activity has been for the K3 visa . I dont want to say what happens because they might have different ways of making the appointment for different filers. From what I do know , the consulate does send out packet 4 and for the K3 visa all cases leaving nvc with in the next week or so will be scheduled for the end of July.

Well, by your answer it does make sense what I've heard since cases leaving NVC next week or so will only be excheduled for the end of July and not for the very next month June, right??

Thank you very much for your input, it makes sense for me and it's good enough for me to have a July interview.

Good Luck to you 000!!!

  11. Just to emphasize that she has the right number... at the top of the page you posted it says:

"If you have specific questions about a case, please contact the NVC".

The OP does not have a case... she hasn't filed. The NVC only answers questions once you have your nvc case #....

Easy my friend, when I posted earlier I did not read all the posts neither realized that she had not filed the I-130 yet so we are both clear on that now. Anyaway she may have contact information for USCIS and NVC right away, that won't cause any harm to her situation.

Kiyomi, I would just contact USCIS now and ask instructions for filing I-130 and the petitioner (your husband) should do that. By filing a petition at USCIS you will have an application receipt number that will make you able to check the status online for the approval on I-130. After filing for the I-130 you'll will get NOA1 (Notice of Action) and NOA2 which is the approval of your I-130 petition.

As soon as you get approval on your I-130 you may start contacting NVC which will assign a case# to your process and will mail you the DS 3032 which is the choice of agent. That means that you're applying for a CR1 visa since NVC only mail the DS 3032 if you don't file for I-129. You may email NVC choosing your husband to be the agent (or either yourself or a lawyer), I've chosen my husband to be the agent. If you go for a CR1 visa you don't have to file for any adjustment of status after US POE (port of entry) which means that you won't have any other fees to pay.

If by the time of your US POE you have not completed 2 years of marriage you will receive a temporary I-551 Stamp and then later a Green Card by mail good for only 2 years. Ninety days before the green card expires you will have to file an I-751 form to remove it's conditional status.

  12. I'm not sure about some issues so if some of you know for sure the answer it would be very much appreciated:

For appointment post consulates does NVC schedules the interview?? Do they do this right after Case is completed or does this happen in the second week of each month and the date is scheduled for the very next month??

For appointment posts is package 4 sent by NVC or local consulates ???

    Thanks

    :help: Anyone?

  13. "NVC only does interview scheduling the second week of every month, so if your processing isn't complete by next week, NVC will not schedule you for another month."

Just got this information from another site, so based on that and many other posts I've been reading here mentioning interview scheduling in the second week of every month I would advice everyone if whenever you're closed to the end of the month and have all your set of documents ready to go and have your barcode either from DOS or JSC in hands rush them by overnight mail in order to get the docs delivered there either in the end of the month or at the latest by the begining of the first week of each month so that you may have your case completed in time to have your interview date scheduled for the very next month, otherwise you'll have wasted the whole month...that's what happened to me. My DS 230 was sent on May 5 (I could have sent it earlier, just was affraid of doing it since I was using JSC and wanted to be sure of the date that DS 230 was generated and took a week or more to get the precised date) and it will only be completed by next week which is the third week of the month and now I'll have to wait for second week of June to have an interview date scheduled for July only.

  14. I'm not sure about some issues so if some of you know for sure the answer it would be very much appreciated:

  15. Hello,

I am sooo happy my case at NVC has been completed. Now I am wondering when the the interview would be scheduled? My case will be sent to the Islamabad consulate which is not considered a standard consulate for visa processing. I think they call it appointment post or something like that.

I knwo NVC will schedule my wife's interview and send the file to ISL.

I spoke with NVC rep today, she said they schedule interviews in second week of the month for the following month and I would not be able to get on June list but we are still in the second week and my case was completed on 5/6.

Any idea when the interview could be scheduled? I really don't want to wait until June for it to be scheduled.

A lot of times NVC reps give you standard answers, so I am hoping that my wife's interview could be scheduled for June.

Could someone post a link to Islamabad forum if there is one.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Congratulations!!!

  17. Hi everyone!

Can anybody tell me how will you know if your ds230 is generated already..

    Thank's much!

    dennishiella

Hi Dennishiella, usually NVC generates DS 230 on Mondays (mine was Apr/21), so I asked my husband to keep calling NVC to get a date from them since we would be using JSC to generate our barcode coversheet and they confirmed it as Apr 21. I was sure that it would be a Monday date since I had read many posts in here mentioning that they generate DS 230 on Mondays and they did so. Keep calling them untill you get a date from them, they will let you know for sure!

    Good Luck!

  18. I just recieved the appt letter from NVC and they list all the immunizations that the US requires, but my question is how many have people had to take in order to get through the interview?

here is the list (I am sure this list will help those not yet this far too):

    Mumps, Measles, Rubella=MMR

    Polio

    Tetanua and Diptheria

    Pertussis

    Infuenza type b (Hib)

    Hep B

    varicella

    Pneumococcal

    Influenza

Now our interview is 4 weeks away and if we need to get more of these then we need to start now...I dont want to have to spend high price to get them and the panal physicians office. PLZ help with any information you may have regarding this....Thank you

Hi Indianheart, I'm 37 and just had to take 3 of them which are MMR, TD and Varicella. I've got that information from the physician office. I had 2 of them for free just we'll have to pay for the Varicella one which is the only still left to be taken.

    Good Luck!

  19. The following is what we may find on the guides and that's how I've allways proceeded like and everytime I email them, they take 5 working days for a response.

    The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

In order to ensure a prompt response:

-The Subject Line of the e-mail should be the relevant NVC Case Number.

-Provide the applicant’s name and date of birth and the petitioner’s name and date of birth.

-If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information.

-If the petition is employment-based, include the company/organizational name.

-Reference only one case per e-mail.

The following is what I use on my emails to NVC:

    case# on subject line :

    case nbr: XXXYYYYYYYYYY

    Petitioner: Last, First Middle Name

    Petitioner's Date of Birth: xx/xx/xxxx

    Beneficiary: Last, First Middle Name

    Beneficiary's Date of Birth: xx/xx/xxxx

Please provide status on our case.

    Thank you very much!

I hope it helps you guys!
